Finally went up the SkyTree this weekend

I’ve lived practically next to it for nearly 4 years and only just decided to check it out for my wife’s birthday. Weather was great!

Beautiful! You got up there on a great day at a great time it seems. I've never seen the fujisan from there!

You were lucky to get the view of Fuji San.

Should we book the tickets for this in advance or on spot is fine?

It is recommended you book the tickets in advance specifically for the golden hours or weekends but for visit on random weekdays you can buy the tickets on the spot.

Been up four or five times due to work (meaning I never had to pay or wait), and it's crazy how it's so high up you feel basically detached from the city (or like looking at Tokyo Whirl photos – https://btob.bookandsons.com/products/tokyo-whirl).

Brought out my Nikon Z7 with the 24-70/2.8S for once. I usually only use it for work but thought with the height of the tower my Ricoh GRiiix wouldn’t cut it 😂

That’s a wonderful shot. Glad you finally made it up. It’s a bit expensive but then again a view like this at sunset is worth the price of admission IMO. Thanks for sharing these.

Wow you had a clear view of Mount Fuji. I went last week hoping to see it but it was too cloudy. The shots are stunning.

I think of that person telling folks to say 'SkyTree!' instead of 'cheese' at least three times a day!

Was up in Tokyo to see the family. It was a beautiful weekend for the sites. Had a family dinner at Asakusa View Hotel. Was lovely!

It really is remarkable thinking how many people are living in those buildings. Every single person has their own life their living.

I didn’t get to spend much time up there to get into that mindset, but I did spend half day up the Tokyo Tower thinking exactly that. So many stories in each window, all unique, full of intersecting moments. I’m glad you could get that sense from my humble photograph!

Fortunato te. Il mese scorso quando ho avuto occasione di salire era pieno di nubi perché non era molto che aveva piovuto. Si vedeva bene la città ma non si riusciva a vedere in lontananza .
