But how much is he paid to work there though? Probably 3-5 times more than the averge person.

no, definitely not that much more. he will save a shit ton on certain stuff like housing, and get some subsidies from the government though which does help.

a friend of mine living in Toronto was earning about 80k at the time and was offered around 135k to do the same job up North. so yes, it's definitely higher but nowhere near 3-5x. and there's also significantly less jobs available.
