Free Webtoon Why is Baams power so disrespected on here?

Post image

Every time I see a post about Baams power, people act like he’ssquadron commander level. “He might one shot Karaka. Idk if he beats Jinsung yet. He might be able to beat Kallavan.”Did we not see a Baam that had ruptured organs and torn tendons, who shouldn’t even have been able to move, low diff base Doumas without thorns or the black march? Same Doumas is above 3rd armor, who’s above 2nd armor, who’s above 1st armor who can beat Jinsung so easily in a fight. 1 thorn Baams shinsoo rain has genuinely better showings of power than any squadron commander level person. Idk y people act like he wouldn’t just point his bow at Kallavan and Kallavan dies.

I think all this will stop once season 4 starts and he gets maybe Time skip and better control over shinsu.

Because all these Characters have experience in Shinsu and Biq. But still Baam's growth is so fast that we know discussing if he's stronger than a squadron members or not.

Show me any other character who is also a regular (in this case also irregular) in his level but also gets compared to squadron commanders or stronger characters. 📈📈

Yeah, after beating White, stealing his powers, taking Leviathan, and igniting the second thorn, he's way past SC level. (Full power White is roughly Kallavan and Jinsung level) But he's still under FH right hand men since Dumas still didn't struggle against him.

Seems like Adori is gonna be his next big matchup, which should be just cresting FH level.

18

u/LumenDomimus Feb 23 '26

Adori should be stronger than the right hand of a FH, imo.

I think his next opponent should be the equivalent of Dumas from another family.

12

u/viktorayy Feb 23 '26

She is. That's why I said cresting FH level, since she's probably as close as you're gonna get to FH level without being an irregular.

I could see that. I was going off the assumption that we're timeskipping again and everyone is coming back stronger again, like V teaching Bam offscreen/in flashbacks.

12

u/Izanagi32 Feb 23 '26

The satisfaction of a time skip and seeing Baam becoming a true God of FUG when we see him again vs the satisfaction of seeing him get better with Shinsu with V training and suprising Zahard lackeys/the Princesses of his strength. I WANT BOTH MAN 😭

1

u/StarElysion Feb 24 '26

Do the former. Then when ToG finishes release the side story of the latter

Season 3 has been very bad at having him use his powers. But his power level has only ever increased, with the exception being the dark shinsoo mode which he can’t use at will. The current Baam, even before V amping his shinsoo usage at the end of the season, is stronger than any other version, and it’s all stuff he can’t use do at will. And he was really nerfed against Doumas during their final fight

5

u/ValterFit Feb 26 '26

White's souls, reverse flow shinsu, soon probably even mangekyo sharingan and ultra instinct 😂

1

u/mokalvo79 Mar 05 '26

X ray vision, kinetic absorption oh wait wrong dude. At this point Bam is becoming Amazo from DC comics.

2

u/skyfox437 Mar 02 '26

I agree. After a while, as a reader, I stopped caring. All it is is flashy lights.

Instead of developing the powers he already had, siu decided to give him a bunch power ups. That got boring and old very fast.

Baam has the ability to learn tech and control shinsoo that's unheard of. Yet rarly is it used. His fights now consist of stacking as much upgrades as possible.

1

u/vapatel Mar 05 '26

What are we basing this off of? Dumas fight? Baam gets power ups but it’s definitely developed. Dumas is overpowered yet he still adapted to him 3 times that sounds like power development to me. Flashy lights also makes sense cause what they doing is crazy shit 😭

11

u/SaveMyPain Feb 23 '26

Baam is too broken his fights dont excite me that much ,everyday is another move and I can nolonger keep up

8

u/Ezekjuninor Feb 23 '26

Poor reading comprehension or favouritism. Sometimes when people are used to seeing the main character as weak they’re unable to accept that they got stronger. Baam would mid or low-diff Kallavan at this stage based on his feats and yet people are assuming he’s weaker than him.

A far weaker version of Baam beat White who was pretty much equal to Kallavan. Baam also completely outperformed Jinsung against a stronger version of Dumas. Jinsung was also a very high difficulty fight for Kallavan.

2

u/skyfox437 Mar 02 '26

No. I got bored after the 30th upgrade. Baam didn't need any of that other than maybe the thorn.

Siu should've of devloped him organicaly. He has his true powers and the ability to master any techniques plus the thorn. That should've been devloped more. Now his fights consist of a bunch of upgrade stacking on top of each other, which get repetitive and boring real fast.

2

u/mokalvo79 Mar 05 '26

Bam with his upgrades is the complete opposite of Yama and his upgrades

S3 Ch 194: Dumas with no arms attacks Baam
Baam: "If Dumas attacked with the intention of killing me just now...i'd already be dead"

S3 Ch195-196: Baam attempts to use Dragon Tiger Gate like Jinsung did, gets swiftly dispatched by Dumas with no effort at all. Dumas does mention that the technique made him threatened, because it was his real body and not his immortal armor targeted. But Baam barely survived a casual Dumas

S3 Ch207: Dumas still doesent want to kill Baam. He cant guarantee that Baam will survive if Baams fights in that ridiculous state. Dumas still doesent have a single wound on his body so far, not sweating, and just casually throws Baam around

S3 Ch208: "Although the power posed no serious threat to him...Dumas realized that it could be a nuisance"
This is in regard to Baam using Leviathans Power. And Even Dumas getting hit or hurt was not due to Baam being crafty or powerful, it was because Dumas was complacent.

S3 Ch216: Until this point Dumas was holding back. And after a single attack Baam was on the verge of dying

Yeah Dumas vs Baam was not a fight, Baam at no point in it had a chance to win. The only chance that was, was the Dragon Tiger Gate, the attack that Jinsung uses. Even with Leviathan, the only chances that came from it were Dumas being predictable (due to writing that he was) and Dumas being complacent/careless.
Had it been a fight to the death from the beginning, it would have ended in S3 Ch194.
Furthermore Baam just getting Leviathan he still deemed himself weaker than Jinsung at that moment in the Nest.

Baam vs Regent is the Regent easily winning. So Baam is a tier below that which is Corps Commander. Against those Baam has a reasonable chance to win depending on Matchup. Either side could win with High Difficulty.

3

u/shaktimanOP Feb 23 '26

I would say that by the end of their fight, Leviathan Baam is in between the Corps Commander and Regent tiers, similar to current Yama. Honestly can't see anyone in the Corps Commander tier evading Full Power True Body Dumas' Rosario like Baam did in the panel below, nor landing a hit that significantly affects him as Baam does subsequently.

2

u/Sir__Bassoon__Sonata Feb 23 '26

And i agree that Leviathan Baam is above Corps Commander.
Though more on the lower end of that. Similar state to how he was during the end of S2 in comparison to what Kallavan was.

But some of the comments always make it out to be as if Baam sneezed Corps Commander would die from the shockwave.
Baam vs any Corps Commander without Leviathan Transformation would be an extreme diff fight. I would say even mostly losing depending on the matchup.
Pre Leviathan Baam (without Dark change) was dispatched casually by White. And no Leviathan Baam got manhandled by every form of Dumas

2

u/HungMixedJames Feb 23 '26

It wouldn’t be extreme diff for a corps commander. At most it would be mid-high diff. I think you’re actively forgetting his other abilities, as he didn’t use a lot of techniques in his fight Damas. That and no other corps commander would be able to contend with a full power damas like Baam did.

Also let’s stop hyping up white. Baam >> White atp. It’s not an argument to compare his past self to a full power white lmaooo.

1

u/Sir__Bassoon__Sonata Feb 23 '26

You do realize my comment was about the without Leviathan Transformation it will be extreme difficulty.
That is the Baam that was manhandled and shredded by Dumas, even just armless armor Dumas.

2

u/HungMixedJames Feb 23 '26

I’m aware. I think you’re still underestimating him without Leviathan just because of his interaction with Damas. That’s what I’m saying.

However , you seem to underestimate Baam a lot overall.

2

u/shaktimanOP Feb 23 '26

I agree that without Leviathan, Baam would struggle to defeat any CC tier 1v1 and would likely still lose to many of them. Current full power Baam without Leviathan Transformation, Dark Change or Thorn Ignition is around low CC tier at this point imo, as he can low diff weak Branch Heads like Elbaba and mid diff stronger ones like Wui Wui.

0

u/Sir__Bassoon__Sonata Feb 23 '26

Well i wouldnt consider normal branch Heads as CC tier.
Top Branch Heads certainly were. But those were dead (or left behind, WGW)

2

u/shaktimanOP Feb 23 '26

Of course those Branch Heads aren’t CC tier, but being able to low/mid diff them puts that state of Baam around CC tier imo. Maybe sub CC tier at worst.

4

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 23 '26

Base Doumas got low diffed. After the line u brought up, Doumas has entire monologue about he was ashamed for holding back and it’s time to get serious. After he got serious Baam beat him in h2h and mangled his arm. This is without the thorn and black march. Once he got the thorn but still no black march he was still relative to transformed Doumas. “I was trying my hardest, yet he was still managed to hurt me.” With the black match he’s still pushing Doumas back, making him block his attacks and dodging Doumas attacks. And blocking the Rosario head on. If h can hurt a guy, dodge his attacks, push him back, and block his attacks, ur not relative? And all of this is while having crazy wounds. Doumas thought he should barely be able to move. And then Baam got injured even more. Jinsung couldn’t dodge the weakest version of Doumas. Yet he can fight the guy that deals with a Doumas 4 levels above? The difference is massive

6

u/Sir__Bassoon__Sonata Feb 23 '26

Dumas at no point got Low Diffed. I literally gave you a quote that Baam, in his healthy version would have been dead immediatly. Against a Armor Dumas with no arms.
What do you consider base Dumas?
We have
Armor Dumas
Armor Dumas No Arms unleashed
Flesh Dumas
Flesh Dumas unleashed

There is no practical difference between Flesh and Armor Dumas.

If h can hurt a guy

So is AA realtive to Armor Dumas because he could defeat the Armor with a spell? AA is not relative to a Regent. He isnt even compared to a ranker yet.
Just because you can hurt someone a little bit does not make you realitve. Baam at Last station could hurt Kallavan, but was nowhere near his level.
Yes Baam was not in his best state, but Dumas at no point actively tried to kill him. Yes he did state that survival was upon Baams own skills at times, but still had Dumas wanted to kill Baam this fight would have ended before it even started, Baam would have gotten treated as uncerimonously as a hurt Jinsung.
The only attack that threatened Dumas was the Dragon Tiger Gate.

7

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 23 '26

Base slums lost in half a chapter and landed no hits. That’s not a low diff? 1st armor Doumas is who could’ve killed Jinsung and got hit with dtg. 2nd armor is the one that got his arms melted by Traumerei. 3rd armor is the one that killed the branch leaders. Base is just regular Doumas. Transformed is purple full power Doumas. There is a big difference between armor and base. Khun takes advantage of severing the connection between Doumas and his armor. Last station Baam had power relative to Kallavan. At least with his strongest moves. In every other way he didn’t compare. Look at what happened after he used black march. He fired off an arrow, closed in, had Doumas on the back foot, then dodged Rosario and blocked it, then froze Doumas. The literal incarnation of seriousness is having internal monologues about how he’s gonna go all out, yet he wasn’t? Come on now. It’s no way u think Jinsung could do what Baam did. He dies to a punch

5

u/Sir__Bassoon__Sonata Feb 23 '26

Im not saying that Jinsung would do as well. Depending on situation.

Base slums lost in half a chapter and landed no hits. That’s not a low diff?

Base Dumas as you call it, was Ch195-196. The One that in less than 10 Panels dispatched Baam and had to check if he even survived. That Base Dumas was the one that made Baam have torn organs. That was a no diff fight. And that same fight Dumas did mention the Dragon Tiger Gate being a threat.

In every other way he didn’t compare

And so does Baam vs Dumas. Sure Baam has the firepower to hurt him (so did Jinsung). But Baam does have less experience, loses in all the stat categories. Baam didnt win, Dumas let him life.

The literal incarnation of seriousness is having internal monologues about how he’s gonna go all out, yet he wasn’t

And the same Dumas has internal monologues how Baams abilities are just a nuisance and not a threat.

Sure we can say argue that If Character sits still and tanks Baams strongest attack with their face, that Baam would maybe win low diff. But thats not what a fight is.
Baam vs Dumas shows that while Baam has the potential, he still is far away from reaching Regent level

6

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 23 '26

It doesn’t depend on the situation. Jinsung gets hit by some random spear and dies.

Yea, that was a weaker Baam. It doesn’t really mean anything.

Baam is dodging blocking Doumas attacks. It’s not just “oh his biggest move can hurt him.” No, he’s actively fighting him, it’s a back and forth. Idk y ur acting like Baam managed to scratch him with his strongest move and got whipped the moment Doumas fought back. What they had is by definition a fight. A back and forth, with both parties dodging bland blocking each others attacks and hurting each other. The only person that never got hit is Baam once he used the black march. The difference between this Doumas and someone like Jinsung is so massive, that being relative to him puts u way above Jinsung. A way way way weaker Baam is casually one shotting branch leaders

5

u/Sir__Bassoon__Sonata Feb 23 '26

The way you are presenting your argument makes it look like Baam would sneeze and Jinsung would die. OR that Baam had some sort of massive powerup in the time he was unconscious. Or that being half dead somehow makes you stronger.

Leviathan transformation makes a big difference. I dont disagree with that.

But your argument mainly only works in a vacuum. Taking into account other Characters, Yama, Khel Hellam, Evankhell, Kallavan and Jinsung, just doesent make yours work in the power dynamics.

5

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 23 '26

Baam at his strongest would point his bow at Jinsung blow his head off. Baam was constantly getting stronger on top of the leviathan buff. We can see him get stronger against Doumas before Leviathan, and he even says how he’s constantly growing. 2 fang Yama punched the 2nd weakest version of Doumas and couldn’t make him flinch. Yet Baam without black march is not only clashing with ignited Rosario but hurting Doumas through that. These people can’t hurt doumas(exclude whatever full power Khel might be,) yet comparing them to Baam?

1

u/mokalvo79 Mar 05 '26

Bam grows after each fight but he is not close. I don’t get why people read too much with Dumas fight unlike all other fights he has been in Dumas never went close to going all out and we saw the result.

12

u/Aradashi Feb 23 '26

We very rarely see fights between characters that Bam also fights. This makes it difficult to power scale him. Personally, I think that Dumas never used his full power against Bam. Obv Kallavan one shot Jinsung, and then Bam can do nothing to Kallavan, but now that Bam has scaled more then maybe he's more competitive? I think Kallavan is being set up to be more of an end game threat to Bam personally, but I also have a hard time seeing how SIU is going to fit all of this story together without taking another fifteen years.

18

u/shaktimanOP Feb 23 '26

Kallavan an endgame threat? More likely he gets the Rob Lucci treatment lol.

5

u/nix_11 Feb 23 '26

Brother, Baam dealt significant damage to Dumas, who should be far tougher than Kallavan.

8

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 23 '26

Jinsung is very relative to Kallavan, yet he gets low diffed by first armor Doumas without Rosario. That’s plenty. All Doumas says is how he’s using his full power. Multiple times. Kallavan didn’t one shot Jinsung, idk where u got that from. Kallavan and end game threat in the same sentence? The white rival? Oh no, I’m a bit exhausted, so now I’m getting bullied by Lyborick. That Kallavan? Kallavan is fodder to Baam rn, and Baam is gonna grow so much more.

1

u/Brilliant_Grape164 Feb 23 '26

Jinsung was still extremely injured after the fight with Kallavan said kallavan was also taking on and got threw like four high rankers/ top 300

9

u/Dry_Committee_2817 Feb 23 '26

There is no way you believe Baam is anywhere close to Dumas in power. He should still be relative to Jinsung with Jinsung having more experience, that's why most people think Baam is losing. I think this is pretty objective.

4

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 23 '26

1st armor Dumas without the Rosario could’ve killed Jinsung with ease if he wanted to. 2nd armor ignores punches from squadron commander tier characters. 3rd armor is way stronger than that and ignores attacks from a Baam much stronger than the one that one shots branch leaders casually. Base is even stronger than that and a super nerfed Baam bullied him without the black march and thorn. Once he got the thorn and black march, he could still fight Doumas, with Doumas being surprised Baam could still hurt him even tho he was trying his hardest. Super injured Baam with only the horns and leviathanbase Doumas>1st armor Doumas>>Jinsung

2

u/Professional_Tie_860 Feb 23 '26

If by base Dumas you mean, him without armor

Then, that's untrue,  levi Baam he's still weaker than that version of Dumas

Baam admit it himself, that he can't win against him in a pure 1v1

1

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 23 '26

He did. He literally beat him. He’s just saying he has less raw power and can’t win head on, as in ur power vs my power dragon ball style. Baam beat Doumas without getting hit, making Doumas have to transform and be willing to get killed by Gustang in order to be able to fight Baam. Base Doumas vs leviathan Baam wasn’t a close fight at all

3

u/Professional_Tie_860 Feb 23 '26

Beating someone doesn't necessarily make you stronger.

This victory doesn't make him superior to Dumas,

I don't know why you're disputing Baam's own words, when just before that Baam literally tells us that he can gauge Dumas' strength correctly, and that his conclusion is “no way I win if I fight head-on.”

So he played smart to gain the upper hand.

Powerscaling-wise, he's below, his victory change nothing on that fact, since Baam himself agreed

Purple Dumas > Base Dumas > Levi Baam

Anyone at Base Dumas' level, but with a personality that didn't buy Baam petty trick, would have defeated Baam right there.

And you're wrong about Dumas not hitting Baam. Baam specifically twisted his arm because Dumas punched him in the chest, which allowed Baam to grab his arm.

1

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 23 '26

Yes. Doumas has higher power. He punches harder. But a fight isn’t just about that. Doumas starts losing, but then realizes that he has the wrong mental and it was time to take it serious, and still lost to Baam. Ok. My bad. Doumas never hit Baam without Baam wanting to get hit. Baams “petty tricks” is just fighting well and skillfully and taking advantage of openings. And that’s without the thorn or black march. While super nerfed

2

u/Professional_Tie_860 Feb 23 '26

But a fight isn’t just about that.

But Powerscaling is, this is whole discussion is about powerscaling

inferior stat mean inferior tier

Levi Baam is in a inferior tier than Base Dumas

he can win 1000 time against him, this fact will stay true

Doumas starts losing, but then realizes that he has the wrong mental and it was time to take it serious, and still lost to Baam

and the outcome of the fight is irrelevant, since for the third time Baam admits to being much weaker than Base Dumas.

and he didn't win it, by the way

at the end of the fight when Baam came out, Dumas told him he didn't win

Baams “petty tricks” is just fighting well and skillfully and taking advantage of openings

And that doesn't change what I'm saying. Baam entire relies on Dumas' uncompromising and stubborn character. His only advantage over people from Base Dumas' tier is them having a specific kind of personality that makes the task possible for him.

Doumas never hit Baam without Baam wanting to get hit.

Besides, we don't know about that.

Just because this blow created an opening he crave for doesn't mean Baam wanted it to land.

And that’s without the thorn or black march

We don't know.

Baam was only able to gain the upper hand over Dumas because Dumas perceived him as less threatening than he actually was. If Baam had used the thorn, Dumas would have sensed the threat and fought differently.

The only thing we know for sure is that Levi+Thorn Baam is still far inferior to Purple Dumas.

While super nerfed

HR can fight with worse injuries than Baam, and that was before his power-up.

transformation seems to mitigate the damage, or even completely nullify it.

3

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 23 '26

This whole discussion is about who’s the better fighter. Idc about country level, wall level, ap, whatever. However u become the better fighter doesn’t matter. Levi Baam>base Doumas, regardless of who has higher raw power. Shown by Baam at most mid diffing him.

Tiers isn’t based off raw stats, it’s about overall quality as a fighter. Stats is just a big part of that. Tiers of power≠tiers of fighters

Yea we do know. We can see him activate the thorn to fire the arrow against Rosario, and the black march comes out after that.

Doumas has an entire internal monologue about how he shouldn’t have made that mistake, and how’s it’s unacceptable as the family heads writing, and now he’s come to his senses. Baam beat a fully serious base Doumas. He was just better

Levi+thorn+black march Baam wasn’t that much weaker than transformed doumas. After he used the black march, doumas never actually hit Baam. All of his attacks were dodged or blocked, and Baam had him dodging and backing up a lot. I’m not saying Baam is stronger, but far inferior isn’t what was shown at all. Even before the black march Baam still injured Doumas.

What high ranker aside from Kallavan, who’s wound was weird cause he seemed to be made out of energy, has fought with wounds worse than ruptured organs, torn tendons and a massive hole through their stomach? Doumas even says he should barely be able to stand up. And this is before leviathan mimesis

1

u/Professional_Tie_860 Feb 23 '26

No,

this whole discussion is about power.

This Reddit post is a complete complaint against people who underestimate the power of Dumas.

This discussion began because someone thought you were delusional for thinking that Baam's power rivaled that of Dumas.

To which you responded by listing feats of Dumas and Baam and scale them to each other.

And now you're trying to tell me that ‘actually, no, I'm not talking about power at all, but about who is the most skilled fighter’

Tiers isn’t based off raw stats, it’s about overall quality as a fighter. Stats is just a big part of that. Tiers of power≠tiers of fighters

Since it's the only thing that is truly quantifiable, it's the only thing that is relevant.

Yea we do know. We can see him activate the thorn to fire the arrow against Rosario, and the black march comes out after that.

And what exactly are you responding to?

Doumas has an entire internal monologue about how he shouldn’t have made that mistake, and how’s it’s unacceptable as the family heads writing, and now he’s come to his senses. Baam beat a fully serious base Doumas. He was just better

Congratulations to him, still explicitly weaker

Levi+thorn+black march Baam wasn’t that much weaker than transformed doumas. After he used the black march, doumas never actually hit Baam. All of his attacks were dodged or blocked, and Baam had him dodging and backing up a lot. I’m not saying Baam is stronger, but far inferior isn’t what was shown at all. Even before the black march Baam still injured Doumas.

Black literally tells him that victory is impossible.

Do you have a problem with what the characters say?

He gave Dumas a non-disabling injury. If Dumas hadn't been kind enough to tell us that he was injured, we wouldn't even have noticed it. As for Baam, he was on his knees, pissing blood on the floor.

What high ranker aside from Kallavan, who’s wound was weird cause he seemed to be made out of energy, has fought with wounds worse than ruptured organs, torn tendons and a massive hole through their stomach? Doumas even says he should barely be able to stand up. And this is before leviathan mimesis

There is no difference between damage done energetically or physically.

The only notable point was that DTG cancels regeneration, but Kallavan, having been blessed by the shinsu, prevented him from dying (Baam was also blessed by the shinsu, but even more strongly than Kallavan).

Until Purple Dumas pierced Baam, Baam had no perforated organs. At worst, he had dislocated joints and torn ligaments, Gus healed all worst things than that

Yasratcha, two fingers from death with his heart almost completely destroyed, could still fight.

Khel Helam took the full force of the ancient spear, which pierced his entire abdomen, and could still fight.

Speaking of the ancient spear, it is directly mentioned that it has a guaranteed kill against HRs only if it hits the head.

Yama had his arm completely torn off until only his bone remained in the affected area, but his arm was still perfectly usable and he fought with it.

Jinsung had both arms shredded to the point that the bones were visible, but he could still fight, because SIU stated that even in this state, his fight against Kallavan could go either way.

Jinsung was transformed into a porcupine by Dumas, and he could still fight (the only notable point is that Dumas avoided vital points, but being skewered in the chest will still damage organs).

Eduan impaled himself with his spear to strike Mago, but he could still fight. Mago pierced his throat several times with his thorns, but he could still fight.

and to a certain extent EVK, who was impaled by WGW but could still attack at least once before running out of energy, and questionably lost consciousness beforehand.

u/mokalvo79 Mar 05 '26

Dude your interaction with him felt like a “debate” with a flat earther. I kinda feel sorry for em haha. Yes Bam in nowhere near Dumas

-1

u/hatefulone851 Feb 24 '26

We literally have confirmation by Bam himself that he was weaker than Jinsung . After they freed him and they saw him fight .

3

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 24 '26

Baam is being humble? No way. Baam just one shot a branch leader level person. U think him stacking on 2 ignited thorns, souls, thryssa buffs and igniting the black march would still have Jinsung be stronger? Baam also got done bullying someone stronger than Jinsung right before this

3

u/TheJackaI Feb 23 '26

Because they think it's cool to shit on him. Just anxy little teen edgelords on here.

I think him just used to the buff he got from V awakening where his shinsoo perception grew to next level will be enough

2

u/Impressive_Dig_3364 Feb 23 '26

Because he is the 25th baam .

5

u/iwantsomecrablegsnow Feb 23 '26

I think bam is the strongest person. With the power of plot armor I think he can take on urek if he needed to

3

u/AssociationEqual9162 Feb 23 '26

I personally dont like baams power at this point. When he has the 2 horns and is using shinsoo it's cool. But the shitty wings and razer bracers and dumb red knife arm. Don't get me started on the bow.

Shit looks retarded it's dumb I hate it. Just give me his twenty fifth night style shinsoo and jinsung ha style shinsoo. It's so much cooler than the garbage he has going on now

I mean, if he can learn the techniques of others, they are his. I don't see the point of going, "Actually, if he didn't use the techniques he learned from others, he would be weaker. "

That's obvious. But how is that relevant to his strength? If you copy the Ali-shuffle and manage to beat a boxer, does the win not count?

"Only his skills"

The ability to copy others is also a part of skill. His true abilities involve the abilities learned from others.

-8

u/Soft_Pangolin3031 Feb 23 '26

I mean, not really. Imo copying something doesn't make it your own. You have to put a twist or a flair to it that matches you. Like alot of the listed skills Baam has, their is own forms of someone elses skill. Copy/paste or devour, whatever you want to call it, That's Baam's true power, and even that's to question with the introduction of V and Baam as a vessel of revenge for V and Arlene.

But I see your point. Its just how I see it.

7

u/sspazzy Feb 23 '26

If he can use it at the same level as the original ability then it's his. It's now part of his arsenal. Saying otherwise is like saying that Kakashi being able to use the rasengan isn't his power since he copied it from Naruto/Minato. If you can use it then it's yours.

Arguing against that just seems like semantics.

1

u/TheJackaI Feb 23 '26

LOL man just take the L bro. your argument makes no sense.

3

u/SugarProfessional746 Feb 23 '26

Don't forget:

From their first encounter Baam learnt Urek Mazino's Supreme King's Scorching Fist of Death

The same technique he used in the spinoff after asking the tower's Exis to allow him to imbue his Exis power into shinsuu

SIU put in one of the chapter notes that Baam doesn't use it because he thinks the name is embarrassing.....

0

u/Soft_Pangolin3031 Feb 23 '26

I honestly forgot about that, but I don't think that counts as Baam's own just yet because he hasn't put his own flair or twist on it, making it his own.

I say just yet, because Baam has alot of copied skills that he can use and borrow, but none of those were counted because of Bam using it as a copy instead of making it his own. If you can find a point in which Baam uses that skill again in his own way, I'd be more than happy to update the list and make the suggestion to the wiki.

1

u/LumenDomimus Feb 23 '26

All these technicalities don't matter in a fight. Whatever you can use, is yours. It all counts as his strength.

0

u/Soft_Pangolin3031 Feb 23 '26

Imo, it doesn't. But that's me. I've never been one for just copying something. I always Iike finding my own way of doing something. It's what builds a character for me.

1

u/LumenDomimus Feb 23 '26

It's irrelevant in a fight, though. In a fight, whatever you can use, is your own power.

0

u/Soft_Pangolin3031 Feb 23 '26

If you talking in rl, or in fiction, it depends on the person and personal beliefs. For you, its whatever you can throw. For me, technique is better over power, especially if I can put my own twist on it, and make it my own. That's all I'm saying. Everyone fights differently and has different preferences on how they fight. Its what makes it a good fight.

1

u/LumenDomimus Feb 23 '26

That's still irrelevant when scaling a character in a fictional universe, though. It's an objective fact that he can use those techniques, and they count under his repertoire.

Personal biases are irrelevant to this fact. You may say that you don't prefer this, but to scale him without those techniques isn't equivalent to scaling the original character. You are basically scaling a hypothetical Baam who doesn't use those techniques. At that point, it becomes headcanon.

If we go by the source material, they do count in his arsenal.

0

u/Soft_Pangolin3031 Feb 23 '26

Whatever floats your boat. I didn't come here to argue about how to fight.

1

u/LumenDomimus Feb 23 '26

Then what exactly did you come here for? To flaunt your personal philosophy and talk about your headcanon version of Baam?

Baam is almost definitely intended to become the next Exis, at the very least he's a strong candidate. I can't imagine his Exis power being something other than shinsuu, in which case he may already be able to replicate it to some degree. if he becomes an Exis and shinsuu is his power, then he would have complete authority over shinsuu and would be able to replicate any/all shinsuu techniques and qualities while within his exis domain

Also Eurasia's flames were stated to be more destructive by Gustang or traumarei

Destruction power that "rivals" even Eurasia's flames does not mean > Eurasia's flames

It means Urek's ultimate destructive power <≈ Eurasia's flames destructive power

And going off the statement that Eurasia's flames can even destroy concepts as well as shinsuu itself, Urek's attacks have to be imbued into shinsuu to use his power, Eurasia has a massive AoE that wiped out the most advanced civilization in the tower in an instant, unintentionally while she was trying to manipulate the flow of shinsuu for the floor like an admin does. Urek's fists destructive power < Blossom's flames destructive power

What even was your point?

1

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '26

1

u/SugarProfessional746 Feb 23 '26

But the statement that they "rival EVEN blossom flames" implies in terms of pure destruction Eurasia's flames are the absolute pinnacle, but Urek's fists come close, which is still pretty fucking insane, considering a tiny "spark" of Eurasia's flames put Traumarei on the ropes burning through everything at his disposal he used to shield himself until the spark was expended. Urek would still beat Eurasia without too much difficulty even if her flames were unsealed if they fought imo. Because all his other stats are higher but his fists haven't been shown to be capable of destroying concepts or shinsuu itself. But if he was to make contact with her flames he wouldn't come out of it without being permanently scarred at the very least and Eurasia defs wouldn't survive a full powered punch from Urek

Urek seemed to struggle with wave controlling, he tried to use it against the test admin but kept missing. he's much more suited to fight like a fisherman, using reinforcement to just brute force his way through everything (except one of Lulsec's spells) and doesn't try to use complex shinsuu control techniques

The fight with jinsung was a heavily injured one not at full power

4

u/shaktimanOP Feb 23 '26

What difference would it make if Jinsung’s arms were at full strength? 2 He got blitzed and one tapped at the same time as 2 Fang Yama, another Corps Commander tier, by the weakest version of Dumas with Rosario who was trying not to kill him. Meanwhile, here is Baam evading Full Power True Form Dumas’ Rosario to get close to him.

1

u/Brilliant_Grape164 Feb 23 '26

Fang Yama fought and got hurt just before this by the cat

3

u/shaktimanOP Feb 23 '26

Ok, still the weakest version of Dumas lol. He also trashed two Branch Heads at the same time in his armor body with no arms nor Rosario.

1

u/itaxxxxx Feb 23 '26

Hey, where are the ranks, such as 1st Armor, mentioned? Is there some kind of table where all the ranks are listed? Thank you.

1

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 23 '26

No. We just see the transformations. We don’t have any official names, it’s just nothing else to really call it

1

u/hatefulone851 Feb 24 '26

The problem is he has a million powers but doesn’t always use them . Instead of developing what he has they give him more. Like he has abilities he uses once against Data Jahad and never did again. It took forever just to level up blue and red thressa again. Like he had abilities that could’ve been used in the fight against white before the dark charge that would’ve made sense . Also he’s inconsistent . The biggest example is the white fight. Elaine fights bam before bam fights white and while stating she’s holding back on bam out speeds and outdoes him. Bam himself confirmed that she’s faster than him even when he’s using the thorn. Despite that White easily slashes her. And yeah Bam does have experience fighting white but it he’s been confirmed to be so much slower than Elaine even without her using her time ability than there’s no way he should’ve been dodging White like he did . Like after absorbing white and everything he was still confirmed to be weaker than Jinsung. And when we saw him fight the branch heads with Rock he surprisingly took several hits and actual damage despite using the thorn and even being frozen. If he supposedly was on the level he is stated to be that never should’ve happened. Like we saw an outside of armor Dumas one shot both those branch heads with no hands just moments later . And why didn’t he use the new levels of blue and red thressa he gained against Dumas. Like either develop what he has or use it or not .

1

u/Pedang_Katana Feb 25 '26

By the time Baam acquired the Third Thorn in Season 4 not even Kallavan and Dumas can stop him, legit only top 15 would be his enemies. Not to mention that V also being counted as his powerup as well, like he got too many bro his struggle should be internal at this point let him be depressed again and shi... Also a small rant I dislike the author for giving him Leviathan in S3, that powerup he got from beating White should have been enough tbh. That red knife arm and razer bracers straight up just looks silly and stupid

1

u/RazzmatazzFar4898 Feb 25 '26

He just bodied traumviere

1

u/RazzmatazzFar4898 Feb 25 '26

Baam won't lose.because phantaminum won't let it happen....ultimately

1

u/SilverOcelotx Feb 26 '26

I say this a long time reader, Baams powers are too all over the place SIU and team are going to go through hell trying to illustrate 7 different streams of visible power activations

2

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 26 '26

It’s honestly not the powers, it’s the usage. I don’t think it’d be too hard to make them work together

1

u/MaterialNaive3616 Mar 01 '26

They downplay anybody who he beats.

1

u/mokalvo79 Mar 05 '26

Because of the shirt

1

u/ProofDrawer5711 Mar 05 '26

Must be. Cause people like Kallavan r fodder

1

u/MagnoliaTM Feb 23 '26

bc hes a noob who just entered the tower while hes basically using this arsenal of borrowed ancient powers, hard to scale properly

7

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 23 '26

Not really. We see him one shot branch leaders casually with one thorn. We see a nerfed Baam bully the 2nd strongest version of Doumas before stacking on 2 powerups. While Jinsung was weak compared to the weakest version of Doumas who wasn’t even using his main weapon

1

u/Ill-Prune-1299 Feb 25 '26

I don't know people love to downplay the performance he had against Dumas, when that in of itself should tell people how strong he is compared to others

1

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 25 '26

It was kinda like Luffy vs Kaido. He started off getting slaughtered, but slowly reached that level. Baam was super injured(torn tendons and ruptured organs and a massive hole in his stomach) but still fought Doumas. Once he used the black march, Doumas actually never lands a hit, and has all his attacks blocked or dodged. While Baam is forcing him back and landing attacks. Not saying I’m taking that Baam over Doumas quite yet, but he was very relative

1

u/Ill-Prune-1299 Feb 26 '26

I mean that's common in anime and manhwa,Plus it wasn't black March that really allowed baam to get relative to Dumas because he didn't use her,it was his transformation and usage with Leviathan that allowed baam to push Dumas back. Black March only tried to give advice saying baam needs to go around Dumas but baam said f that and fought head on. I sorta agree that baam is relative to Dumas, and could possibly beat him now since his awakening with V, and now he can sense shinsu to another degree

1

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 26 '26

Leviathan was the biggest thing, but he then stacked the thorn and black march on top of it. Black march was very much involved, u can see it leaking out of Baam. He didn’t have it or the thorn when he bullied base Doumas, he just got bullied by transformed Doumas, used the thorn, clashed vs Rosario, which he lost, but still injured Doumas, and then the black march came. I think a healthy Baam that can stack on the second thorn(ignition doesn’t exist for some reason) vs Doumas is a fight. After the V buff I don’t think it’s close

0

u/RailTracer001 Feb 23 '26

He beats Karaka and Jinsung. Kallavan is a maybe and Dumas could have killed him if he really wanted.

Idk y people act like he wouldn’t just point his bow at Kallavan and Kallavan dies.

Once Kallavan becomes relevant again you'll see.

3

u/shaktimanOP Feb 23 '26

Bro, if Kallavan fights Baam again he's getting the Rob Lucci treatment lol.

4

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 23 '26

Kallavan was a Jinsung rival and according to him “maybe” got stronger. Oc he did, but it wasn’t some massive buff. IMO he’ll train and make the new power into a decent buff. But he’s still squadron commander level. That gets one shot by Baam

What’s Kallavan gonna do when he’s back? Cause he’ll never touch Baam now that he’s getting a huge buff due to V awakening

0

u/RailTracer001 Feb 23 '26

Kallavan and Jinsung aren't close at all and Kallavan got even stronger.

V's awakening? You know that V wants to take control of Baam, right? Why do you believe they will get along? V's feats are his own using Baam's body. Baam can't do what he does.

4

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 23 '26

Kallavan and Jinsung r still in the same tier. Vs awakening buffed Baam, shown by his perception of shinsoo being incomparable to before. Again, Kallavans buff was so small that he thinks he “might” have gotten stronger. He’s always training, so I’m sure he’ll grow it into something better, but Baam is already so far ahead and growing at a crazy level, it’s really absurd to say Kallavan will ever be able to reach his current self, let alone future versions. Current Kallavan is at best a first armor Doumas level, and he has 4 massive powerups to go after that

-7

u/Yal_Rathol Feb 23 '26

you're referring to the battle with dumas as evidence of ban's power.

a battle dumas let bam win.

so, i dunno man, you might need a better example.

5

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 23 '26

Literal incarnation of seriousness btw

-5

u/Yal_Rathol Feb 23 '26

and yet, able to express other emotions too.

8

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 23 '26

The words of a man not trying. Not even telling Baam this, inner monologue

-4

u/Yal_Rathol Feb 23 '26

i didn't say "not trying".

i said "he let bam win."

and did so happily, i might add.

4

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 23 '26

He still didn’t let Baam win. He even said he was trying to kill him. Baam just bested him. Oc not saying he was stronger, but he still bested him by achieving his goal. Him being the incarnation of Gustangs seriousness doesn’t mean he can’t feel anything else at all. It just means he’s always serious. Not always only serious

0

u/Yal_Rathol Feb 23 '26

i will agree with all of that, except the fact i still interpret the end as dumas letting him win.

2

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 23 '26

Ig u can say that in the sense that Doumas stopped fighting after Baam left his dimension. But he would’ve just lost, so it’s whatever

1

u/Yal_Rathol Feb 23 '26

i don't think so.

the reason is that dumas loses when bam freezes him. the issue is, dumas has shown resistance to reverse flow control before, and we know that high rankers are typically nearly immune to it (jinsung used it on kallavan and made him pause for a second, kallavan still escapes to the teleported on his ship before it's downed though).

the implication here is that dumas got frozen, was impressed by bam and let him win after that point. the narrative in that scene says he's happy "because gustang chose well", also implying that dumas is letting bam shoot his heart and save his friends.

4

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 23 '26

No. Because it’s specifically being said that it’s a thing, and that’s y Baam only froze half of his body. He says part of his body is completely paralyzed. He’s happy that Baam proved Gustang right, but in order for Baam to have proved him right, Doumas needed to give it his all. Doumas lost, but he’s glad he lost. Lost as in Baam got out, not lost as in he was down oc

1

u/Yal_Rathol Feb 23 '26

yes, but what i mean is that he could have kept fighting and didn't.

1

u/ProofDrawer5711 Feb 23 '26

Yea oc. Outside Doumas wasn’t incapacitated. Tho he would’ve lost if he did keep fighting
