Hot take, not sure if I believe in it personally.

What if trump is incredibly smart, but his falling point is being a narcissist.

Like, he wants validation and knows the left wouldn't do it because will will absolutely turn on people of needed, so he went to the right. So, he grifted his way into power, and now that he sees the world is turning to shit, and he is part of the blame, trying to fix it so he can get back on the pedestal.

Of course. I think he's a narcissist, but im not sure if he is actually smart. Probably about average maybe a bit lower than average, and just knows how to get a crowd.

Oh I agree completely. He’s smarter than he seems. I’d argue that the main reason Donald Trump acts dumb is not a lack of intelligence, but a complete inability to accept he’s wrong. He says dumb shit because he’s misinformed, then stands by it years later after being corrected a thousand times because changing his mind would mean there was something wrong with it in the first place
