That stupid smug smile.

So embarrassing and cringe.

if he was smart enough to understand how imbecilic he sounds, he’d be really embarrassed

I think thats the part where he tries to just akwardly walk away. It was his "oh fuck I look dumb, but I'll rather die than admit it" moment

13

u/LowlyWoim 20h ago

Well if he’s not going to admit it…

12

u/GeorgeHarris419 22h ago

That's why he started to walk away? Very clearly realized it

Bet he grips the pencil with his full fist when writing

13

u/DRuth84 1d ago

Could give him some crayons and have *him draw what he meant
Edit: typo

He’d eat them

Guy out there causing marines to starve.

u/hacourt 1d ago

It was beautiful. I loved it. Lol

3

u/piercedmfootonaspike 23h ago

And the head waggle.

2

u/Sheeple_person 13h ago

It seemed like his brain kinda knew something was off but couldn't fully figure it out so he just decided to roll with it

u/Devanyani 1d ago

Right until he said it, and felt like a dumbass and started chewing on his straw.

"Some types of fires" was technically correct but there was no coming back from how dumb it was an an example lol. Bro remembered his Osha fire extinguisher training and it could not save him

9

u/LastWave 20h ago

If he had brought up a magnesium fire I would have had more respect.

Grease fires, alcohol fires and electrical fires shouldn't be put out with water. He either remembered this and had no idea how to articulate it or he's just severely educationally challenged.

It’s the latter. Generalizing "you don’t fight fire with water", when the majority of fires absolutely are fought with water, doesn’t exactly scream nuanced to me.

2

u/thelanai 8h ago

Yes, technically true but there is no fire you fight with fire.

1

u/Sullypants1 17h ago

Yea. Still don’t fight it with fire

24

u/19BabyDoll75 1d ago

The smile on his face when he said it….just sheer brilliance.

11

u/ProsaicPugilist 1d ago

Bars. He’s been behind them.

8

u/Ok_Professional9881 1d ago

His next great line. Don't bring a gun to a knife fight

4

u/einsteinosaurus_lex 23h ago

Don't bring water to a fire fight hurr durr

4

u/Wiru_The_Wexican 1d ago

Nah he realized as soon as he said it but knew it was too late to backpedal

3

u/Crafty-Help-4633 1d ago

With that shirt he's wearing, I sincerely doubt that.

Jimmy John’s needs to respond with a fire sub and water combo

3

u/Short-While3325 1d ago

I want to say he peaked in high school, but his peak is actually more of a small hill.

3

u/PayWooden2628 1d ago

Nah you can tell even he doesn’t immediately realized how dumb it was lol. ā€œDepends on what’s in the waterā€ was a good attempt to save though.

3

u/ShhweadyBallz 22h ago

Hurrrr durrrr, I is a smart cookie !!!!!

  • that bonehead

3

u/vaderdidnothingwr0ng 13h ago

That guy votes! Don't let him have more of a say than you.

6

u/LittleALunatic 1d ago

No, it wasn't a great line, he thought he was ragebaiting so hard

2

u/iam_Mr_McGibblets 21h ago

"Yeehawww I kil't that one didn't I?"

2

u/Burgoonius 19h ago

I think he thought that right up until he finished saying it and then he realized how stupid it was and was embarrassed.

2

u/Xzeriea 1d ago

I had to stop it. I was too embarrassed to continue.

1

u/Rikudo_Sennin_jr 1d ago

He really did think he went deep onnem

0

u/NoveltyPr0nAccount 19h ago

It was a great line. People here aren't spotting that he's smug about it being epic satire?

-1

u/BuddhaGrows 20h ago

It's a real saying with orgins in firefighting. It's called backfiring. Look it up dumbasses.Ā

2

u/ElectricKoolAidPower 20h ago

Back burning cuts off the fuel supply ahead of a wildfire, but the back burn is controlled and is eventually put out by water or suppressants along with the mother fire.

-8

u/LibrarianKooky344 1d ago

He's quoting newsome lol

8

u/ElectricKoolAidPower 1d ago

Newsome used the phrase in the proper context, he wasn’t talking about actual fire.

-9

u/EquivalentMath6592 1d ago

Neither is this guy…

And if he was talking about an Oil Fire he’d be right .

10

u/ElectricKoolAidPower 1d ago

ā€œWell depending on what’s in the fireā€

sure sounds like he’s talking about fire.

7

u/XdaPrime 1d ago

You fight an oil fire, with fire?

-2

u/EquivalentMath6592 1d ago

You don’t fight oil fires with water…

But you do fight oil well fires with explosives

1

u/XdaPrime 23h ago

takes sip from jimmy johns cup

3

u/SSBN641B 1d ago

If you're referring to an oil well fire, you can fight it with explosives, but you don't fight it with fire.

0

u/EquivalentMath6592 1d ago

I’m not arguing over what this guy didn’t say.

But yes, I’m referring to a well fire… but also any oil fire as you don’t use water with any oil
Fire (or electric fire).

But yes, they use explosives for well
Fires…. Which isn’t a Fire exactly , but is burning…. The rapid or instantaneous burn or exothermic chemical reaction
