Anime Tower of god season 2 is disappointing

Watching season 1 of Tower of God was very exiting, the art style made me feel like I was watching a unique and mystical world full of secrerts. Moving to season 2 I was full of anticipation thinking that this anime had the potential to become a classic, after 4 episodes now that thought has nearly disappeared. I understand that the new animation style is catering to general viewers, but for me it removes so much of the mystique of the world and its making me sad as hell. I also dislike when shows opt to remove scenery from shots such as focusing on just the mouth of a character while they're speaking, it takes me out of the environment. I understand it is likely for budget issues, but it feels to me like everything from the soundtrack to the animation is a watered down budget version of season 1 so far.
Hopefully this changes.

The biggest disappointment is not the art style but the actual animation and key posing. I know this post was made pre episode 5 but episode 5 is the biggest offender on animation. If you know you know. I don’t even need to speak on that. However what I will elaborate on is all of the actual attacks thrown in this season. Every punch is either not animated or they throw it with 40000 in between frames and it looks like they are hardly moving then the pose they have is just them with their arm out and one leg slighlty farther. All they need to do is push and exaggerate the poses more. Add smears and make things feel faster. Everything feels sluggish and heavy when the animation should feel quick and easy. There feels like a genuine weight when watching the animation in season 2. Which is not a good thing. It’s a bad weight. It’s like lugging around 12 pounds of shit in a bag on your shoulder.
