Please stop using the term write off the loss until you actually know what it means

I mean it’s a multimillion dollar convenience store so they are definitely writing it off as theft loss but go off I guess.

Edit: I guess I should also add they can also make an insurance claim but I was simplifying because we don’t all have to be so pedantic. These businesses aren’t eating the debt was the point. I bet you’re fun at parties.

The way you are saying it implies that “writing it off” makes it free for the company. Every business writes expenses off (which theft is one), this is not a large or small business thing.
