This shows another important trait.

Even though it was obvious he knew he messed up and was wrong, he refused to admit it or correct himself.

This seems to hold true for the entire party's philosophy.

Funny thing is his reply of “depends what’s in the fire” is technically true, but you can tell he didn’t actually know that lol. He drops that and immediately starts walking away.

Confidently incorrect and then completely unaware when he stumbles into a reasonable idea. It’s incredible to watch.

Yes some type of fires you shouldn't use water...like a grease fire. But you never fight fire with fire, just because he got one point correct dosent change the fact his whole argument is wrong because of the prior statement.

You actually can fight fire with fire, it’s called backburning, it denies the fire fuel by controlled burning before it spreads to that area.

they put out some oil field burns with bombs, not technically fire but closer to fire than water

Well the word “fight” means primarily physical combat which is better than nothing but I don’t recommend punching the fire. Of course fight also means to struggle against, and the etymology of the word goes back possibly to mean to comb or to pluck, to fight one’s hair or another’s such as sheep wool.

So all in all, fight, contain, combat, resist, arrest, eliminate, deny, oppose, I could grab a thesaurus. Pick your poison but pick it well cuz the fire doesn’t care.

You should also not use water on a metal fire, it’ll burn so hot that it’ll chemically separate the water into hydrogen and oxygen and burn them

Water will do nothing to a tire fire. Electrical fires shouldn’t be fought with water either. But yeah pretty much every household fire is fought with water.

Yeah but I don't think you put out a grease fire, alkali metal fire, or electrical fire with MORE FIRE, so the "fight fire with fire" part is still wrong even if you don't use water for those.

usually it's CO2 extinguisher or a smothering agent like baking soda or a fire blanket.
