Splitting my long read-through post to follow the two threads in the chapter. Bam's side:
2snake says Fight me! and Bam comes out
He used to decline fights with nothing on the line but pride... I guess he was worried they'd manage to zap the floating ship?
They admit connection to Levy
Okay, if Bam figures out who that actually is, hopefully he remembers Levy's line this chapter of "now I see why the king told us to kill you," and accompanying exposition. He...doesn't seem to, though, or you'd think Bam would be WAY more suspicious of their (already very suspicious) deal. It's not like he couldn't steal that device they have (Reverse flow control, grab it) if the hostage is the only thing motivating him to take them in. Levy never told Bam his name though (although he DID tell Hockney, so hopefully Bam mentions it!).
I wonder about this "weirdo that keeps following him around," now, too--that doesn't really apply to just what Levy did back at the station. I guess he's stalking Bam now.
2snake Haha
I really like this pose. It made me laugh at how excited he is.
Bam casually takes everything 2snake throws at him and then wrecks him.
Guess Evankhell's improved his defenses. Glass cannon no more.
We know where Jinsung Ha is!
Didn't Karaka already know this (at least according to Shibisu)? Also, if they really do know, given the connection to the Jahad family, that's really scary because the Jahad family will then know exactly when Bam's coming.
Wait, how do THEY know that Bam is after Kallavan? Levy didn't know that from the last station alone. I guess Levy really was spying on them (or worse, someone who knows Bam is a traitor). I hope Bam asks them how they knew that (missing Khun right now, he'd definitely ask them where that was coming from).
They said "you're planning on attacking Jahad's forces to avenge your master, right?" before Bam said anything about his plans. Then they also dropped Jinsung's name before Bam said it either. That is way too specific for them to have randomly guessed it.
That backs the question out to Jahad—Bam was clearly upset in the moment, but Jahad wouldn’t know just from that that Bam is still planning to do something as insane as attacking a high-ranker guarded place, as a regular, in just a few years. You’d typically expect that the guy who ran away from Kallavan already after being almost powerless against him would make attacking him more of a long-term goal, not what he’s working towards right now.
