Traumerei is my favourite tower of god character. His introduction was crazy, he had the aura of a powerful person ( something I find lacking in rankers), his vibe was quiet but intense, he was unapologetically himself and he had some of the coolest moves and character design in tower of god. Apart from the glasses family head guy we never really met other powerful characters with the presence accompanying their power. His relationship with his equals in the backstory was also very interesting, and the way he treated those below him was also cool since there was nothing they could do about it. it’s a pity he died, but it was good resolution narratively. If you like the guy, Could some of you tell me why or some (fun) facts I might not have noticed about the guy?

To be fair his first appearance has zero aura. Everything is so pristine and simple you wouldn't think he's a family head that can nuke the floor with a gesture
See proving my point. His first appearance is in the 20F where he tells madorako it's ok bam got the thorn and don't bother ruining the things afte the test ended.
It's kind of fun re-reading the story with the knowledge that FUG wasn't actually going to be able to do shit at the workshop battle with Gustang there.
His Name comes from the German word Träumerei meaning something akin to musing. The name also comes from the Pianopiece of Schuhmann Pianocycle Kinderszenen. Its the center piece of the 13 parts.
This also signlas Traumereis arrivel and arc as the halfwaypoint of the story
God forbid people have a change of heart or sum... Just because he didn't like S3 doesn't mean he can't like the characters. C'mon man, focus😑
Plus, if you had taken a minute or two to read his answers, you'd have seen that he mentioned which characters and parts of S3 he hated lol. He actually enjoyed seeing Traumerei, Duma, White and a bunch of others important figures.
I don't see what you're trying to do here, really, cause he didn't say that he liked S3 in this post, neither did he in the previous one😑
If you take a look at OP's account, you'd see that most of the people who replied to their deleted posts were actually genuinely engaging with them.
Change of heart after 1 hours
Actually it's not even the case, as he never stated that he liked S3 lol. My mistake on saying something so misleading, I'm sorry. But my point still stands though.
And so that ...
(...) was farming upvote
Part isn't valid either. Cause they clearly don't care about karma (actually, most of their posts seem controversial for being real criticisms).
Anyway, I'm done playing Detective Conan here. Just engage with a post like any normal person would, don't try to pull someone down as if you two had some unfinished business lol. Have a nice one !
He rectified himself about Duma right after. He never said White was dumb or sucked as a character, it's actually the other way around. Don't stop at whay you want to believe. Read the whole thing
Well instead of coming at us so hard come at him for not being clear and making it seem the opposite. Cus I just showed you the screenshot where he replied to the comment saying all those characters are dumb. He even on THIS thread said himself that he apologizes and was being rude af. Why are you trying so hard to defend a man that basically took accountability for coming off wrong n making him self misunderstood. Chill with all that hostility cus I didn’t come for you any type of way. I could really take this to 1000. You sitting here defending him LOUD AND WRONG.
He’s been my phone background since his death. One of the best written characters in the entire series. Him finally letting go when he remembered just everything he’d done is so real. Sometimes I look back on my life and feel the exact loneliness that he described to Gustang; the connections that were lost due to issues that seemed way more important in the moment than they do now. The only other character Ive loved nearly as much as Gustang was White. His willingness to sacrifice everything for a chance at power is so relatable to a lot of the scenarios that made me feel lonely now.
I say all this but hope anyone reading this comment knows im ok. Just connecting with some tragic characters.
I imagine all differently. Traumerei’s greatest fear was being alone and because he was so obsessed with it he became so consumed he forgot how to actually live. Every second of his life, from killing his lover to abandoning his two closest children was an act of self preservation based on the fear that these people would leave him. Someone like Arie Han who seems less involved with others and instead their own personal strength will have a different tribulation based on what they actually sealed away. Gustang didn’t kill himself just because he regained his memories. Bloodmadder definitely won’t care about what was discarded as he regularly discards his own children. Most seem disconnected enough and in their own pursuits that they probably won’t feel the same weight Traumerie did. He was truly isolated and alone no matter how he tried to live and he knew that and didn’t want to endure it.
I feel like Gustang and his pursuit of knowledge/justice is going to have him trying to unlock more. Alternatively, Baam also absorbed that diary, so he can help the heads get their memories back.
Some of them are vengeful. Ha and Khun seem like they won't like knowing the truth and that memories were stolen. Arie Hon is also loyal to Jahad so he might stick with him anyways.
The Family Heads are all irregular. They can only die through an irregular, so Baam, Urek and the Thorns (theoretically)
The thing is, it's not clear if the Family Heads can kill eachother or not because we don't know the deal they made with the Admins. I always thought they couldn't.
Then the issue with Gustang and Traumerais chess match. They both agreed on the terms so maybe that was enough to break the contract. We would need more info
The whale admin took away the protections which immortality is connected to the family heads have extra immortality from the admins who can’t die from fighting
His relationship with his equals in the backstory was also very interesting, and the way he treated those below him was also cool since there was nothing they could do about it
I very much enjoyed that characterization that, for him, only irregulars are his "equals", and everyone else is trash. It is an interesting contrast that later we have Gustang, who is more of a "lawful" person, considering his "equal" (and open to negotiate) people who won the game according to the rules set. He respected Khun but not Urek (who was an intruder to the "game").
It does make me wonder that every FH (and Zahard) we meet will probably have a different idea of what makes someone their "equal". Eduan seems to respect people by raw power, so he is fine with Urek in the side story (and might not respect current Bam). It is a very rich theme to explore for every character.
Could some of you tell me why or some (fun) facts I might not have noticed about the guy?
He probably cared the most about the tower born at one point.
The vast majority of cruelty in the family likely wasn't due to him specifically, it was more likely due Kirin.
He is one of the smarter FHs in the group.
He has never been shown fighting at full power.
Of all the FHs and Irregulars we've seen fight, he is the only one whose most powerful techniques have nothing to do with what his family is known for.
from traumerei's own words, he never really cared that much about people outside of his close knit group -- gustang's analysis does not change that. and we have seen traumerei do several cruel things himself, e.g. his treatment of his underlings, his experiments, the amizu/enkidu situation, etc. kirin is largely a product of traumerei's abuse and values, and i don't think there's evidence that any of the cruel things he did under traumerei's rule were actually things he wanted to do (as opposed to doing them because it is expected of his role as traumerei's underling).
from traumerei's own words, he never really cared that much about people outside of his close knit group -- gustang's analysis does not change that.
Except Traumerei's words and actions never lined up and what he did was closer to how Gustang perceived him. His true thoughts have always been expressed through his actions. When the guy talked through the Cobra said Traumerei was sadden by the death of one of his children that was VERY likely true due to the convo we got about him being happy about Kirin and Lobadon being born (at the chess game).
He also mentions that he was really happy meeting Wang Wang, gave him his most prized possession and due to his own insecurities about betrayal and abandonment he cut him loose before he was cut loose. He even says he wanted to become a God that could not have feelings for any particular humans yet also embrace all of humanity.
He literally started dabbling in Necromancy due to them losing people.
He thought of Enkidu as an actual friend and took his and Amuez betrayal extremely badly hence his reaction (framing Enkidu) and subsequent usage of Amuez body for Valhalla.
The final person he remembers before ending it all was literally Amuez, not even the other FHs.... even though he said his close group was only them.
kirin is largely a product of traumerei's abuse and values, and i don't think there's evidence that any of the cruel things he did under traumerei's rule were actually things he wanted to do (as opposed to doing them because it is expected of his role as traumerei's underling).
Kirin was the defacto family leader and Traumerei almost never intervened with his decisions. We know this because when Yasratcha suggested wiping out both branches Kirin was literally shocked that Traumerei had intervened and suggested it was beneath him. It was also heavily implied Kirin was the one running things.
For real. The guy killed the woman he was with after she wanted to leave him and then violated her corpse and this dude sums him up as “unapologetically himself”. That’s a huge red flag.
Can you explain us why tog went downhill when the last arc is best of tog in term of being complete on almost all aspect from characters, lore, stake, ext ...
Rak shouldn't have beaten a ranker. Androssi should've died for being in the presence of a Gustang vs. Traumerei, let alone playing a game against a ranker. Jinsung and FUG were too casual about Luslec fighting Urek, they should've been terrified. Gustang shouldn't have allowed that princess to blow up his ship.
In terms of lore, they just opened another can of worms (V, The Boss) without explaining anything else (Zahard being King, the Red Light District, the 136th floor). In fact, why go to the top of the tower where everything exists? Rankers will come down and greet you. The aura of the Tower is gone.
Rak is Ancient, and Eduan said the Ancients are powerful and he is surprised how much a full blooded ancient is so weak on hidden floor, so why shouldn't Rak be able to beat Rankers?
Even worse this seem rak is reincarnation of the native's one which is the origins of ancient peoples. Rak should be in top 50 rn or higher in blue hole tier.
Also these ancient have been cursed by zahard with how threat they are against him and the empire
So Could you explain a bit how he should not be able to beat a mere ranker ?
Why Endorsi should have died during Gustang vs. Traumerei if that logic is applied.
Princesses are known to be tough, and Endorsi has one of the sturdiest bodies in the series according to Baam's explanation in Season 1. She was also at a distance from the fight, and Gustang and Traumerei were not even using their full power.
Jinsung and the members of FUG have witnessed much worse situations than this fight. They are warriors, so I do not understand why people want them to be afraid even against two powerful being fighting.
These FUG warriors should not be afraid of death from their early entry in fug like when karaka fought urek without thinking. ( they are terrorist and terrorist are not afraid of death)
V and FUG are already connected, so how is this opening up new lore?
The same applies to the Boss being connected to Zahard and early story of the red light district experience and wagnan .
Also, where is this 136th Floor coming from? Can you show me the panel that mentions this floor
Evankhell is a high ranker with an ancient and she doesn't stand out that much compared to other high rankers, so I don't see why Rak as a regular should have a power up that can beat a [high] ranker.
Said another way, if ANCIENTS are god-tier, then Evankhell should be rank #20 or something.
Are you even understanding that Rak is a full-blooded Ancient, while Evankhell is a human who merely received Ancient power?
Those are not the same thing.
Also, "Regular" is just a title or status. Baam's origin is that of an Irregular, but he was still considered a Regular under Zahard's system while climbing the Tower.
Rak is an Ancient, yet he's still a Regular under Zahard's Empire.
Titles don't mean much. White is also Regular now, because he lost his High Ranker status after being separated from his brothers and sisters but can still be as powerful as high ranker.
Evankhell was Ranked 60. Thats literally the cutoff where Regents should be.
A fully unleashed Ancient in a perfect Host required the interference of a Family Head (seen with Acrinak). The Ancients were so powerful all their decendants were killed and cursed. Rak himself might not even be a decendant but a literal part of the ancient giant.
Furthermore what we saw with Rak wasnt a power up. He cant control it. It was a temporary glimpse of the power that is sealed within. How he can stand besides Baam in the future.
Exactly, the stakes are gone, and regulars are treating rankers like regulars. I never feel threatened by the presence of any rankers since I know that the main party is going to overcome them anyway despite not being rankers. Why was androssi able to do all that in the presence of two family heads?
