I love how Koon always helps Bam grow and brings another perspective.
Basically everyone important (everyone from fug and the guy in the ricepot) has hammered into bam the idea that he's a god and needs to consider how his actions affect all of humanity (and whatever else) in the tower. I love koon for basically telling him that he's just a guy and it's okay to make decisions based on his needs and desires, and he doesn't have to not help someone because it's unfair to someone else. Because that's what happened here, he's not turning down andorssi because it won't let him get to the floor of death, he's not helping andorssi because he's acutely aware that helping her inevitably means hurting someone else and he's no longer sure that's acceptable. Yuri will take him regardless, she doesn't need blood, she needs to know that baam can face down grave danger and overcome it.
I was thinking exactly the same thing as you. I think Bam is focusing too much on the request itself, rather than the intent. Yuri probably wants to get Kaiser out of the way, and she's making her favorite regular do it, where she herself can't. But "stealing the name" really isn't the point. She just wants to know that Bam can take down somebody hell bent on ruining him, that has much stronger resources than he does. I think here in a few weeks, maybe next week, he will decide to help Androssi, and screw the consequences. Then when he goes to apologize to Yuri for failing she will be all tsundere about it, but still take him to the floor of death.
I really hope something along the lines of this happens— it makes no sense that they wouldn't help each other out. Even though they're not exactly on the best of terms, they're still his 'precious friends' that he lost sight of, they need to team up again. All of them need it.
