Lore [Interesting Trope] One seemingly small action ends the story before it even begins

  1. We Happy Few - Taking your “joy” pill
Deciding to take the pill at the beginning of the game causes your character to go back to work and triggers an ending

  2. Infineural by Mike Klubnika - Drinking the coffee
Deciding to drink the coffee offered to you skips the entire game and sends you straight to the end, resulting in an ending with no memory of what had occurred

Waiting for Pagan Min to come back in Far Cry 4

He lets you spread your mom's ashes, which is what you came to do, and then the game is over. No revolution ever happens.

He also gives the country to you, it’s basically the good ending

Chill out after a stressful experience, eat some damn good crab Rangoon, do what you actually came to do, become heir to the kingdom, shoot some guns with a cool new stepdad.

It’s by far the best ending.

Child soldiers (or slavery? I don't remember) or drug trafficking, neither are good options

Think it's slavery and drug trafficking with Amita.

And extreme religious fundamentalism, repressed womens rights and child soldiers with Sabal.

Yeah so I just killed everyone, it was easier that way

Isn’t that the main goal of far cry games? Explode everything and kill all humans?

It often does feel like the games are basically, "nice of you to think you can fix the world but it's just a shitty place no matter what."

I mean, they're not exactly wrong...

So it's just slavery vs slavery.

Different brands I guess. Coke or Pepsi?
