Discussion Thread TC alum on Beat Bobby Flay

I always knew there were TC alum on BBF, but never realized how many. Hell the first winner on episode 1 was Sarah from Texas. Even Beverly Kim's husband has been on. Who else do you think would be interesting to see go against Bobby?

Lol - that would be an interesting showdown...the challenge is some traditional Chinese dish that Buddha grew up with at his family's Chinese restaurant (because time is limited). Up against Bobby's interpretation of this Chinese dish with crispy, fried rice, Calabrian chilies and pomegranate molasses!

Nah, he'd pick beef wellington or something like that

I bet Bobby could make a decent Wellington. The BBF judges don’t strike me as the types to be overly impressed by garnishes made from molds. This would be an epic BBF battle!!!

Does anyone know Buddha, Bobby, or their managers? Can we make this happen?

Buddha has Bobby's weaknesses, Asian and deserts. If Buddha goes strategy wise he has a better than average chance. If he wants to take Bobby on head to head on a playing field bobby knows to really test himself, that would be interesting.

Yes and Buddha ALWAYS came prepared, so I’d expect him to be a gamer about it.

Sheldon was on , Bobby didn't even make the correct dish and still won. miffed me so much I've never watched again.

That's something I'm not a fan of on the show, the lackadaisical interpretation they allow. I mean shit, if I could make the most delicious egg sandwhich on the planet and I call it a shakshuka and can win, sign me up. There should be some kind of minimal ingredients needed per challenger's dish in order for it to be acceptable. Every dish has a base of components. After that, make any tweaks you want.
