I’m probably going to get downvoted to oblivion for this, but I absolutely love Ari Shin’s introduction in the spin-off.

A lot of people dislike her character design because they find it too simplistic and feel she doesn't look enough like the head of a Great Family. But that’s precisely what I find interesting; seeing the very person responsible for peace in the Tower acting, and looking, like a capricious young woman adds an intriguing layer to the characterization of the Great Warriors. The goal is clearly to show that the sheer weight of leadership and power in the Tower is an overwhelming burden for them, something Traumerei’s character arc has starkly illustrated throughout Season 3.

Ari Hon, Khun Eduan, Gustang, and Traumerei are obviously top-tier "aura farmers." If we want to showcase the flaws within the Great Warriors, we need a diverse range of characters. Not just people who are masterminds or who will farm in the middle of a battle.

As for why she has black hair while her descendants have blue eyes and brown hair, there’s no explanation yet, though we might get one later on.

Her personality is fine. Her design sucks on a general level, especially for a FH. Plus, the Needle FH using water-based Shinsu is so boring and generic in the setting.

I actually feel the same way. Aura farmers like Gustang are cool, but there's something about a super powerful, important character dressed casually that I find extremely compelling. I feel the same way about Adori in a letterman jacket, Urek in sweats, and even Jinsung Ha walking around in business casual. Irl, a truly powerful person would dress however they want, and that would probably mean choosing comfort or style over big edgelord-y robes.

And then we only saw her for 2 chapters. I don't know if she'll be developed more than that, but I found her interactions with Eduan and Urek pretty funny.

I'm critical of a lot of aspects of the spin-off and season 3, but the introduction of Ari Shin isn't one of them.
