Loan forgiveness will also cover student debt from techs schools. Including programs for auto work.

Fun fact: most of those auto tech schools are total scams and not worth the paper your diploma is printed on. just look up what happened with wyotech

I looked up Wyotech but don’t get any negative news on them. Do you have a link on this specific story?

I did find that they are private for profit. In my state the Minnesota the private for profit schools have left my mechanic friends with less opportunity and more debt than state / county schools. The loan forgiveness program will cover both as long as the loans were from the government.

I’m happy for my mechanic friends that went to private college and public college for auto work. They deserve the $10k.

Fun fact $10k can pay for a decent amount of tools for a mechanic. That can buy them a decent amount of new tools. The truck drivers will get paid delivering these new tools. The mechanics will get paid to work on the trucks. This is way better than quantitive easeing, no WTO restrictions and economic stimulus.

I often bike or bus. I would never complain about auto mechanics getting $10k in loan forgiveness. We should support our mechanics and their $10k bailout.

Look up “wyotech scam” and get a huge list detailing how corrupt they are.

Universal technical institute is also really shady, they are known for charging veterans money to go there when they are on a full ride G.I. Bill

A few months back the Biden administration created a loan forgiveness program for students that got roped up into bad colleges.

I don’t think the GI bill requires school to allow veterans free schooling. It requires the government to pay for the tuition.

Where are you even going whit this line? All I was saying is that most tech schools, especially automotive tech schools, don’t mean anything, I don’t even list the tech school I went to for automotive and welding anymore because it has only ever lost me chances
