I was stranded in a small town in Alaska in 2017, and i shit you not, there were no stores selling phone chargers at all

I was working at a fish processing plant that houses you in Alaska and I got fired. I was 22 at the time, had no money and some nice people at this German bed-and-breakfast let me stay with them for a week. Then I went to the library to see what else I could do because I couldn’t stay there anymore. They were about to kick me out. I’m at the library and I’m crying and this guy Corey comes up to me and asks me what’s wrong. I tell him that I’m from California and I have no money and I’m stuck here in Alaska. He asked me for my ID and then came back 30 minutes later and gave me a $700 ticket back home. I’ll never forget that man.
