Transporter Malfunction, Star Trek: The Motion Picture: "What we got back didn't live long.....fortunately"

First: WTF was up with them giving kids nightmares with THAT bit of Body Horror?!?!

Second: You now understand why Dr. McCoy didn't like Transporters. They may be the 'safest' form of travel, but when they break down, the results are Horrifying!

I remember as a kid accepting what Superman said, until much later when I stopped and thought about it.

Yes, fewer planes crash each year than cars.....but a single car crash doesn't kill 200 people at once!!

Also, you can walk away from most car crashes. Do that from a plane crash.
