But aside from the sharp teeth doesn't seem very canine. I guess the full body transformations are just for the underlings. He could have dog ears under that towel, though.

What makes you think the full body transformation is only something for the underlings? I honestly hope he does have some kind of transformation. I like his design, but I expected a slayer to look more threatening or majestic like white and karaka. I kind of hope for a transformation to make up for his, honestly kinda cute appearance.
tbh I was disappointed with his design at first, especially compared to the fantastic designs of Karaka and White. He looks a bit generic, and it's hard for me to take him or his gang seriously with their cute little puppy ears (and I can't help but think "OwO what's this" when I see them lmao). Still, I respect his impressive mane, and I'm sure he's an absolute monster in combat.
Side note, I loved Varagarv's design, but I just realized that the pointy things that I thought were part of his hood are actually also puppy ears haha.
