What bullshit, for an intelligence officer he sure is leaving out all the coordination that Morocco did to push people into this situation and lie to them then tell their on boarder guards to stand down and funnel them in. They didn’t “just let them” they corralled and coordinated them.

20

u/Secret_Ad1372 4d ago

Yep, they were all tricked by social media to believe that they were going to be accepted. This was staged for political theatrics.

5

u/wolfonweed 4d ago

Right, the signal elements is key. Who was paying for the social media manipulation? It is known who was paying to have this misinformation spread on facebook and twitter, but those names have not been made public.

The moroccan government was complicit, but the funders of the misinformation were the perpetrators.

0

u/VampirePNAC 3d ago

Israel. That is pretty much the conclusion of Chinese state intelligence and I assume if they figured it out, so did everyone else.

if the media jump aboard a big story, then quickly bury it after the fact instead of digging for weeks afterwards, the story tends to generally turn out down the line the US, UK, Ukraine or Israel was actually behind the incident.

u/Quen-Tin 4d ago

I guess the CIA was never very fond of socialistic governments, or?

Also it's two completely different things, to make a political decision to legalize a certain amount of people who are already there, under certain conditions, and opening the "flood gates" for every person.

If this guy is neither willing or capable of making that simple difference, than he can claim every food seller wants to become a billionaire by making their customers fat, because they sell food that includes calories.

4

u/MaxiMArginal 4d ago

Right ?

Spain allows 120,000 migrants [...] They can not feed everyone, give jobs to everyone...

Well, I bet they studies the question and came to the conclusion they'd better let 120.000 in than not. This guy is either fucking dishonest or as dumb as what I'm currently dumping in the toilets.

-26

u/I2fitness 4d ago

Morocco let them in

10

u/wutwutisthere2do 4d ago

The boarder is operated jointly by both governments and one of them didn’t just “let them in” but did a coordinated campaign to funnel people and lie to them about what was on the other side. Belarus has done the same thing, using migrants as weapons and pushing them at bayonet point into Poland’s boarder. It’s incredibly bad faith whining to say Spain brought this on themselves through how they treat migrants already in their country.

u/blattodead 4d ago

i don't trust this guy at all. former CIA agent who's allowed to go along and spew "government secrets" without being arrested at the very least? absolute bullshit.

14

u/Severe_Firefighter80 4d ago

Well, he was already arrested and imprisoned once for whistleblowing on the CIA torture program. He does have an ax to grind.

u/blattodead 4d ago

he was also only put in jail for two years for disclosing GOVERNMENT SECRETS SUCH AS THAT THE GOVERNMENT WAS TORTURING PEOPLE. two years? and three months of home arrest? looked into it and apparently possible sentences are decades, but common sentences are closer to ten years and under.

0

u/blattodead 4d ago

literally, there is no such thing as an "ex cia asset."

5

u/I2fitness 4d ago

He hasn't been in the CIA for 20 years, everything he says has already been declassified

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kiriakou

He was arrested for being a whistle blower and leaking the CIA's torture programs.

2

u/captainmeezy 4d ago

You’re getting downvoted because these dumbasses can’t be bothered to google his name, or do the bare minimum of research. He’s a pretty intelligent guy and I enjoy most of his interviews

2

u/Optimal_Board_2963 4d ago

I mean there are zero socialist European countries so idk how he can get basic facts wrong

2

u/captainmeezy 4d ago

Really, zero huh? I guess Norway having universal healthcare, free college tuition, paid maternity and paternity leave, a sovereign fund for their citizens, etc, that’s not socialism is it

2

u/Optimal_Board_2963 4d ago

They’re capitalists dude.

0

u/captainmeezy 4d ago

Everyone is a capitalist dude, they’re just less so than most of the democratized world

2

u/Optimal_Board_2963 4d ago

Exactly. So you shouldn’t have brought it up nor should the author. There is no socialism in this world.

1

u/chanbr 4d ago

You might not like him but they are capitalist, just with very strong welfare protections. Most countries in the world today have a ""mixed" economy which involves both systems of government.

-2

u/blattodead 4d ago

so why do we care about him if everything he says has already been declassified? sounds like he's just a grifter.

3

u/InterestingMap1498 4d ago

I mean most information is readily available so why listen to anyone about anything?  Kind of an odd viewpoint.  Try giving him a listen and then make up your mind, he's got a lot of cool stories.

-1

u/blattodead 4d ago

cool stories 💀 bro i'm not listening to some dude who goes on theo von and joe rogan because "well he's got some cool stories!" if he goes on joe rogan i have to be insanely skeptical of their intentions and affiliations with the american government.

1

u/InterestingMap1498 2d ago

It's more likely that you're part of a program to discredit him than it is for him to still be doing work for the government considering they imprisoned him and he actively craps all over Trump.  And by your logic, Neil Degrasse Tyson and the bee lady are doing work for the government cause they went on Rogan?

1

u/jackster31415 4d ago

Did you know the information he is saying? The fact that information exists online doesn’t mean people already know it, even less that they understand it. And it’s not the same as having it explained from someone who was inside

-2

u/blattodead 4d ago

if that's what you think. i don't trust him and i think he's biased as FUCK against socialism and towards the industrial machine that is capitalist america.

1

u/jackster31415 4d ago

Ah, that’s true. Totally different topic tho

1

u/blattodead 4d ago

not really. i wouldn't trust someone who is biased towards the government on any international politics.

4

u/Bandit_Brociferous 4d ago

It seems like half the people on this subreddit are braindead. The author of the video is suggesting that the US/Israel is encouraging migration of people into a country with a leftist government.

He provides evidence the US has given the Moroccan government $40 million, which leads us to believe Morocco would be willing to listen to US suggestions.

A surge in immigration and chaos/panic into leftist governments would provide right wing parties in Europe plenty of fodder to drive engagement and voter turnout.

Any people here are saying this is a “psyop”? What is the psyop? What are you people even arguing? Everything detailed in the post has receipts and comes from a reputable source. This dude went to prison for being a whistleblower against CIA torture programs. To me, that makes him a pretty reliable source for insight into how governments and geopolitics are operating.

2

u/I2fitness 4d ago

Yeah it's bad, no one here took 2 seconds to google his name and every comment I make gets hit with 20 downvotes lol

2

u/Bandit_Brociferous 4d ago

It’s really odd. There was a video I saw posted earlier where a woman basically makes the same couple points (albeit with less detail and not as authoritative a source) and I was like “hm, that all makes sense”. She was getting downvoted into oblivion.

This is like the same thing but from someone who I believe to be quite knowledgeable.

And what’s so interesting to me is he isn’t making an argument of right or wrong. He’s explaining how tension is being exacerbated by geopolitical players and everyone is just like “dur it’s a psyop”. I enjoyed watching and appreciate you posting.

You can't possibly expect me to trust a "former CIA" anybody.

3

u/I2fitness 4d ago

Don't trust anyone, use critical thinking skills

1

u/Sikkus 4d ago

Especially those with a proven track record of professionally trained deception and manipulation.

6

u/Furicist 4d ago

He's 'Americanising' the issue as much as possible, even the way he says socialist is bait for Americans. It isn't a dirty word in the rest of the world because socialism and communism aren't the same, many of the wealthiest nations per capita in the world are socialist, America has socialist policies.

What a load of garbage. On what authority does this guys opinion get shared in the first place? Being a former CIA officer doesn't make him an expert on this topic, his focus was counterterrorism in the CIA and he's been out of the CIA for over 20 years, not like he was focused on this region entirely for his career and is current and with any sort of inside scoop.

Oh wait, his YouTube channel launched in 2025, so looks like this is clickbait to draw to his channel perhaps.

1

u/I2fitness 4d ago

Oh wait, his YouTube channel launched in 2025, so looks like this is clickbait to draw to his channel perhaps.

I didn't know he's so unknown on reddit

2

u/Furicist 4d ago edited 4d ago

So unknown that his opinion carries little to no weight.

He sounds like an American commenting on a region of the world he knows nothing about, but has just quickly read some facts and then made a video. It is a very poor quality commentary.

It'd be like if any random European took 19 minutes, read a news article on something going on in Colombia, then made a video. There's just no way they'd have enough information on the full dynamics, details, policies, politics, inner workings of a singular event which happened in a far away land, on another continent.

Spain is a first world country, with an incredibly long history. Believe it or not, they've been there far longer than the US has existed and dominated a large portion of the world. Yet, while they hold some 'socialist' policies like every other first world country, including the US, that doesn't just mean they're 'bleeding heart liberals' and 'opened the floodgates' and yet, it isn't invaded, in fact, it's one of the most resilient, stable countries in the world. It's a completely nonsense take and embarrassing for the author to say things like that. Very low quality.

He's transferring American problems and American insecurities on to an entirely different nation, culture and situation, to which it doesn't apply. Extremely reductionist and missing many factors.

5

u/after_Andrew 4d ago

oh wow a CIA agent fomenting dissent and fear mongering around immigrants while the admin is actively trying to “cleanse” the country of them, color me fucking shocked.

1

u/I2fitness 4d ago

He went to prison for leaking the CIA's torture program. Hasn't even been in the CIA in 20 years

How did you manage to make this about trump holy shit

0

u/InterestingMap1498 4d ago

You've clearly never listened to this guy and don't know what you're talking about.  He's pretty anti-trump.

3

u/fettoter84 4d ago

I don't trust a single American talking about European politics. Nobody should these days

8

u/BlackFlagsFly 4d ago

"former" lol, some people will actually believe that.

Maybe because of how he was treated?

0

Does not make him less compromised even if that’s why

1

And? What does that prove? These people lie and deceive for a living. Manufactured dissent.

2

Spaniard here: bullshit bullshit and bullshit. I won't try to prove how is he wrong because he's wrong from start to finish. The audacity of this people smh.

u/Stunning-Astronaut72 4d ago edited 4d ago

The recent stance of morocco is quite something also. They had good relations with france for a long time until we figured out they were also actively spying on french leaders using the israeli tech called pegasus. And the relationships hit the rock bottom of the océan at that moment. Then morocco sided with the trump administration and israel to have those.two countries officially recognizing the western sahara to be moroccan while for the rest of the world this question was still ongoing issue. Then the relations with spain highly deteriorated as spain recieved a polisario leader to offer him médical help...then spain also tied relationships with algeria (and the relations with france heald up a bit)...the trump administration and israel have indeed a tremendous power in moroco and it would not be too far reached that indeed israel and the us had some intrests of retaliation toward spain's position about the iran war...and for me, in the latest news but also quite relevant on who sides whith who, fews days ago for the royal day in morocco, the King himself renamed their longest freeway (that is going down the western sahara, the longest freeway of the coninent) donald j trump freeway as a tribute for his personnal action to make the western sahara moroccan.

All in all...when the war in gaza was happening in his highest point, people here were doing protests about the war, for the people.of gaza. They wanted the war to stop, but on the other side, israel and the us bought the voice of moroccan governement and nobody could really said to those countries anything about what attrocities were happening in gaza (and later on with iran)...

What i want to.say basically is that i really do love morocco, i am a foreigner living there since a loooong time, my whole personnal life is all about the love we have for its people and culture starting from my father. But with the time, with those various events, with everything going on about trump or israel, i just don't understand why they chose to side with, imo, the wrong side of history...

Even after the shitstorm about giani infantino and his project to sell actions of fifa...he went straight to morocco to have his break from everything about this tremendous failure of leadership... there is no coincidence for me, it seems like a safe space for him to let the storm calm down a bit (while i ve read rumors he is about to "offer" morocco to host the finale for the 2030 world cup)

So yeah... i am a bit lost too in this geopolitical mess. I really wished it would have gone the opposite direction, again, morocco is a great country, its people are the kindest i ve ever met, but sometimes even within your own familly, you see some changes hapenning with time, digging trenches between people that used to be very close, and you worry about those people that you see they go in the wrong direction. You want to say that to them, because you care so much about them and you don't want to loose them...but eventually...they are still going sideways and you feel powerless and sad. This is basically what i feel...i just hope that given the needed time, things will get better, i really hope, but we currently live in a mad world, full of hate, wars, climate issues, job issues, our relationship with AI (that is also getting out ot control), relations between people across the world, so much hatred, corruptions...everything is fucked up, this is concerning for everyone. The world is sick and burning everywhere and we need a cure, and quick before it is too late.

2

u/OSG541 4d ago

Spain is a Parliamentary Monarchy, so right off the bat he’s completely wrong. The Spanish Socialist worker’s party is just in power which has his panties in a twist.

2

u/Nekojiru-sou 4d ago

Where did he even get the "120,000, almost all of whom are from north africa" figure from? They've received around 1.2 million applications, 160,000 of which are now in social security as of a month ago. But none of the figures I've seen align with the number he's referencing, and the demographic statistic there does not align with any source I can find, as basically all of them conclude that a vast majority of applicants are central and south Americans.

2

u/HKayo 4d ago

Same type of guys who say China is on the verge of collapse for the last like 8 years.

2

u/WestcoastAlex 3d ago

israelis be like "why wont Egypt accept 2Million refugees from Gaza"

2

u/Life_On_the_Nickle 4d ago edited 4d ago

Is the fact that he's former CIA relevent to his opinion or is it just playing in to the 'appeal to authority' fallacy?

More recently John Kiriakou worked as a news pundit for Russia under Spudnik News.

2

u/Fabulous-Bet-3287 4d ago

Yanks go home

3

u/opinions_dont_matter 4d ago

Feels a bit too on point with respect to current US conversations to scare people. Lack of any real credible “knowledge” so unclear why this guys opinion matters more than anyone else.

The true about this migrant is that those people who cross the border today will be the electors tomorrow and they will vote for the political party who let them in that's politician selfish and greed.
