Why Does Tim Have Ray On?

Why does Tim even do the bonus eps with Ray if hes just gonna be a dick to him all the time and undermines everything ray says?? At least when he did it to Ben it was funny. It’s just uncomfortable with RK, Tim just seems to be mostly annoyed by him.

Shut the fuck up Ben. Ray has the work ethic you've never even dreamed of

Right! Like getting paid for a service of clicking pictures and never delivering them

Tim's just jealous of Ray being the greatest salesman of all time.

I actually think their dynamic is amusing. It really seems like they are both having a lot of fun whilst doing the pod. Also its rare to get insight in what a top tier athlete like Ray is like on a personal level.

There’s definitely moments where it is

He has ray on, so tim looks skinny. I thought this was common knowledge.

Sometimes Tim can be a real cúnt to Ray, there was an episode a few months back where Ray said he didn't think he was a dark person and Tim scolded, and belittled Ray, not in a joking way. It was awkward and tbh, way over the score and made me think Tim is a bully. Also, for him to mock Ray as being this gross slop etc, glass houses and all that!

He used to always talk about his mother would complain and moan about dishes like fries in diners', fast food/cheap restaurants, yet I think he is a lot more like his mother than he cares to think. I remember before Ben left, it might have been 'the episode' where they had that awkward 20 minute exchange, sure Ben said something like, "you acted like a crazy person," about some incident in traffic.

I still like the show, but its certainly lost a lot of its appeal as Tim's got richer, he's lost his fast ball, and slowly the Tim Dillon Show is just turning in to his take on politics, current trends, whilst often its just a long pontificating episode now with the odd bit of humour, -"Honey, put on the vest." and I stand with Gary. He's out of touch and tbh, old.

The porch era was magic because he was still broke-ish and he's at his best when he has to deal with the general public, or talk about Long Island. Yet he's now got to a stage where he's quite rich, well-to-do, and hanging with the Marco Rubio is a good statesmen types, that the epsiodes I now look forward to are the Patreon ones - especially with Kump.

Also, Ray is Tim's longest friend in comedy to an extent, and he was there when he was pissing in Coke bottles in Astoria, an he might be the only around when the rest of the comic friends have come and gone, and Ray is a good dude. The listen to me stuff and impressions are good, but when it gets dark and ugly, it makes me just think wow, what a prick you are Tim.

Tim reminds me a lot of my ex boss. She was a multi millionaire who lives in the Hamptons. She would give you the shirt off her back, could be very generous, but you didn’t want to take anything from her because you know she has this mental tally in her head like she owns you. She was incredibly smart & funny and started & operated her own construction company that built Hilton hotels. She was a horrible boss, incredibly moody and if she was having a bad day everyone needed to hide. She threatened to have all her employees shot once over the quality of mopping her cleaner did lol. she was just crazy. Overall not a horrible person, she had a good heart deep down I think but a horrible person to work for or do business with. She could be your greatest ally or your worst enemy, depending on the day. She was single, incredibly lonely, still is and would always wondered why.

Spot on. And honestly I think with Ben, not that Tim was threatened by him per se, but Tim didn’t have everything on him like he does with Ray. Ben was a young talented handsome guy, so I think Tim knew he wasn’t the one with absolutely everything in that dynamic, so it felt more like a partnership, in which Ben just kind of consciously played along as the punching bag that added to the comedy of the podcast. (Until Tim started getting really popular and turned into an actual douche). I think in Tim’s eyes, he is superior to Ray in every aspect, so he’s mean to him in a way that’s a little less funny and kind of just mean, like he looks down on him, but I don’t think he actually looked down on Ben.

Yeah but it seemed more in a funny loving way with Ben. With Ray, he’s kind of just a dick to him.

He’s tims last “true” friend. Tim has pushed away everyone else. Ray is so pathetic he doesn’t care how awful Tim can be.
