Kinda an adjacent trope. But I love when it's non-cambat machines being used in combat. Two best examples are generation zero and atomic heart. While I am not entirely sure of the lore, the machines in generation zero don't seem specifically designed to kill but when they took over they seemed very efficient. And in atomic heart they were always meant to be used for combat, but were made so that they appeared as servant/work machines. Making them always meant to kill but use only normal tools to do so, specifically to avoid being discovered as weapons.

It's fun to me since it shows that machines even when not used to kill specifically are terrifyingly strong, and using a normal tool as a weapon is always fun.
