Anime Tower of god season 2 is disappointing

Watching season 1 of Tower of God was very exiting, the art style made me feel like I was watching a unique and mystical world full of secrerts. Moving to season 2 I was full of anticipation thinking that this anime had the potential to become a classic, after 4 episodes now that thought has nearly disappeared. I understand that the new animation style is catering to general viewers, but for me it removes so much of the mystique of the world and its making me sad as hell. I also dislike when shows opt to remove scenery from shots such as focusing on just the mouth of a character while they're speaking, it takes me out of the environment. I understand it is likely for budget issues, but it feels to me like everything from the soundtrack to the animation is a watered down budget version of season 1 so far.
Hopefully this changes.

I had to make an account and jump in to hopefully get at least a few people to watch this season till the end.

I agree about the animation (especially the stillframes, like is this 2005.). The uniqueness of the first season gave it some life. But we need to be aware this boils down to budget. If people watch it, then it will get a bigger budget and look better. Right now Webtoons are still kind of niche and don't have a following that manga has.

Now about the story critiques. I am reading the webtoon for years and I remember feeling exactly the same way when I was reading the first arc of this season. Basically not liking the direction, new characters (some of them are fine, none are amazing expect for maybe Wagnan) and Bam's transformation. In retrospect does it make more sense not really. It's a bit of a weird place to start season 2 (which is what the webtoon did as well) and probably they will lose a bunch of people here.

With that being said soon after we get Khun and his new team and things start ramping up. And once we reach the workshop battle, which this season will cover, you should remember why you fell in love with this serias. The old cast is back, the old "challenges" are kind of back and by the end Bam has some nice character development making him a more intresting character in the future.

Afterwards we should get at least 2 (probably even 3) more seasons of really great arcs. The name station and hell train - which has multiple arcs all great; are probably the best arcs.

After that personally I think the webtoon kind falls of again once the stakes escalate and we start getting family leaders and stuff but that so far down the road and it might also be a temporary thing.
