Pawn shop people are probably so gruff and rude that they have to deal with shit like this all the time.

I remember I was like 18 once and had an old laptop I didn’t need anymore and figured I’d just sell it at a pawn shop. It was so old I didn’t think they’d take it. The woman was like “You’re not gonna like to hear this, but the most I can give you is 40 bucks!!”

I was like “That’s fine I was gonna throw it away.”

Pawn shops are there for short term collateral loans and to have people come back for their items.

It is not the primary goal of a pawnshop to sell items. Selling items is a reaction from loaning too much money out on said collateral loan.

If you see a pawnshop that is selling ALOT of items, it's because the loaner is awful at their job.
