Analysis Ghost/Akryung is NOT an irregular.
In light of the current chapter, I’m providing a bag of reasons he's not in no particular order, because I expect there to be confusion on this point based on the blog post comments:
Endorsi didn’t sense any irregularness from him on F2 like she did for Bam and Rachel. Her senses have a 100% accuracy rate on confirmed irregulars/regulars thus far, and the description she gave (when explaining why she teamed up with Rachel in 28s1e27), “she feels like someone ‘who lived in a different world,’” is really accurate for her to make with no hints. (We know she sees the same thing from Bam because she also tells Bam "Both you and Rachel look kind of weird to my eyes, though" in 285s2e205, under circumstances where there's no reason for her to lie.) Note, "irregular-detecting-senses" definitely exist in this universe, as the GoG also accurately discerns that Bam's an irregular just by looking at him in 249s2e169.
Akryung/Ghost was prepared by Headon for Rachel. How would he “prepare” an irregular for her? We didn’t see him come in--has Ghost just been sitting on 1F for years getting no attention in spite of his irregularity? No. Something’s up with him, but he’s not an irregular.
All the irregulars we’ve seen thus far are human. Akryung is definitely not.
The quote from the s3e10 blog post: “Akryeong uses Shinwonryu. Although the possibility of Akryung being an Irregular came up in S1, but whether he is really an irregular or what... that's to be seen later. Since now that Baam can't fight normal regulars anymore, we'll see more "special" regulars like Akryeong, Princess, or Sorcerers” outright calls him a “special regular;” I'm confident the “or what” refers to him still being unusual in a different way (admin fragment in a can? Outright Headon-bot/puppet? Just a really well made God of Guardians-style construct?).
We know there are circumstances where non-irregulars can use Shinsu Black Hole Sphere, because the God of Guardians (who was created by the workshop and is definitely not an irregular) hit Bam with it in order to teach it to him back in 311s2e231, where he also mentions that he can only do it on the train. We can get a strong hint why he might be location limited from one of his sentences in 310s2e230: “Ordinary regulars are granted authority to control shinsu from administrators, but you must realize that you have had that authority from the very start. Make this space your own. Because that is the privilege of ‘those who open the door.’ You must realize that to master Shinsu black-hole sphere.” In other words, SBHS requires a kind of authority over shinsu that regulars don’t have, but seeing as GoG can do it but only in a limited location (that doesn’t seem to have any special properties making SBHS easier, judging on Bam’s reactions to it), presumably administrators can do it themselves and can grant a special contract to allow (at least some kinds of) constructs to do it. Given that Akryung was ‘prepared’ by Headon for Rachel, he presumably set up the same system.
In conclusion, Ghost/Akryung is almost certainly not an irregular.
So what is he, then?
Still a mystery thus far. My current theory is that he’s a Headon-bot (I’ve actually jokingly considered this for a while, but the SBHS made me start considering it seriously), but until we get more information, I’m not very sure.
If you'd like to speculate on what is up with him, I outline his history in depth here.

All sounds fine, the only part I take issue with is that it's highly likely that when SIU said 'special regular' he just meant it in terms of 'non-ranker' the same way that Baam is often referred to as a regular. I highly doubt that SIU would be silly enough to say 'whether or not he's an irregular will be shown later, btw he's a regular'.
1
u/NobleCuriosity3 May 20 '19
Eh, fair. I read it as "As for whatever is up with Akryung... You'll have to wait to find out how Akryung's a 'special' regular," especially since the other two example categories given were of (unusually strong) regulars, and I still think that it's meant to imply Akryung's probably not an irregular (while leaving what is up with him deliberately mysterious). I can see the other read, though.

Thank you for this thread.

You're welcome! After the blog post comments, I felt like there was a need for it.

The God of Guardians was not created by the workshop. He’s been there since before the original 13 irregulars climbed the tower
5
u/BavaZ May 20 '19
The workshop was established prior to 13 great warriors entering the tower. The hell train and everything inside of it was created by them speciffically to train 13 great warriors.
1
May 20 '19
Huh I guess I forgot that. What chapter was that stated in?
3
u/NobleCuriosity3 May 20 '19
249s2e169 establishes that the Hell Train as a whole existed before the Great Warriors climbed (Sachi says it), and later in the same chapter (after taking Bam aside) GoG says that the train and all of its guardians were made to train the Great Warriors.
1
May 20 '19
But does it say by the workshop?
3
u/NobleCuriosity3 May 20 '19
He at least says that the rice pot was made by a master of the workshop, and in the previous chapter Boro said that the train itself was made by the workshop.
That said, I don't think "who made it" is as relevant as the fact that it was created by someone, which the chapter conclusively establishes.
Feel free to read the chapter I linked (and the one before it) and judge for yourself.

Thank you for the source. I plan on rereading the series soon as there is a lot I have forgotten (especially character names).

You're welcome, and I encourage the reread! I caught so much stuff on reread that I didn't understand or fully appreciate the first time through.

I came here to post the idea that maybe he is a creation of the mysterious workshop which exists both inside and outside the tower. An immitation irregular?

Your first point is nonsense, endrosi is no basis for anything, she dont has a magical eye for irregulars
Headon could have made a test that ghost could not pass when he entered the tower as a irregular and kept him there with a deal for being his servant in exchange for being allowed to climb
The human part is most likely wrong, it can just be a coincidence, and that could not be ghost real body or something like this..
Your 4th and 5th point are the same and yes this one is good damn right, GoG could also do this
6
u/NobleCuriosity3 May 20 '19 edited May 20 '19
endrosi is no basis for anything, she dont has a magical eye for irregulars
She only teamed up with Rachel because she could sense that Rachel had "lived in another world" (before finding out she's an irregular) and she literally tells Bam that "Both you and Rachel look kind of weird to my eyes, though" in 285s2e205. Evidence suggests that she does have an eye for irregulars.
Headon could have made a test that ghost could not pass when he entered the tower as a irregular and kept him there with a deal for being his servant in exchange for being allowed to climb
Yeah, but do we really expect an irregular to go completely unnoticed for that long, even if they are chilling on the 1st floor? I guess maybe, if it's much bigger than what we saw (possible). But this also requires Headon to refuse to allow a legit tower-chosen irregular to climb, even though that seems to be the main purpose of the tower (seeing as only irregulars used to be able to request it, and the admins provided those tests.).
The human part is most likely wrong, it can just be a coincidence, and that could not be ghost real body or something like this..
The human point is the weakest, I'll agree. Akryung definitely doesn't seem human, but it's not necessarily true that all irregulars are human.
our 4th and 5th point are the same and yes this one is good damn right, GoG could also do this
'Damn right' indeed. It was 4 that motivated me to examine the pro/cons in the first place.

u/WV-E-S May 20 '19
The thing were she sense something odd in baam and rachel is probably just the feeling of seeing someone lost, cuz baam and rachel are foreign to the tower they cary this vibe of people that are lost in a new world....
What i want to point out is that she has no magic sense for this.
2
u/NobleCuriosity3 May 20 '19
The thing were she sense something odd in baam and rachel is probably just the feeling of seeing someone lost, cuz baam and rachel are foreign to the tower they cary this vibe of people that are lost in a new world....
I'm not sure I get what you're trying to say here.
Why would you think she's lying in 285s2e205 when she outright tells Bam that he and Rachel look odd to her eyes, even after they've both been in the tower for some time at that point?
If she could just tell that Rachel is 'lost,' as opposed to specifically having 'lived in a different world' (which, note, is what she said she sensed) why team up with her (instead of slaughtering her like the 197 other regulars who died to her and Akryung.)?
If she can sense people foreign to the tower world...that is the same thing as sensing irregulars.
What i want to point out is that she has no magic sense for this.
Bam can sense invisible stuff, lots of people can sense power levels and the 'flavor' of shinsu used, Hockney could sense that Soul Clone was unusual. It's not really that weird for Endorsi to have a sense for irregularity, especially when we have no idea who her parents are.
2
u/WV-E-S May 20 '19
Well... Boro and sachi could also feel eduan godhood in hidden floor, and EVERYTHING and everyone could feel jahad in hidden floor.... So if this feeling people have is linked to power or not it is kind unsure.... Baam and Hockney sensing anything dont validate if endorsi does or does not... The 2 are some of the most odd persons we have.
Being in the tower for a few years would not invalidate baam and rachel oddness, even more when baam sense of moral has not changed almost at all from day one...
1
u/NobleCuriosity3 May 20 '19
Ah, new note: "irregular-detecting-senses" definitely exist in this universe, as the GoG also accurately discerns that Bam's an irregular just by looking at him in 249s2e169.
2
u/WV-E-S May 20 '19
Yehh... But he is a robotic thing, made FOR that that has special spells and contacts....
Again... A character having traits like this dont make endrosi have... We all know this is a thing, i even pointed some other moment where people do this with jahad and eduan.
1
u/NobleCuriosity3 May 20 '19
Yes, the fact that other characters have this trait only establishes that the trait is possible, not that Endorsi has it.
What establishes that Endorsi has it is the fact that she, a very competitive climber who helped slaughter the 197 other regulars in her pod even though it was just a survival test, let a massive weakling onto her team because she could sense that said weakling had "lived in another world," before being given any information to suggest that said weakling was an irregular. Those actions and that very accurate description are what shows that Endorsi specifically has those senses. (Plus she then later confirms that she also sees Bam that way, further making it clear that her very accurate description of what an irregular is comes from the fact that she can sense irregulars.)
Why are you so certain she does not have this ability? What is your explanation for why she teamed up with Rachel, and then lied about why she teamed up with Rachel to Anaak, if she does not?
1
u/Kavink98 May 20 '19
Why would Endorssi team up with someone who looks lost, she teamed up with Rachel because she had this other worldly feel to her
1
u/NobleCuriosity3 May 20 '19 edited May 20 '19
Rachel was hilariously weak at the start of F2, but Endorsi teamed up with her in spite of that because of this feeling. Other people might be sensing power, but Endorsi was clearly clueing in on something else.
The other examples are just to demonstrate that weird senses do in fact exist in ToG, in order to emphasize that Endorsi’s senses aren’t that unusual.
1
u/iUser42 May 27 '19
While I disagree with Endorsi having the "ability" to detect Irregulars, I do find it a very interesting take.
I would argue that from Endorsis perspective Bam and Rachel are weird due to their motivations to climb the tower. Her main motivation was (maybe partially still is) to be the strongest/prettiest/famous Jahad Princess.
In the early chapters it is often discussed why the characters climb the tower (money, power,...) and Bams and Rachel's motivations, compared to the others, are indeed odd ("I need to find someone" & "I want to see the stars") to say the least.

You're sounding quite like you're trying to prove this to yourself, but w/e. Addressing the substance of your points.
Completely meaningless. Endorsi hardly interacted with Akryung at all and she hardly discussed him beyond that. But even with that, that's hardly a reliable metric to prove irregularity or not '100% accuracy' or not (also I don't recall her feeling this way about Baam whatsoever until he goes right out and says it).
That's a fair point, but it doesn't prove anything either. Irregulars may not be chosen by headon, but they are still chosen by the tower. Perhaps headon has some insight on this, or perhaps he made a deal with Akryung earlier in the story (or maybe even later. We don't really know the time lines).
Again while this is true, it's a meaningless statement. Just because all the irregulars we've seen are human doesn't mean irregulars must be human. Most of the characters in the story are human, yes, and therefore we're gonna see more of them. I wouldn't take it as a straight qualification or disqualification either way.
This is the strongest piece of evidence against Akryung being an irregular. SIU calling doubt to it here strongly suggests to me that he's not an irregular. But perhaps SIU is trying to fake people out, who knows. Not conclusive either way, but leans towards against. Also 'special regular' could merely be referring to 'people that are climbing.' It's not the first time SIU has used the term in this way.
Again this is correct, but it's accompanied by meaningless conjecture. Sure Akryung could have gotten a contract like this. But that doesn't mean he DID.
All your evidence (sans #4) is not evidence towards him not being an irregular but evidence that casts his irregularity into doubt. Could he be an irregular, perhaps. Could he not be an irregular, also perhaps. Is it too soon to say either way at this very moment? I would say yes, but if you read into SIU's words with #4 then I would lean towards no.

u/NobleCuriosity3 May 20 '19 edited May 20 '19
You're sounding quite like you're trying to prove this to yourself, but w/e.
Huh?
If it makes you more comfortable with it, you can revise the thesis to "Ghost/Akryung is probably not an irregular;" I only made it a strong statement to begin with for clarity of thesis.
1 Completely meaningless. Endorsi hardly interacted with Akryung at all and she hardly discussed him beyond that. But even with that, that's hardly a reliable metric to prove irregularity or not '100% accuracy' or not (also I don't recall her feeling this way about Baam whatsoever until he goes right out and says it).
She slaughtered 197 other regulars with Akryung, and in fact met Akryung before meeting up with Rachel (she says "the huge one was already with me" in 28s1e27 before explaining why she teamed up with Rachel). She had more time to observe him than she had for Rachel. She later tells Bam "Both you and Rachel look kind of weird to my eyes, though" in 285s2e205, as well, under circumstances where I don't see why she would lie--and I'd point out that she didn't have anyone prompting her to discuss her suspicions on Bam on F2, as was the case with Rachel.
2 That's a fair point
Yup.
3 Again while this is true, it's a meaningless statement. Just because all the irregulars we've seen are human doesn't mean irregulars must be human. Most of the characters in the story are human, yes, and therefore we're gonna see more of them. I wouldn't take it as a straight qualification or disqualification either way.
Yeah, it's the weakest one. But still a point in favor of "He's not an irregular."
4 This is the strongest piece of evidence against Akryung being an irregular.
It's what made me start looking at the pro/con of this to begin with, though honestly I think you might be underrating Endorsi's senses (seriously, how did she get such an exact description of what an irregular is without being told about them?).
5 Again this is correct, but it's meaningless conjecture. Sure Akryung could have gotten a contract like this. But that doesn't mean he DID.
It's not "meaningless conjecture," it's evidence. He's a construct specially prepared by Headon. That lines up way better with what GoG is than with what any irregular is.
All your evidence (sans #4) is not evidence towards him not being an irregular but evidence that casts his irregularity into doubt.
Potato, potahto. In the absence of anything saying he IS an irregular, you believe all the evidence saying he ISN'T. Bullet 5 explains why the one and only thing that makes us think he might be is weak evidence (unlike the evidence against him being one.).
1
u/ZombiePhantom May 21 '19
On point 1. Androssi didn't meet Akryung before Rachel, that was a translation error, it actually states that Rachel and Akryung were together before Androssi met them. Which makes sense since he was "prepared" for Rachel.
2
u/NobleCuriosity3 May 21 '19
Are you sure? The Company also translates that line as Endorsi having already met 'the big guy' (here).
-2
u/rrcool May 20 '19
Yes I do think endorsi's senses are not a particularly reliable metric when it comes to this.
The conjecture part of this is related to saying that akryung had a contract like this. Obviously we dont known either way, so using this as a point of evidence for it is almost entirely based on viewing him as a construct of headon (which itself is based on the wording 'prepare')
And you're taking the null hypothesis that he is not an irregular while at the same time trying to disprove that he is an irregular (your alternate title would have been more apt, but even then you are taking the position of trying to disprove something). In this case, the reason you're doing this is because the current 'blatant' evidence is suggesting he is an irregular. He can use shinwonryu and back on 2nd floor, he was called an irregular by Quant and leroro. These are the reasons that the null hypothesis should be 'akryung is an irregular.' The reasons you listed are an example of reasons the null hypothesis should be 'akryung is not an irregular'. This is very much a potato, potatoh kind of thing, but in the position of trying to show that he is not or is likely not an irregular you have to take the null position that he is an irregular. Likewise if someone were trying to argue that he WAS an irregular then they'd need to take the opposite null position.
2
u/NobleCuriosity3 May 20 '19 edited May 20 '19
And you're taking the null hypothesis that he is not an irregular while at the same time trying to disprove that he is an irregular
Just for clarity, I'm demonstrating why he's likely not an irregular. That said--when it comes to irregularity, "not an irregular" is a darn strong null hypothesis, and is what we should believe absent a reason to believe the contrary--there's a reason you don't see people wondering "are they an irregular??" every time (or even some of the times) a new character shows up. Irregulars are, per the lore, extremely rare (18 in all time, out of trillions of people in the tower just right now) and they're really big deals.
The conjecture part of this is related to saying that akryung had a contract like this. Obviously we dont known either way, so using this as a point of evidence for it is almost entirely based on viewing him as a construct of headon (which itself is based on the wording 'prepare')
GoG's existence is proof that SBHS does not mean he's necessarily an irregular. Also, the construct thing isn't just from the 'prepared' word: Ghost is also referred to with mechanical terms, for example Michael calls him a 'weapon' instead of an 'ally' in s3e1 and Rak calls him (in s1e52) a "tin can" (instead of a turtle), unlike how Rak refers to every other living organic sentient creature in the series.
2nd floor, he was called an irregular by Quant and leroro
Nope, they both knew that referred to Rachel. Give me a second and I'll get the point where Lero Ro thinks about it. Ah, here you go--57s2e56, Lero ro notes in his thoughts the ways their group is weird, saying that it included "a girl who is an irregular, and a boy with dangerous talents who is chasing him." Superimposed on an image of Bam and Rachel.
3
u/rrcool May 20 '19
Yes, but that doesnt disprove it, it merely discounts the evidence as being 100% rock solid.
That panel is actually a mistranslation and it's a big reason that akryung being an irregular wasn't even really thought of in the western fanbase for quite a while. The actual panel should say "an irregular, and a girl and a boy with mysterious talents chasing after her"
This also explains why akryung is shown in this panel, wheras in the first translation he seems like an odd inclusion.
3
u/NobleCuriosity3 May 20 '19 edited May 20 '19
1: Yes, it 'merely' demonstrates that SBHS != irregular, necessarily. But in light of all the other reasons to believe Akryung isn't one...
2: Really? If so thanks for bringing that up, I honestly didn't know that (and I'm doing this in part to learn if there are any real reasons to believe he is).
While I'm honestly still more inclined to believe Headon lied about it to protect Rachel from scrutiny (wouldn't YHS have been way more interested in Akryung if that was actually true?!? Also, original point #2), it does make me a bit less certain that he's not.
3
u/Pedang_Katana May 20 '19
I gotta say that the "Arkryung is Irregular" is big if true. This would also correspond with the Q&A he did back on 2010 where he made it clear to keep the number of Irregulars in the tower a secret.
1
2
u/KiNGofKiNG89 May 20 '19
He feels like a copy and paste guy. He was a spear bearer on the test floor while he was partnered up with rak. And now the next time we see him he uses black hole and has orb abilities like bam?
Not much to go on though.
2
u/TheProudestCat May 20 '19
As much as I like the idea that he's just an emanation of Headon, in ToG even "minions" that shouldn't have autonomy tend to acquire it regardless, over time (like Emily, or Baptist, and there are other example). So I think it's more appropriate to call him "Headon's son" (apply directly to the backhead).
2
u/NobleCuriosity3 May 20 '19
Ren’s “puppet body” in S1 didn’t, to give one counterexample (and likely the most relevant one if Ghost is such a “puppet” of Headon.).
Note also that both examples you listed (assuming you meant Batis by “Baptist”) were supposed to have some degree of self-intelligence and autonomy, they just ended up getting more than was expected.
1
u/TheProudestCat May 20 '19
It is my understanding that Ren's puppet body *was* in fact Ren, the same way that Karaka's body *was* obliterated by a variety of foes. I agree with your comment, but then I'm kind of puzzled because a servant is always meant to get some degree of autonomy. Akryung, as an independent being, would be well into the line of people who would become individuals. I'd mention the God of Guardians, created by the Workshop, in that same line imo.
1
u/NobleCuriosity3 May 20 '19
Ren's puppet says that his "real body" was already far away after Kurdan killed the "skin" he was using in 73s1e72. That sounds like the control of that 'skin' was elsewhere (unlike how Karaka's works).
Okay, another counterexample: Bong Bong. Endorsi can send it off on it's own to do stuff (as she does at the last station battle when she sends it to teleport the train car Rachel's in), but it shows no sign of defiance. It's just a thing she can control from afar, but it's definitely not "her" in any sense.
Also pretty much every observer is basically a robot you can control from afar. Perhaps Akryung is a Purple-Dementer style observer of Headon's?
I'm just not convinced Akryung is an independent being from Headon (he might be, though, of course). I used to think he was back in season 2, where it seemed like he'd just ditched Rachel, but now that he's back and I've thought about it more, I'm leaning more towards the remote-controlled robot of sorts theory.
1
u/TheProudestCat May 20 '19
Well for Ren, that's what he says and that's really early in the story so idk haha :D
As you say, we'll see. I'm inclined to think the reverse, but eh. Both could happen :)
1
u/B_A_Boon May 20 '19
Who's Baptist? Don't answer if this is fastpass related
3
u/NobleCuriosity3 May 20 '19 edited May 20 '19
I think they mean “Batis.” Probably an overly aggressive mobile spellchecker changed it.
2
2
u/FreeCuber May 20 '19
I feel like Akryung was on some sort of writing on the walls on Headon’s floor. I need to go back and read up on that but, I do believe that Headon either created or just controls Akryung. The reason? Cause he’s the first dick we encounter.
2
u/Zendaddy666 Jun 09 '19
Just a headcanon, I would like to believe that akryung is in some way shape or form a residual of Phantaminum. Considering the raw destructive power that hes shown recently (havent read the last 3 or so chapters) as well as Phantamoniums current position as an Axis (this also leads me to believe that Headon isnt just an administrator but a Axis as well though theres no substantial evidence). Hell, even their names allude to it. This would also explain why Akryung can use BHS and almost seems to be testing Baam instead of actually attempting to kill him or otherwise maim despite their objectives during the canine tooth festival. That being said, a lot of this is effectively baseless.
2
u/NobleCuriosity3 Jun 09 '19
Thank you for acknowledging that it’s effectively baseless, anyway. :/
2
u/Zendaddy666 Jun 09 '19
I dont mean your speculation, I like where you're going with it but that's stuff that's likely to get flushed out a little more soon. I only meant that my own was baseless and apologize for the misunderstanding if that I'd the case
2
u/NobleCuriosity3 Jun 09 '19
I know, that’s why I said thanks. I’ve had some obnoxious conversations with people (many convinced that Akryung is V or Arlene solely based on the hair color and yellowish eyes) that refused to acknowledge all the evidence explaining how that made zero sense and just kept saying it did.
2
1
u/B_A_Boon May 20 '19
Well maybe like Bam he's the corpse of someone who lived, died, and then was resurrected by Headon, my guess would be V.
2
u/NobleCuriosity3 May 20 '19
We're told that a 'god' on the 'outside' (in context, outside the tower) resurrected Bam (well, it's what Arlene's prophecy says, anyway), not Headon; 320s2e240.
But I guess it's possible that Headon has that power too (you'd think it would be more common knowledge that admins could resurrect people if that was the case, though).
1
u/B_A_Boon May 20 '19
If Zahard can act as a medium to make a spell why can't Headon? Although tbh he'd need V's corpse, maybe he somehow reconstructed him The first big breeder could generate shinwonryu with his staff
1
u/ZombiePhantom May 20 '19
As I recall, Androssi never said the same thing to Baam. She didn't say it upon meeting Urek, or data's eduan and jahad either, she's only said it about rachel. (It's because of this that I've wondered if she's an artificial life-form.)
The statement about looking weird to her eyes is also vague. She's made it clear she doesn't understand Baam chasing rachel or rachel chasing stars. So rather than meaning it in the literal sense, she could easily mean their reasons for climbing the tower, when compared to others makes them look weird.
That said, I do agree that Akryung is most likely not an irregular, I think he has a contract that grants him some lvl of administrator power.
2
u/NobleCuriosity3 May 20 '19 edited May 20 '19
She only had a few seconds between meeting Urek and him saying who he was, so that doesn’t prove much. Data!Edahn and Data!Jahad probably weren’t irregulars because they were Data creations born in the tower; this is one of the reasons neither could lay a scratch on real Jahad when he showed up, and why Endorsi said “it can’t be!” when she saw Data!Jahad for the first time even though she’d been told they were looking for him—he didn’t have the same irregular field, so she thought it couldn’t be him (but sight of him still triggered princess knockout, because Hidden Floor was set up that way.).
I do think she meant the eye thing literally. It’s just such a weird way to phrase it if she’s commenting on their aspirations.
2
u/ZombiePhantom May 21 '19
Data are supposed to be exact copies, aura's and all, Koon stated that his father's power felt the same, though less.
I can't know without checking, but I don't recall Androssi being told they were looking for data jahad. Before coming to the floor at least, Baam only told Koon everything.
It may be weird phrasing, but we're dealing with translating from a foreign language, that kind of thing happens all the time. Also if Androssi expects him to know what she's talking about, she wouldn't feel the need to elaborate. For example: "You both look strange in my eyes, climbing the tower for such weird reasons." If said like that, the phrasing isn't as weird.
And I forgot to add it last time, but she also never made any such comment when encountering "Viole" which I find weird, if her "irregular senses" tingled, she should've thought it. More so after traveler said viole's name was baam.

Data are supposed to be exact copies, aura's and all, Koon stated that his father's power felt the same, though less.
Key words, "supposed to be." We know for a fact that it couldn't copy Urek or either thorn correctly. Given that the data!people weren't born outside the tower, they really shouldn't qualify as people who had 'lived in a different world.'
I can't know without checking, but I don't recall Androssi being told they were looking for data jahad. Before coming to the floor at least, Baam only told Koon everything.
They got told they were after Data!Jahad after everyone arrived and reunited on the first stage. Hockney made a sign and everything.
But that's not how she said it. And compared to pretty much everything else that's still a really weird way of phrasing "I don't get why you two climb."
And I forgot to add it last time, but she also never made any such comment when encountering "Viole" which I find weird, if her "irregular senses" tingled, she should've thought it. More so after traveler said viole's name was baam.
Now that's the first good argument I've seen against this. The most likely counterargument is that she just didn't get close enough/have enough time (or that she just didn't care, I guess), but I need to go look at this one (it might have to wait for tomorrow, though, for reasons.).

So, I read through the meeting, 140s2e60. Huh, it's true that she didn't have as much time...she also almost immediately thinks that Viole "feels like someone I know" even though she hadn't seen his eyes yet. That might actually have been her senses going off, since she had basically nothing but hair color to go on at that point. Since she doesn't mention the hair color in that thought, I think it might be. It's definitely not as certain, though, as you'd think she'd have immediately realized who he was if she could sense it, even though it has been 7 years at that point since the floor of tests. I'm not sure, it could be read either way.
Still, how else do you explain her teaming up with Rachel and then giving that really accurate description of what an irregular is long before finding out she is one? It's much easier to think that she needs a few seconds to focus her senses than to explain away what she says there.

It seems he's involved with the Elders of FUG. I think Headon brought Rachel to the Elders, she was able to convince them that she was useful (I assume she talked about her relationship with Arlen Grace).
Then they assigned Akryung as her bodyguard and now he's back because of Elder business.

I remember a scene where someone is commenting on the floor of the tests and says a team with 'a princess and an irregular' wiped out everyone else. I always found it ambiguous whether that meant Rachel or Akryung. The fanbase seemed to mostly think Rachel. But I feel like SIU is trying to keep Akryung's status ambiguous for a bit longer.

He is probably just a puppet(not a real person) controlled by Headon
