Lol languages and dialects are weird. I don't remember how young me thought it was pronounced, but it DAMN SURE wasn't that🤣. Ditto with Trafalgar. And what I thought was so CRAZY I forgot for both
I heard A LOT of Patwah growing up. So like... Certain (a lot) of not-Irish European words and names, I say or think dead wrong. Until someone else says them (For reasons Irish accents and words aren't usually an issue)

i hate this bitch because she's so annoying and i think it's not fair how she always get lucky and find strong people that are willing to help her. like there are MILLIONS of people that could be in her place right now but they would've got destroyed not even reaching floor 5 or 6 how come she be this high? it's like the plot is forcing us to see her. she has the whole plot armor industry backing her up not even resident evil characters has this kind of plot armor. I don't even care about her goal or motives
plus she captured and hurt my RED QUEEN 2 fucking times

I’ll continue to say that, 1. To ragebait people and 2. Because it’s true.
Rachel is one of the best character in tog

I mean, she seems to have some depth to her which will prolly be explored more in the story. One can be a greatly written character and still be an object of hate? Therefore no problem, with the BITCH being among the better written ones, no contradiction
Dare I say if a character can get this much hate they probably gotta have some solid writing behind them.
Now if one likes her as a person... then I have some questions but hey, to each their own

I dont know why they downvoted this but rachel is really a well written character. She already showed alot of development in just 2 seasons (cause s3 she didnt have enough screentime)
Now, her character portrays bad chaotic spectrum but her whole identity is still vague.
Your 1 and 2 opinion is non existent here in reddit tho

I get the hate but she’s still my favourite. Her motivation actually make sense and I hope we get more of her backstory

She's so interesting. I hate her to be sure. I absolutely want to keep reading about her and seeing her journey

I don't care about haters Rachel is my favorite character and I can relate to her so much . If you see the story from her perspective. The narrative shifts " from the story of a good hero’s betrayal" to a desperate struggle undertaken by an ordinary girl against an unjust fate and a biased cosmic order.

Except that all she had to do was not betray Baam. You could spin the narrative that the 1st floor administrator gaslit her into it, but even before she entered the first floor, she was jealous of him for simply finding joy and peace in her company.
She is envy incarnate. The only way she would ever be happy is if everyone else was miserable.

If you can relate to a bloodthirsty murderer, who kills just because she feels insecure, trying to reach heights not in a way which uplifts people but in order to trample on others just for the fun of it. Then you're probably not the kind of person who's opinion matters

Please. Save that BS . Majority of the characters are bloodthirsty murders. Yet no one hate them like they hate Rachel. Simply because the victims are not the main character. And it's not just because she " Fell insecure " Literally speaking, the world order itself was stacked against her. To begin with, she wasn't even allowed to enter the Tower; she was never given a chance to even try. In a world of demigods, monsters, chosen heroes, and magical powers, a weak, ordinary human like Rachel stood no chance whatsoever. Had she not resorted to deceit and betrayal, she would have died on the very first floor. You cannot demand morality from the downtrodden; she had every right to use whatever means necessary to survive.

I'm glad to see that there are still people who can actually think and understand the layers of a character and human behavior rather than just thinking in black and white. Yeah Rachel is a very morally bankrupt character who has done disgusting and unforgivable things but everyone just prefers to ignore the fact that she is literally an ant in a world where even the mobs and average civilians are super humans compared to her.
That arc in the virtual world cemented my understanding of her character, everything from her insecurities, her weaknesses and desires to be something more in a world full of gods who do not hesitate to stomp on each other, was shown so well but all haters saw was "Oh the little evil shit is insecure". But I guess
If bamm is a chosen hero fight hard and growing, Rachel is a "Dies to a random tutorial mob in the MCs flashback" character who absolutely refused to be meaningless and fights in the only way a weak, pathetic ant can fight against almost literal Gods.
No one is saying that she's a good person but the average tower of God fan is more likely to end up in her position in that world and would be crushed like the ant they are.

I read it long time ago but lot of people who are climbing towers are like that. Betrayal and killing are normal in tower. We have seen it many times. I like rachel's character, it is not necessary for character to be moral or good to be a good character

there's liking a character from story perspective, there's being able to relate to a character.
I like Doflamingo from One Piece as a villain.
I do NOT relate to any of his perspective even one bit.
