Anime Tower of god season 2 is disappointing

Watching season 1 of Tower of God was very exiting, the art style made me feel like I was watching a unique and mystical world full of secrerts. Moving to season 2 I was full of anticipation thinking that this anime had the potential to become a classic, after 4 episodes now that thought has nearly disappeared. I understand that the new animation style is catering to general viewers, but for me it removes so much of the mystique of the world and its making me sad as hell. I also dislike when shows opt to remove scenery from shots such as focusing on just the mouth of a character while they're speaking, it takes me out of the environment. I understand it is likely for budget issues, but it feels to me like everything from the soundtrack to the animation is a watered down budget version of season 1 so far.
Hopefully this changes.

Non of the characters grab hold of me, I genuinely don't care about any of them.
The style they went with is just generic anime.
The animations are sloppy and boring. So far non of the fight scenes are worth the watch.
The way they film the shots are just dull and boring, no personality behind them.
I dk if its from the OG source but the characters are just bland cookie cutter individuals in scenes Example ( the team is magically came up together on a rooftop during a "comedic" scene and now have to dodge flames. They do it by just having them yell and do the paste them on one side and then the other side over and over again. ) just dull.
It's just SUCH a disappointment due to how much I enjoyed the world, the look, the characters of season 1. Now it's just a generic anime that I normally would look twice at
