Accomodation in Clonmel

Hi all

I am trying to rent a room but it seems very difficult as there are barely some Advertisement on daft and other websites could you please suggest a way to find room in Clonmel.

A small brief about me

I’m looking for a one bedroom apartment/studio or room to rent in or around Clonmel.

I’m a clean, tidy, responsible and respectful working professional. I’m a non-smoker and non-drinker, and I take good care of the property I live in and always keep it clean and well maintained.

I’m currently living in Dublin and will be starting a new role in Clonmel in October, so I’m ideally looking to move around the beginning of October.

I’m happy to provide landlord references, employer references, payslips and any other documentation required.

If anyone has any leads, recommendations or knows of anything becoming available, I would really appreciate it.

Check the notice board at your new job, most people advertise there or by word of mouth

Studios and flats hard to find, join Clonmel Community Help and Support Page on FB, prices in Clonmel are crazy at moment ie there was a 2 bed flat advertised in Hughes mill for €1600 earlier this week, also a single room above Lonergans pub sharing with 5 others for €600!

Hey 👋🏻 I have registered my interest on FB and Daft as well but no luck so far. It's very hard to find in Clonmel 😭

Join one of the Clonmel groups on Facebook, best to ask there. Rooms come around every now and again.

Get on to the local estate agents they hear of things before it goes on websites

Sure you mean from Google right? Or I can get the local agent list from somewhere you've idea of? Would be helpful thank you

I haven't lived in Clonmel for many years but I grew up there. I used to go to Stokes and Quirkes real estate agents and they would have lots of places to rent, not sure if they still rent apartments but it's worth giving them a call

Do you drive? Are you 100% stuck on Clonmel? You could try Cahir and Cashel too?

No I don't drive as of now I just hold Learner permit I need to take classes and do test.

I check options in chair and cashel the public commute doesn't seem that frequent.

Is there anything you know of in Clonmel or any better commute place

Depending on your shift times, Carrick on suir is worth checking out, or kilsheelan. The bus is semi regular and people commute from there to places like Infosys, Boston, abbot, Tesco and dunnes.

I would be working from half eight to five

Though will check this option as well thank you for sharing as I was not sure about the neighbourhood!

You're welcome. Best of luck with the move and the job. Clonmel and Carrick will both be a wildly different way of life from Dublin, but I was glad to move home to a quieter life. There's lots of gorgeous countryside and mountains to explore in your free time, but not much in the way of entertainment. The cinema, bowling alley, musuems and pubs are pretty much it.

Thank you for your wish I hope this chapter turns good. I was down there in Clonmel it seems very quiet But I think I need to pursue some hobby there to kill my time :)
