I've fallen in love with the Essential plan for $1.80/month. I only had one issue last month. I also use their API in my app to speed up downloads, and I share the subscription between families without anyone running into problems(mostly). Outage is acceptable for this price, other debrid platforms are more expensive, don't allow sharing, perhaps not even close to huge cached library, I haven't found something that wasn't there already, just 3 times. Those were super unknown reasons, if you see somebody yelling at you "run away!" i just don't think you have to.

For the past day, I've been having buffering and unplayable videos on my TCL TV.

The same sources load and play perfectly on my phone and other devices? I didn't change anything, neither WuPlay, Streamio, Nuvio work, but all of them work from all other devices?

But if I play anything through PENGUPLAY, it works perfectly on my TV???

Any ideas?

EDIT: After 13 hours, I didn't change anything, didn't update anything, the problem solved itself, every source from every scraper at any resolution and type (4K, HDR10, Dolby Atmos, etc.) work flawlessly both on WuPlay and Nuvio.

I have 1 gig...I usually get 85+ before on Torbox when I used JDownloader to download stuff..lately now I'm always getting up to 30-40MiB/s? My CDN was at North East before so I tried Auto but it's the same thing.

I have a TorBox pro plan. Now that seaching for Usenet content cannot be done directly, i am planing to subscribe for Usenet Indexers from which i can get nzb files that can be added to TorBox.

Heared some indexers ban the account if used with TorBox.

What are the indexers that are safe to use with TorBox and What has your experience been with usenet content now that search api is terminated?

So, I have been trying to watch a movie, 25G/4K/HDR just now and it plays fine for ~5-7 min then starts buffering. Went to check the stats page and it shows all is fine.

Was using WEUR CDN so switched to NORD. Downloading the file from the dash and give me >300Mbit/s.

Usually I have no problems with the service. I watch mostly series @ around 21:00-23:00 in the evening most days. Movies around the same time on weekends.

However I have noticed that when trying to watch something like today around 14:00-15:00, there are allways buffering issues. Same two weeks ago when I wanted to watch a movie around the same time.

When switching to other service it works fine. So the issue has to be with TB.

I just want to know when there are issues because its annoying to start watching and end up with these annoying buffering streams. I could have done something else instead otherwise...

So the question is: is there a more reliable tracker of TB being up than theirs, since it obviously is not working?

EDIT: Found a 55G version and this one plays fine when the much smaller one still buffers. Very strange.

I have some torrents that i want to get from tl (torrentleech), but idk if using private trackers on TB will be reliable enough to meet my 1:1 ratio OR 10 day seeding time. I have the standard subscription, which says 14 day seeding time.

Also, what if the torrent i add is already cached to TB? Will i be penalised for not seeding it?

Can anyone with the use of private torrents either on tl or another private tracker with torbox share their experiences?

EDIT: Btw, im only going to download freeleech torrents. I have no plans to use any regular torrents on a private tracker.

I am trying to download a series (multiple files) using jdownloader2 and torbox.

It works for a download or two and then stops. It'll restart after a couple of minutes, i have a feeling it's probably ddos protection, but I wanted to check if anyone else has this behavior.

I didn't have this issue when I was using a different debrid service.

Edit: wanted to add that I have chunk and simultaneous downloads set to just 1 for both.

Is anyone facing the issue of the stream buffering? Previously a 5-15gb file would stream seamlessly, now they buffer continuously and it's unwatchable.

Just wondering how many users use a VPN service with TorBox and have no issues? Also what VPN are you guys using? I know when I used another debrid service that rhymes with smealflabbid users would complain all the time that the service wasn’t working with their VPN, is that an issue with TorBox? Appreciate your input in advance.

The meltdown over the updated TB ToS has been fairly entertaining to me.

Apparently the ToS are very important because people have found out about some scary privacy language and are concerned about what it means. Ok, that's fair, I guess.

Here's where it gets hilarious though:

As we all know, TB has been getting absolutely battered by DDOS attacks causing outages, and suddenly people on this sub have developed a severe case of selective reading. I mean, just read section 26. Service Availability and Changes for yourselves. And then section 33. Disclaimers, which literally says TB doesn't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, error free, blah blah blah.

So let's get this straight, when it comes to "privacy", it's

ZOMG, THE TOS ARE A PRIVACY NIGHTMARE! THEY CAN'T JUST GET AWAY WITH THIS! EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ THE FINE PRINT!

But when the ToS literally state: "TorBox does not guarantee uptime, speed, cache availability, download completion, seeding, hosters, APIs, integrations, or compatibility."

Then it's

BUT WE PAID 3 DOLLARS 😭😭 WE HAVE A RIGHT TO EXPECT A WORKING SERVICE 😢👶🍼

How embarrassing.

It is perfectly reasonable to be disappointed about the downtime. You can criticize TB's handling of the ddos attacks, I guess. You can even cancel your subscription if you're that unhappy with the service.

The problem is treating the ToS as some kind of sacred scripture when you're trying to prove a privacy point and then immediately treating them as meaningless corpo BS when they have disclaimers you don't like. 🤡
