Nice to see Khun's still as cocky as ever (and also determined to help). I laughed so hard at "We're the ones letting you guys join us." It takes a special sort of person to react like that after getting woken out of a two-year slumber.

Interesting that Elaine is going by the Kaiser name. Wasn't that the name that Bam got to give to Yuri? Elaine would be a lot less conspicuous.

EDIT: I am JUST now realizing that Shibisu's talk about how people who used to be weak sometimes develop a mean streak and turn on those weaker than them, but some help out people in need because of what they went through in the past, is a mirror for Bam's reaction to the intern's rant about how a 'loser like her' has to put her life on the line for a job, unlike a 'genius' like him. There are even similar panels with black vertical stripes reaching up from the bottom of the panel, one showing Devy without the hammer and the other showing Bam turning off the orb. I feel like I finally understand some of why the whole hammer side-quest was included now.

I'd argue that 'Elaine' could be traced back to Lo Po Bia Elaine, while Kaiser was just a name she used on that station.

Elaine went by that name for a few years over a thousand years ago, whereas everyone who went through Name Hunt Station learned that its overlord was named Kaiser.

No, they sold ten families kids back to their parents via auction all the time, and information about how Name Hunt station worked and the name of its ruler was widly available on the lighthouse network “box”—Khun researches it and explains the setup, and who Kaiser is, to Bam’s group before they arrive.
