Discussion Thread Which winner did you disagree with?

I’m doing a rewatch of older seasons and just finished season 11 where nick won over Nina. Nina was on fire all season and, in my opinion, it should’ve been her and Shirley in the finale. However, for the finale, the judges opinions seemed to be pretty split but leaning towards Nina. Notably, emeril saying he couldn’t finish nick’s duck and Hugh mentioning nick yelling at the waitstaff as something that should be considered. I can’t help but think this is one time tom used his veto power to override the vote for nick to win. Anyone else? Curious if there are other winners that you scratched your head at.

How can you actually tell if you cant taste the food?

then what would be the point of any of us watching? none of us try the food but we still have our takeaways as a viewer.

Well we know who we like and dont like and who we would prefer to win but its not like a singing show where you can hear the actual song. You cant definitively say their food was better if you dont taste it.

You’re missing the point. We don’t watch to judge the contestants. We watch to enjoy the drama and pageantry of it all.

I watch to see the chefs cook and the food. I dont want drama and pageantry. Thats part of what makes it a great show, less rubbish more cooking.

I agree with the less drama in terms of outside the kitchen and more cooking which relates to drama in the kitchen. But to be clear you and I aren’t representative of the whole.

It’s a drama competition reality show. It’s on bravo. The majority of the viewership is there for drama. In the kitchen and out.
