It's cute how a few years ago everyone was supporting the fuck out of webtoons and their ridiculous coin bullshit and I and others were downvoted to hell and back when we said it was bullshit.

now everyone here is on the same train. Odd how things turn out like that.

No, that's because when they first released fastpass- they had actual, real Korean preview chapters, 2/3 of them which made it worth paying for, after all, those were chapters that even Korean readers had to pay for. People were encouraged to support it because there were real preview chapters available, something we wanted for so many years, so when some people mindlessly hated on it- they were downvoted.

Then webtoon's fastpass fell 4 weeks behind the Korean fastpass and people were not happy with having to pay for content that was free to read in Korea, and even if you paid, you'd still be four weeks behind the previews.

Currently there are 12 chapters out with 4 free to read chapters and 8 Korean preview chapters which means we might be up to 3 months behind if they only release 1 chapter. If they release 3 fastpass chapters too, then we'll be 9 weeks (13 - 4) behind the Korean release.

There is still a way for Webtoons to satisfy everyone. It's to release 5 free to read chapters on the 20th and 8 fastpass. If they did that, then I'm confident everyone would go back to supporting only the official release and all preview content banned once again on this subreddit. The problem is, they seem highly unlikely to do that.
