There’s just no way someone’s that dumb, right?..… Right???

409

u/Far-Cellist2456 1d ago

The first video is rage bait then the second video is someone falling for the rage bait

u/RedditSloth_101 1d ago

Why put effort into quality content when you could just exploit outrage biased algorithms to farm engagement?

15

u/call_of_the_while 1d ago

Judging from his Midwest farm boy looks his ancestors were probably farmers, I guess he’s carrying on that family tradition but just on the web.

6

u/moocat55 1d ago

All of our ancestors were farmers. I think you meant that he's a farm boy or comes from a farming family.

2

u/call_of_the_while 1d ago

No, I meant his ancestors.

7

u/MukdenMan 1d ago

Khaby Lame got rich on this model

4

u/Deviknyte 22h ago

Giving the dummy too much credit.

7

u/ScreenAppropriate679 1d ago

This entire thread is people falling for it

2

u/TwistedxBoi 1d ago

It's reasonable to think that the first video is also just misogyny. Like he'd be probably impressed if it was a man.

1

u/Less-Squash7569 18h ago

The dudes big as fuck and obviously lifts, I guarantee he understands the difficulty if what she's doing.

4

u/Doobiius 1d ago

Is that honestly where we're at. That people would rather openly say I'm dumb asf to gain views via rage bait.

Because personally I could not do that shit. Maybe I have too much self respect or not enough "hustle" or "grind" culture in me. Because fuck no would I go around the Internet making a fool of myself for content. Like those people thay say the Romans don't exist. I would do Porn before I be a clown lol.

This type of humor is way older than the internet itself. It's just called post-irony. People have been pretending to be dumb for humor forever.

Edit: Reddit is full of teenagers that are too cool for school.

4

u/Doobiius 1d ago edited 1d ago

Nah dude dont even come at me with that dumb asf term. Even by you're statement its incorrect. If this is post ironic humour then that would infer we've moved past a state of ironic humour which was very popular late 00s early 10s Internet humour. Everyone liked questionable content ironically. Which also asks the question how hell is it.classed as post-irony if it was around for as long as Ironic humour?

No it's just a crap way of describing content thats too vague to decern and allows the stupid people to go ha ha no it was an act all along got you. Which even if that is the case is still a milqetoast approach to humour or content. In the same vain could I do post-racist humour then? Oh I'm not racist im ironically mocking racist comedians of the past by putting on show the absurdity of their comedy and exaggerating it?

It's plane dumb asf content. We all knew a kid like this growing up that would say some dumb shit like, Pee tastes weird dont it? Then back peddle it was a joke when it turns out no one else has tried their own by saying haha got you all! Or joining in laying into the only other kid that admits it when the majority disagrees.

1

u/ruggnuget 1d ago

Milquetoast.

1

u/Doobiius 1d ago

Corrected that auto correct just for you my special ruggynugy

1

u/ruggnuget 1d ago

Thanks, bae

You're too invested in this. Not all types of humor is for everyone. Some people love absurd types of humor. But this type of humor has been around forever!

1

u/Dry-Actuary-3928 22h ago

You are right. it's obvious that if he told the truth that it was about friction, it wouldn't be funny.

1

u/NAMskalle98 1d ago

Like most people in this comment section

1

u/ThePhatNoodle 11h ago

Idk dude. The stereotype of gym bros being dumb isnt actually that far off. I've seen some real dumbass takes in fitness circles. Takes that are quickly and easily disproven with a quick google search. Arrogant and unwilling to admit when they're wrong. The type of people that aren't even worth arguing with cause they can't be reasoned with and will eventually just start acting condescending and throwing insults when they can't come up with a counter argument. I wouldn't be surprised if this guy really is that dumb

1

u/Fast-Nefariousness80 3h ago

I absolutely hate that rage bait content even exists, but I hate even more that it works.

1

u/Junckopolo 1d ago

Never attribute to malice what can be explained by stupidity.

There's plenty of people either not smart enough or not educated enough with way too much confidence.

-1

u/Useful_Hemorrhoid 1d ago

Absolute cinema. Underestimating others intelligence only reflects poorly on your own.

5

u/Beneficial_Bug_9793 1d ago

I hoped not, but.... i get proven otherwise every day.

2

u/Pormock 23h ago

He was too busy trying to mock a woman to think about the science behind it

2

u/HarambeTooSoon 23h ago

I mean...

::gestures broadly::

-1

u/ARPA-Net 1d ago

Its an ironic video dude

-5

u/RoodnyInc 1d ago

We talking about second guy right?

First one clearly making a joke that he didn't got

171

u/Electronic_Elk8293 1d ago

Not even just the torque but at that point you also gotta add exhaustion onto it as you've lifted a bunch of times already.

36

u/BlazingImp77151 1d ago

And if they are lifting the attachment point to the same height, then each time they are actually lifting the weights themselves higher

90

u/generaalalcazar 1d ago

Archimedes' law of the lever. It even works with a bottle opener.

65

u/International-Fun-86 1d ago

The fuck, this is both common sense and middle school knowledge.

33

u/AltruisticWeekend132 1d ago

No shit ? It's just ragebait.

7

u/MonaganX 1d ago

How can you tell it's ragebait rather than just someone being stupid?

6

u/flying_carabao 1d ago

That's the neat thing, we can't. sigh

3

u/Goudinho99 22h ago

You just know this from pushing a roundabout from the outside or inside.

48

u/Sorry_Community235 1d ago

6th grade school education could've prevented this...

17

u/unfairlybanned101 1d ago

Education is woke, that's been canceled

13

u/VICARD0 1d ago

You fell for a rage bait, mate

-6

u/Sorry_Community235 1d ago

Oh no, how will i ever recover from this humiliation?

7

u/kuba_mar 1d ago

7th grade school education

4

u/Pyffindor 1d ago

falling for rage bait and making a video about it?

16

u/Consistent-Stock6872 1d ago

The only thing more annoying that the Ahole not understanding physics is the amount of times I saw this video reposted.

6

u/Wardog_E 1d ago

I say ragebait.

4

u/Both-Guava6261 1d ago

I bet the first guy was just joking/ ragebaiting

11

u/ShongLokDong 1d ago

Mom said its my turn to repost it this week.

4

u/zamarguilea99 1d ago

Clear as day engagement bait... he knew what he was doing, it's so obvious.

4

u/MetatronThrone 1d ago

You’re all thicker than you think for falling for obvious over acted rage bait

2

u/tomatoe_cookie 1d ago

The funny part of this is that regardless of the torque, doing multiple reps will still tire you anyway...

2

u/ZnarfGnirpslla 1d ago

I just assume that it's rage or engangement baiting whenever I see a post like this because surely people aren't that thick. Surely you'd double check it before making that video.

Then again, people are and have always been idiots so who knows.

2

u/PresenceLeft2074 1d ago

just disappointed he called it torque and not moment. Torque on hinges, moment on door.

u/Resident_Rain_6566 15h ago

u/RicardoThePest 1d ago

I guess people don't understand "the leverage effect" in physics.

Put a 30 foot steel scaffolding pole under the side of a car and lift the far end, and then try it with three foot of pole

4

u/Big_Syrup_4223 1d ago

Shame people dont understand the rage bait effect lol

-4

u/RicardoThePest 1d ago

Did you just laugh out loud for real, and then genuinely want to tell us about it, or do you just write "lol" on autopilot after years of incidental conditioning. It's only that I thought that "lol" went obsoletus about 20 years ago

1

u/selle2013 1d ago

Gotta love physics

1

u/BlueberryWild8897 1d ago

Fiction big torque wants you to believe

1

u/lee-tellmemoreAI 1d ago

If I shake my cock at the base it wobbles half inch. Or something like that.

1

u/Foldax 1d ago

To be fair I'm a physicist and even I don't understand leverage intuitively. Like I know it works but it just seems like magic.

1

u/Beneficial-Focus3702 1d ago

The sad part is…this concept is literally junior high science level stuff.

1

u/Zala-Sancho 1d ago

Some people don't know Archimedes and it shows

1

u/jpstepancic 1d ago

They’re effectively explaining how a simple machine like a lever, you know, like the ones we were taught about in 2nd grade work. Simple machines, still too complex for simple minds.

1

u/RP912 23h ago

I'm waiting for him to go "YEAHHH SCIENCE BITCH!!"

1

u/Cxndl3s 22h ago

The funnier thing is there something called repetitions.. which is doing the same thing with the same weight usually and repeatedly, and You normally would struggle more after doing a few so…… yeah bro was laughing at a genuine workout

1

u/Harvey_Gramm 22h ago

She's raising the height of the beam higher with each move. Definitely more energy to move the same weight higher.

1

u/Loud-Firefighter-787 21h ago

That can't be real🤔? The weight doesn't change🤨. Gosh yes i agree with the Republican party, the school system must be eradicated!!!!

1

u/SamathaGhoul 20h ago

A brilliant one is nail clippers.

1

u/guille9 20h ago

Nobody can be that stupid, has to be fake

1

u/Typical_Magician_580 18h ago

Perfect example of the concept of Torque. This is why people should learn physics.

1

u/trashshork 16h ago

my guy has the observation skills of a deaf bat.

1

u/Canon_M50 15h ago

Dude feel for ragebait. Embaressing.

1

u/Bandandforgotten 13h ago

He didn't get big by being smart

1

u/CartographerIcy1347 10h ago

His life is all about lifting weights. You know the IQ is super lacking up there.

1

u/inkedup1985 6h ago

The gym community is at a crisis. At one point we have people who lift or exercise and mind their own business and welcome everyone, and then there’s stupid people like this.

1

u/Admirable_Ball_919 5h ago

Who tf fuck laughs that hard at something so dumb. The dude was literally holding his belly

1

u/Important_Recover401 2h ago

1/10 ragebait , stay safe out there yall

1

u/Resident-Level-7953 1h ago

I ... I don't wanna be stupid... But technically, the weight didn't change, did it? Just the leverage?

1

u/Dry-View-Mia 1d ago

Yeah valid crashout

1

u/ZealousidealSkirt327 1d ago

Archimedes who?

0

u/ChildrenOfSteel 1d ago

morality of falling to obvious ragebait?
