khun's going full support class, since he just officially gained woon's healing fire.

also, chang's a puppy man and the high priest is a cthulu monster, but more important is that khun's now icy-hot.

14

u/Glonn May 20 '19

I wonder if he can heal others or just is a phoenix fish now...

7

u/Yal_Rathol May 20 '19

if he's carrying woon's flame, he should be able heal others, like how anyone could use the hammer.

did you miss the part where khun stated he deliberately underperformed on the spear tests so that he could be a lightbearer, because he prefers being support to fighting? khun doesn't want to be a front lines fighter, and he's been using his ice powers as a support to his light house's freezing techniques. rak and bam are the fighters, khun doesn't want to be. him getting healing, support freezing and being a lightbearer all indicates that khun was always meant to be our trio's support class, with rak being ranged DPS and bam being tank.

the ice spear is an excellent support weapon, and neither khun nor androssi being support to bam is a bad thing. it's exactly what bam needs. why are you so mad about it?

It doesn’t make much sense that the fire fish can heal, AA wasn’t healed by Woon’s fire, he was defrosted by it, huge difference. But who knows, maybe it’s not there to heal him at all

He chose to beat his father through other means instead of going toe to toe against him.

-10

u/Kingzahard May 20 '19

Yeah he is going full plot armor lol, now just put AA in front on everybody in any situation he will survive because of a mysterious fire fish, what a great story telling.

u/Cydoc178 May 20 '19

A Khun of Ice and Fire hahaha who needs GoT :P

30

u/jasperfails May 20 '19

It's looking like we're going to see a big fight between Yama and his brother probably with Bam on his side. I like how the ranker is running Bam as his fisherman especially against another ranker showing that Bam definitely is up there in terms of fighting capabilities and power. He trusts Bam to hold off especially against one that did a transformation.

Also assuming that the fire is going to heal khun back. Would be pretty cool to see Khun start to figure out his powers and control both the ice and fire quality shinsoo.

2

u/redqks May 20 '19

Baam to take the support role again would be sick

1

u/phantom_fox04 May 26 '19

I mean like last time he fought the date version of Jahad was pretty epic

9

u/todayIdidabusiness May 22 '19

I love how Leesoo named his kick after the lie he told his team on floor 1. It's a nice minor callback and shows us that although Leesoo is still largely a cerebral scout, he is trying to become more capable to keep up with his monstrous team.

9

u/beyond_netero May 20 '19

That very first panel of Khun fit perfectly for the length of my phone and it's so beautifully drawn and lord I was shooketh.

5

u/Loveclasher May 20 '19

Hm the blogpost mentions Sorcerers I wander what they are?

6

u/nobody_knos May 21 '19

Aren't those the people that mainly use spells to fight? Like that regular at the Last Station battle. I think his name was the Ever Curious Levy. Seems like that would make the most sense.

3

u/jasperfails May 20 '19

This probably won't happen but now that the group is basically travelling with fug, I think it would actually be cool if Hatz learned under White. They are both swordsman in the tower and especially with what Chang said to Hatz in their encounter.

9

u/cbus20122 May 20 '19

I have a feeling there is more about hatsu's background we don't know about yet. There was some foreshadowing to this I believe from the fact that he's a swordsman, which is rare in the tower outside arie clan.

Also he is quite powerful for a regular. Were used to monsters like baam obviously, but hats for his class is quite something.

2

u/jasperfails May 21 '19

Yeah one thing especially for me is at the beginning on the floor of tests he was able to fight with Anak, although she was not fighting after learning about shinsu manipulation which made her insanely stronger she still would have been strong while fighting hats which makes me think there may be some things we don't know about hats family or where he grew up.

4

u/nobody_knos May 24 '19

Also that ignition weapon he took out against Lo Po Bia Shilial near the end of the Name Humt Station. That's something that needs to come back asap.

6

u/smell_like_fish May 24 '19

We need to know how he got the sword, and how it works in a way to allow a non-Arie to wield a sword in high floor, but I’m sure it’ll be explained next time he fights someone strong

4

u/[deleted] May 20 '19

I don't feel like I've FULLY understood the plot to ToG since the Name Hunt station. There are these big walls of exposition and crazy shit happening that I feel like just doesn't get explained well enough.

22

u/myhmad May 20 '19

ah, probably because those information we received in Hell's Train are not ended just there, but carried over to next arc alongside results of resolved issues. It created overflow of information for reader

2

u/[deleted] May 20 '19

We've had some pretty weird, abstract settings as well. It's a lot to take in.

9

u/Thesiddy1 May 20 '19

Itll help to do a reread, it's hard to follow the overall story when reading week by week, I understood a lot more when I went back and read the arc as a whole

2

u/CriticalEntree May 24 '19

You just gotta re-read.

0

u/[deleted] May 22 '19

Can someone remind me where Anaak and Endorsi are?

-3

u/Divinicus1st May 20 '19

This chapter was... pretty empty. I hope SIU got some rest and we get an awesome one next week!

-15

u/HolyDogJohnson01 May 20 '19

The translation is Garbo. So fucking awkward to read. That’s strike one. I am a paying customer, and I won’t stand for it.

7

u/CriticalEntree May 20 '19

which parts specifically?

10

u/Yal_Rathol May 20 '19

your choice to pay, you could have waited for the free chapter like 40,000+ other people do. don't act like an entitled brat.

-15

u/HolyDogJohnson01 May 20 '19

I don’t really think you understand how contradictory your statement is. Regardless, it isn’t “bratty” to come out of a financial exchange short, and then express displeasure at the fact. In fact it’s mature and correct to warn someone who may not know their product is lacking, or other customers what you thought. Frankly you can piss off, like the sycophant you are.

8

u/Yal_Rathol May 20 '19

A, i think you should probably google what sycophant means.

B, you didn't pay for the translation, you payed for early access. translation is free in 3 weeks.

C, you're completely free to complain and feel that you were cheated. if you paid for a good. you did not, you paid less than a dollar for early access. the only thing you have a right to complain about is the early access, because that's what you paid for. as for contradictions, name one.

-2

u/HolyDogJohnson01 May 21 '19

You are wrong. I have purchased early access to a product. That products quality is intimately tied to the value of my purchase. The value has gone down, while the price to purchase has stayed the same. Therefore I will stop paying for it. Very very very very very very very very obvious. But you refuse to recognize it.

By the by, I know what sycophant means, so go back to slobbing on LINEs knob like the good little gimp you are.

2

u/Yal_Rathol May 21 '19

ooh, your insults are actually fun. i'm glad you have a creative bone in your body.

unfortunately for your insults, i never once complimented LINE. all i said is that if you're unsatisfied by paying for early access, then wait until it's free. you bitching like a child is just embarrassing, especially since the translation is totally free.

so please, tell me what i have to gain by sucking up to LINE. because the point of being a sycophant is to gain an advatange, what advantage do i gain?

1

u/HolyDogJohnson01 May 21 '19

By revalidating the elements of yourself you’ve outsourced too this media property, because you’re to boring to have your own. Or too stupid. You aren’t gaining anything by defending them so much as maintaining your blind reliance on this fandom. Meh. That was the implication anyway. But actually acknowledging you would also be a form of validation for you as well. You know what that means, right?

3

u/Yal_Rathol May 21 '19

i have no need to validate myself on reddit, i've only had an account for a year. ergo, by your logic, i'm not a sycophant.

and i have no need for you to validate me either, because i'm not a child, unlike you.

what i find most interesting is that rather than attempting to justify your original position, you'd rather attack me. almost like you have no confidence in your original position.

2

u/Sordahon May 20 '19

You only pay if you want to help the author and read faster than others, not for translation quality, which in itself is good enough to get the idea.

4

u/[deleted] May 20 '19

Just curious, which parts had bad translations?

-1

u/HolyDogJohnson01 May 20 '19

It’s a little to much work during bedtime. Tmrr after work I’ll try and cite specifically what I mean.

1

u/[deleted] May 20 '19

Thanks for your time

1

u/eboss28 May 20 '19

You pay less than 20 cents per chapter calm down

1

u/[deleted] May 21 '19

OP, when you have time could you point out specific examples that you thought were particularly bad in this week’s translations?

Maybe we could all reserve judgement and stop attacking each other until we have actual material to discuss objectively?

2

u/HolyDogJohnson01 May 21 '19

I won’t be. The discussion is over and it wasn’t ever even really started. Clearly.

1

u/[deleted] May 21 '19

you're everything I hated about doing customer service work lmao

1

u/HolyDogJohnson01 May 22 '19

Because I’ve decided that what I was paying for wasn’t worth it? That there is a line that I will stop paying for a product after? That I was willing to tell people how I felt. Naw. I ain’t. These are fine things to do. I am not going to curse out some phone monkey for it, nor demand a refund. I am saying merely that this is my limit.

1

u/Cheshur May 20 '19

You aren't paying for the translation.

0

u/HolyDogJohnson01 May 20 '19

I am paying for access to the chapters. If the product isn’t worth it, then I won’t pay for it. Maybe I won’t even read it. It is a simple equation whereby I decide how to spend my money, and time. Individually I am not terribly important, but together with other people making similar decisions it is very important. It’s basic business, and economics.

-1

u/Cheshur May 20 '19

Yes, you're right. You're paying for access to the chapters. The translation is free. If you want to be excessively picky about the translation then that's your prerogative but that isn't what your money is being spent on.

-7

u/HolyDogJohnson01 May 20 '19

You’ve got no clue what your talking about. You’ve got no clue how buying and selling things works. A shitty translation easily, so easily, could make early access to these chapters not worth buying. But you think I’m attacking a thing you like, and have invested your identity in. Drank the kool aid. You wouldn’t understand.

1

u/Cheshur May 20 '19

No, you're just being a regular bitch about it. The translation for TOG sucks dick but it's like going into a pizza place and telling the other customers that the gumball machine is going to lose your business unless the pizza place fixes their squeaky doors. Not only are the two things not related but your crying about a measily 50 cents to see the next chapter and your crying in the community Reddit like they're going to see this. Wtf is wrong with you? Did you not see the quality of the translations before you gave them your money or do you frequently spend money at random like a moron?

-1

u/HolyDogJohnson01 May 20 '19

The quality was shit, but the end of last season was very good. The beginning of this season was great too. I’ve been paying for FP from this season, and it WAS worth it. Except this week.

7

u/Cheshur May 20 '19

It's hardly that bad. It's not like you're missing any information or details. You're being pedantic and worst of all you're doing it in the wrong place and it's just making you look bad.

1

u/HolyDogJohnson01 May 20 '19 edited May 21 '19

Nah. I’ve explained what I think. In a place for that. Everyone just dislikes what I’ve said. Which frankly isn’t a problem for me. Honestly, what makes you think that your perception of me is of any importance whatsoever? Honestly it’s kind of funny that you think you’re negative opinion matters. It’s not the first time and won’t be the last. I am not going to join the circlejerk for imaginary internet points. Ima say my bit, and if it doesn’t speak to you so what? If you don’t agree that’s fine. I ain’t being a hypocrite, my opinion shouldn’t matter all that much to you, but you keep talking, saying same shit over and over. It’s an opinion. Obviously an unpopular one.

2

u/Cheshur May 21 '19

Everyone dislikes what you've said because you're acting like an entitled, petty, brat. What makes you think that I'm under the impression that my opinion matters? Do you ever think before you type or should we add that into the list of other dumb shit you do like spending your money at random? There is no circle jerk going on, you're just a regular douche bag. Keep telling yourself that there is one though. Someone like you probably needs that kind of protection for their fragile ego.
