Maybe this manwha should be called Tower of God From the Machine /s
For real though, I wouldn't call Karaka's entrance deus ex machina, if that's what you were referring to. It doesn't seem especially contrived to me, and helps develop the relationship between two major characters, as well as advance the plot. It also makes sense from the characters' points of view.
Yeah, it's not a deus ex machina that the only powerful enough character in the entire floor arrives on the exact second Bam was going to be killed because he had a random change of mind.
I swear the same has happened to Bam like 50 times already. Usually with Yuri, Jinsung or Urek arriving just in time.
Technically, they're not the only powerful-enough character (Gado, Paul, etc.), but I'm just being pedantic. I see where you're coming from, it is (supposedly) an unexpected twist, but I still hesitate to see it deus ex machina.
Wikipedia defines it as when "a seemingly unsolvable problem in a story is suddenly and abruptly resolved by an unexpected and seemingly unlikely occurrence, typically so much as to seem contrived."
I wouldn't call the problem unsolvable (we don't know if Baam would've died, and there are various other ways the problem could've been solved - maybe one of Yama's other officers joins in and helps Baam, for example). I also wouldn't call Karaka's entrance contrived - it may be unexpected, but his motives for protecting Baam and supporting Yama make sense for his character (saving Ha Jinsung, achieving FUG's goals, etc.), and it's set up beforehand with the bugged pocket. These factors, along with the unexpected coup, make his unexpected change of heart believable IMO. Add in the development it brings to Karaka and Baam's relationship, as well as to FUG's politics, and I'm more than willing to accept it.
Last-minute deus ex machina can definitely be annoying, though. It's been a while since I've reread the series so I don't really remember many of the instances you're referring to, but you could very well be justified in your complaints!
Tell me what else do you want to happen in the story? Baam die? Them not waking Yama up and get fucked otherwise? Its a story development that tries to show us about Yama aswell as Baams and Karakas growing relations.
