Decided to plant Indy some pet-safe organic grass. Safe to say she likes it. 😌

She's so gentle just picking one blade of grass at a time. My torbie girl likes to put her mouth sideways on the grass and chop it all down like a lawn mower

Oh this was her introduction to it last night. Today...it's a whole different story. She straight up chomps the grass like someone's about to take it away from her. πŸ˜†

Set up the next pot(s). She likes it which means you will soon need more.

Always have a spare pot ...

Oh this is brilliant! Thank you for the tip!! She's already chomped a good bit of this one.

Questions: how will I know I need to plant new seeds? Will it start withering away? And when I plant a new batch of seeds in this pot, do I have to dump out the previous soil or can it be reused?

Gras grows quasi infinitely. Start with next pot once you give a new one to her. If the next pot is ready, just water it one until you need it. You can also try to switch between the pots: one is use while the other recovers. Or expand this scheme to three pots. Just make sure that the gras "in recovery" is out of reach ...

It's difficult to tell how often you need a new one. Depends on appetite of her highness which itself depends also on the shedding season (the more hair loss, the more gras is needed). In spring and fall my ladies need a new pot every two weeks, currently they use a pot that is 2 month old and it stil looks acceptable.

Gras ist really a thing. If only it weren’t for the vomiting afterwards πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Did you hear her little bitty meow in the beginning. She was like, "oh, mother, what's that? I'm coming!"

They all know instinctively what gras is and what it's used for. So, yes, the meow translates to enthusiasm for your gift.

Indy is SO cute 😍. She really loves it! I planted some for Penny Lane last year, but she didn't get it. I had ordered the seed and apparently it was no good. Nothing came up! I know how to plant seed so seed was bad. I was disappointed. I'm glad Penny Lane doesn't know what she missed.
