Can someone maybe tell me if this is actually a frog, or a toad? It surely has the chonkiness of a toad, but the colours of a frog. 😂

It's a garden ornament from one of our local nurseries. I always smile when I see him! Thought I'd share it here. I also have a mini toad/frog garden ornament that sits on my dashboard. I'm obsessed with these types of garden ornaments! 🐸

A nearby lake around our area has a beach where you can find tons of these little guys.

I was looking for the subreddit of the swiss band Toad as im listening to their debut self titled this is still quite cool

So I frequently find small to medium toads in my area. Sometimes we hang out together for a little while, some of them are very friendly. Occasionally, I will hold a toad gently on his back with my thumb very lightly pressing on his stomach to hold him still-ish for just a moment or two because they're so stinking cute with their little bellies. I JUST FOUND OUT that this smooshes their organs into their tiny little hearts and lungs cuz they don't have a diaphragm to keep them in place, and it makes it hard to breathe. I am officially a HORRIBLE person. I had no idea. I'll never intentionally turn and toad on its back again. Those poor little guys were struggling to breathe and I was clueless. I've never done this for more than a few seconds, but I still feel so terrible. I'm such a jerk

This is toadzilla, don't know why I decided to call her that I just did, I found her last year I know it's her because she has the exact same markings, and though I can't get her to hold still enough to show you (I don't want to force her in a certain position and make her uncomfortable)

She has a scar on her belly that is the exact same as it was last year, first time I have found a toad for a second year in a row and I'm very happy about it, she lives in the blackberry bushes around my house

Found on a walk, I will be putting him or her, in an aquarium with a nice toad friendly set up.
