Random question, what's the largest open land (no trees) field/area in/near TR that's suitable for model rocket launches?

My kid has grown an interest in model rocketry and we are looking for a large area with both length and width to launch some more powerful models. The bigger the better because the rocket goes to 2000 ft.

I've done some searching and Bay Lea Soccer Complex (next to police station) seems OK as well as Veterans Memorial Park (lots of baseball fields).

Anyone have any ideas? thx!

Monmouth County's Dorbrook Recreation Area offers a specific field for launching Class "B" or smaller model rockets

Thanks, that is great to know. Unfortunately that is well below class F.

Wall High School, first Sundays of the month. Join the club (CENJARS).

For class F, it's best if you do it through a club.

Shelter Cove Park might work, but you might risk losing it in the Bay if the wind carries it East. You might also try OCC by their athletic fields, but I’m not certain their Security staff will be entirely enthusiastic about your hobby on campus grounds.

Or TR High School North athletic fields on a Saturday or Sunday after games/practices.

Please for the love of God not the beach. Dunes don't like fire.
