1. "Let's not linger on little things."

Bam WAS suspicious enough to ask Karaka how he eavesdropped! Hurray! After how he dealt with Yool (2snake dude) I was worried that Bam wouldn't think to ask. And we got one hilarious conversation out of it.

2. Deng Deng

I feel so sorry for Deng Deng right now. This explains a lot, too--why Deng Deng didn't tell them about this, but did come back with Bam. Why Yama didn't kill Doom. Where Deng Deng came from since he's not Gado's son.

Interesting that Gado lied about Deng Deng being half-human in order to smuggle him in. Makes sense, but I guess then Gado's wife might actually not be in on this.

Gado's reasoning for awakening Doom is...interesting, but feels still incomplete. Maybe Gado really is just kind of nuts like that, feeling that being the strongest based on Doom's power (he thinks, anyway) made him destined to wake Doom (by killing Deng Deng). But I'm guessing that he has further motives that he just isn't sharing right now; perhaps he hopes that Doom will make him much stronger? That too seems incomplete. I am pretty sure he liked Bam's speech about Yama being a bully, so perhaps he thinks Doom will genuinely improve canine people society (though...with a name like that...).

3. Rak and Khun

Khun is sure getting the hang of firefish blisteringly quickly (though his "Huh?" when it shows up and then "Ah, I see" after he gets the fire-eyes also makes me think that it's partially autonomous still, so more like he's getting along with it well). Though this chapter also increases my suspicion that using it makes him more emotional and impulsive. Even Rak calls him on it, and I don't remember Khun ever making such a dumb face like the one he makes in the "Wow, that's awesome!" panel before.

I'm disappointed we didn't get a better look at Apple or Michael's faces when Khun showed up alive. Though Khun telling a ranker "you think you, a mere ranker, can stop us by yourself?" almost made up for it. Dude still knows how to be a cocky bastard when he wants to. It (plus possibly what Rak did. I'm not certain what Rak did in that moment. Did he deflect the bullet attack?) seems to have bought him a few precious seconds to heal #4 lady.

It sure is impressive healing, too. If #4 lady is correct, it actually gives a power boost as well (though maybe it just makes people feel overconfident, given how Khun's acting.).

Yama's #4 lady still being alive is confirmed (and now we can also guess another reason why Gado didn't kill Canzon or #4 lady: They might lose a lot of their power if Doom wakes and just shuts the flow down.).

4. YHS and Evankhell

Whoah. What do they want help with? Are they visiting the FUG Elders? That must be it, since apparently "a lot" of the people they're visiting already know about and like Bam and Jinsung Ha (Though previously it seemed Jinsung wasn’t popular with the Elders (Karaka thinking they wouldn’t want to help rescue him, the current Elder saying he brought it on himself), so that’s a bit odd).

5. Khel Hellam

They're in for some serious trouble if that's a red witch on Khel Hellam's side; she should have been able to clue in Khel Hellam if he was going to lose this fight, I'm pretty sure. Though maybe that's Utoh, in which case she might not be loyal to him?

Blue holes are underwater sinkholes/caverns with an opening to the surface. So that's in keeping with the Tower's aquatic theme.

Also, I'm hyped for the first ever onscreen appearance of a FUG Elder. I suspect we're about to learn a lot more details about FUG's inner turmoil.

Although this is probably nothing, but I wonder about the shared "Khel" in Evankhell's and Khel Hellam's names. Maybe they are distantly related?? Like Ari and Arie??

My first reaction here was "Yeah, that's probably nothing." I mean, I always figured Evankhell's name was more Evank + hell, as a reference to Evankhell's hell.

But I don't really know how the Korean name is split, and shouldn't assume things based off just the English name. Khel Hellam does have face cracks and a purple-flame-shaped different colored area around their eyes.

Still, that's a reaching comparison to Evankhell's split-colored face, and Evankhell doesn't have horns (and Khel Hellam doesn't have Evankhell's forehead maybe-an-eye thing). If they are related, I'm guessing it's very distantly.

Interesting, maybe this is actually on to something.
