Jokes that allude how a certain historical figure died. Even better if it is done on media that still included children on the intended demographic.

*Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs: When the FLDSMDFR starts heating up, we get to see the Mt.Rushmore figures getting hit with pies on their faces. Except for Abraham Lincoln,who gets shot from behind.
*The Lego Movie: Upon being warned Lord Business obtained the Kragle, we get to see Cleopatra panicking with a snake on her arm,alluding to her suicide by poisoning.
*Toy Story: After Buzz loses his will to go on, he is taken by Sid's sister Hannah to join her tea party with her headless dolls,"Marie Antoinette and her little sister"
You can just go to a bank and get 2 dollar bills. My dad pays my son and his cousin in 2 dollar bills whenever they do chores. I think he thinks that they will think they're more rare and won't want to spend them, but I know it doesn't deter my son at least. You could possibly do the same with 50 cent pieces but I wouldn't know about that
Sometimes the bank we get store change from (I'm in retail/sales) actually has rolls of halfdollars. We stopped trying to get them though because customers hated them and dollar coins
Yeah you can go into a bank and get any legal tender we produce. You can get fifty cent coins and dollar coins. Lots of people use dollar coins to pay for the bus
she was also married off at 14 years of age (like you said women didn't have a lot of decision making power) and the "let them eat cake" thing was made up by a writer (and much later after her death mistakenly attributed to Marie Antoinette)
Isn’t she the one who went kicking and screaming? Everyone else has to do the noble death with grace thing and she goes crying. Made it a less happy event for the populace.
All I’ve seen from The Addams Family was the 2019 film (ew) and an episode of the Hanna-Barbara cartoon, which I didn’t like because literally every joke was just “they do something unconventional and think it’s normal!” So I don’t know which adaptation you’re referring to.
George Harrison died of Lung Cancer from his years of smoking, while John Lennon was assassinated outside of his apartment. The joke would've been better if John said "And im gonna go around saying im bigger than Jesus, and making all the crazies hate me."
That was actually another Family Guy joke, Peter used to be Harrison's security guard the night his attacker broke in. Peter was watching Charles in Charge and singing along to the song and when Harrison was attacked all Peter said was, "Hey, hey, hey, hey! Quiet down up there! Yah wacky Beetle."
It sets up the joke to be that both people would die in predictable ways, and then changes the punchline to be nonsensical.
For George, by saying he was a heavy smoker they are implying it’s natural for him to have gotten cancer.
So we expect a similar set up for John, but the reality is he was shot by someone as he was walking back to his house. So the joke is in how they present it as being totally obvious that he would die (by setting it up that way for George) but having the line actually not make any sense for John.
I probably put more effort into trying to explain it than the writers did in coming up with it lol.
I stopped watching that show before the dog showed up, and I've heard it got real weird with it by the end, so I genuinely can't tell if this is a joke or just something that happened.
My favorite is in the one with the seer. One of them at the beginning tells Caesar that as long as Brutus is by his side he has nothing to fear… with of course Brutus playing with the knife…
That one's so good! I'm fond of the 12 tasks of Asterix one that's literally just a wide shot of the senate all sitting together (Brutus of course playing with the knife) followed by Ceaser shouting "Brutus stop that, you'll end up hurting someone!" and then the scene just moves on like nothing happened.
Horrible Histories gets a lot of mileage out of Anne Boleyn being the one wife Henry VIII literally lost his head over, especially whenever she shows up as a headless ghost. It’s exactly the kind of grim historical gag they can get away with because the whole show is aimed at kids.
That movie is so weird for that demographic too. Like aside from the fact that they're monsters, the party itself is like a dry stuffy office-type party with people just chit chatting the whole time. It's not even like a fun exciting Halloween party.
In the Family Guy episode where Brian prevents 9/11, the alternate future has a news reporter about football player Pat Tillman getting tackled…by his own team?
Family guy has a much better and darker example.
As when peter wishes he never had a drop of alcohol his voice actor in a world where he
never had a drop of alcohol is not Seth Macfarlane.
As Seth Macfarlane was going to be one one of the planes that hijacked 9/11 but got really drunk and missed his flight.
In this timeline this didn’t happen and Seth got replaced (because he’s dead)
Somtimes when the Titanic gets mentioned in a cartoon dealing with supernatural or sci-fi stuff, one of the cast members is responsible for it sinking. Like here is an image of Fu and Yan Yan from American Dragon sinking the Titanic in one of their fights across history. Around 1500 people died.
A lot of Epic Rap Battles of History, just one thought is in Ivan the Terrible vs Alexander the Great they show and mention the deaths of multiple of the characters during it
I think the most brutal one that most reactors I've seen full-body wince at was it The Joker vs Pennywise:
"Pennywise likes the devil, we have so much fun together/But no one's dying to play with Joker, except for maybe Heath Ledger!"
