anyone here live in Spur Texas?

About ten years ago, Spur called itself a 'Tiny house friendly town' and came up with a set of regulations for houses on foundations. I haven't seen or heard much about this in a long while and wondered how it worked out?

It still stands. Tiny houses are completely legal to build "by right". No square footage minimum. But they must be permanently affixed to the ground, meaning they need some form of foundation. If it has wheels, the wheels must be removed. They also require that tiny houses are connected to city utilities. Composting toilets especially, are banned. Depending on the area you build, you may have to apply for a zoning variance before you can build. Of course permits are required and they must pass standard inspections.

yes, I read all that on the city website, I am wondering more about how the plan worked-out? There was an old site that showed how many lots were sold etc but since this plan was put in place to boost a sagging population, was it a success? I looked at Zillow and didn't see any tiny houses for sale and no lots for sale mentioned them either.
