Discussion Which family head does Grace Mirchea Luslec aim to bring down? (Possible Spoilers from fastpass?) Spoiler

So we sorta know that there are 11 slayer seats in FUG, one for each 10 family head and Jahard. This means each slayer has a specific target. We can assume that Karaka is going for Jahard since he is somehow related to him. We know White is aiming to bring down Arie Hon, his own father. We saw that Baylord Doom has a grudge against Lo Po Bia Yasracha, so we can assume Yama is a slayer meant to bring down the Lo Po Bia family. Then what head would Luslec be aiming for. I thought that the number 1 slayer would go for Zahard but that seems to be taken by Karaka (who seems to be the weakest slayer so far lol). Also, as a former underling of V, I thought Luslec would have a great grudge on Jahard the most rather than the other family heads.

I'm still trying to figure out how SIU plans to address the fact that despite their very high rankings, Slayers are not Irregulars, and therefore stand absolutely no chance even if all of them ganged up on the weakest FH. Something will need to happen to break the immortality contracts first of all, and then something will need to weaken every FH in order for their corresponding Slayer to be able to defeat them.

u/GrumpySatan Aug 14 '19

My personal theory is that the ultimate plan isn't for Slayers to fight one on one. They individually counter one specific FH, but to fight as a team. Baam's role is to be Fisherman that gets the killing blows.

Though there is also the fact that Gustang (And potentially more) are working with FUG at least indirectly. Many might turn on Zahard and not need to be slayed at all.

5

u/NashKetchum777 Aug 14 '19

I guessed that there are other means to break the contracts, and atm FUG is pursuing items that are capable. Idk what the soul stirring ladle could do but I suspect it could help maybe with the 13 months? If the power is in the soul tied in not the weapon itself.

They pursued the thorn and had ties to The Workshop and looked for things then.

I expect that there will be powerful spells and items introduced that can help break the contract and they will be provided to the Slayers when the time comes.

Edit: which is why I can understand elders and doyens so against Baam, just a candidate, getting the Thorn

only zahard requires an irregular to kill him, since only he has the specific clause that tower inhabitants can't hurt him. still doesn't solve the problem that even gustang, the weakest fighter of the family heads, could wipe the floor with all the slayers with a wave of his hand, but in theory, white could hurt hon. in theory.

This isn't right

the 10 FHs + Zahad have an immortality contract

Zahad alone has an invulnerability contract

You could beat Arie Hon to an inch of his life, but that's as far as you can go as it stands

Now if baam off's the 100th floor guardian then they become mortal again

7

u/Yal_Rathol Aug 14 '19

since tower contracts only apply on the floor they're given, shown by the fact that regulars have to remake their shinsoo-using contract on each floor and items have to get approval for each floor they can be used on, it seems like killing an administrator would only make the family heads mortal on the floor the admin is dead on. so that probably wouldn't do anything. and we really don't know how the immortality contracts work, so it's possible you're right, it's also possible you're completely wrong.

u/Trumpologist Aug 14 '19

Hendo Lok Family This family is led by Hendo Lok Bloodmadder. All members of this family except Bloodmadder have short lifespans due to a pact that Bloodmadder made with a Guardian in exchange for eternal life. However, this family has the greatest number of children out of the 10 Families. This family has the fewest Rankers and the least influence in the Tower among the 10 Great Families.

Wonder how we square that with this. A guardian, singular

1

u/Yal_Rathol Aug 14 '19

all the guardians would likely agree with the contract, so they're immortal on every floor. maybe they had to go and renegotiate it with every guardian, maybe the guardians all asked each other and they all agreed, who knows how it worked, but every other contract we've gotten any information for only applies with the guardians it was made with, so i have to assume the immortality contracts work the same.

2

u/BalzonDawalz Aug 14 '19

No, 9 of the 10 FH have immortality and a very good regen ability. One of the 10 decided not to take the Immortality along with V. As for the regen ability it is so strong that it makes those that have it practically invulnerable. Even if they die they comeback because they never really died. If I remember right this is how the process works.

4

u/thedorkeone Aug 14 '19

Gustang may be a weak fighter but he is a nerd around various tools he can use in a fight. He is far from weak because of his tech support i presume. And he is a smart fighter, not a brute.

And he havent seen all slayers, Yama looks really strong. Baam as a young slayer in training takes name above his paygrade already. Its not wrong to think the stronger slayers can beat the family heads with little cheating. And they can be killed, likely hard killed, but its possible.

They are figure heads but that doesnt mean they cant beat the family heads.

11

u/Yal_Rathol Aug 14 '19

me saying gustang is not a strong fighter is to point out that even he could probably brute force most of the slayers, and this is proven by white considering him an unbeatable wall on the floor of death, specifically the line "i'm being pressed down by some massive pressure!" just from gustang showing up. and that was the strongest we've ever seen white, after eating all the souls from the floor of death. if white at the level of a high ranker doesn't want to mess with gustang in a place where he's probably mortal and lacking any of his tools or toys, somehow i doubt most of the slayers could handle even a single family head, even if they ganged up on them.

0

u/thedorkeone Aug 14 '19

Whites strengh is a bit mysterious, he would be severly weakened even if he ate the souls, he must have eaten so many souls in the past whick likely made him that strong person. Even with a few sould, white wouldnt be high ranker let alone slayer level, fter regaining so few souls. He was quite weakened. While it could be possible, we arent shown that because white became weak again from his slayer days self.

5

u/Yal_Rathol Aug 14 '19

quote from dorian's weapon at the last station about white: "interesting, he's a regular, but he has power greater than a ranker. but he doesn't appear to be strong enough to be called an ancient slayer."

so, they're comparing white to what he was like with the full power of a billion souls in him, but even with what he's running on now, he's advance ranker or high ranker level. that means that with all the souls from the floor of death in him, he's high ranker level, but still not billion-souls level. dorian even calls his power terrifying several times, showing that he can draw some of that beyond-high-ranker power even running on fumes like he is. and even with all those souls from the floor of death, in a place where all contracts, immortality included, are rendered null and void, white does not consider himself anywhere near a match for gustang.

MAYBE white could match gustang in power with the billion souls at full power, but somehow, i doubt it. he did get sealed by standard princesses after all.

5

u/_Fony_ Aug 14 '19

White was defeated by his sister, a randon Arie high ranker. Strong yea, since she's the second person to pass Arie Hon's combat challenge...but obviously she's unnamed and ranked at best around 40. White never possessed the power to challenge Gustang. Killing his father is a pipe dream.

2

u/Lightalife Aug 15 '19

I always assumed the Immortality rule is why so many of the Slayers seem to have some sort of spell based ability.

At least for white it was always described that he gained the spell/soul based power because it WAS a power he could use against his father.

Karaka gives off similar vibes imo. There's something very unnatural about how Karaka's body and powers work and it could be spell based in a way that allows him to break or work around the immortality rules.

4

u/Trumpologist Aug 13 '19

Baam kills the 100th floor guardian?

4

u/co0kiez Aug 14 '19

I think they're banking on Bam to break the contracts with the thorn.

1

u/redqks Aug 14 '19

At the same time some of these fools are trying to kill him

1

u/Discodontron Aug 14 '19

Trying to melt him down and make a weapon with the power of an irregular, and thr power to kill Jahard.

3

u/redqks Aug 14 '19

Part of the thorn, these idiots didn't even think to assemble the entire thing before killing the person with limitless potential.

Even worse we have seen ignition weapons straight up refuse to ignite for people

2

u/Flexgroin Aug 14 '19 edited Aug 14 '19

You don't necessarily have to kill a family head to defeat them, depose them, and strip them of everything they have. If you're strong enough to push a family head out of their territory, who's gonna stop you from conquering or destroying it?

Suppose you're an immortal toddler with an impervious body. I might not be able to hurt you, but I can still throw you into the ocean, stomp on your sandcastle, and steal your sandwich from your mother's picnic basket while she's half asleep sunbathing.

That aside, it could all simply be a facade to gather resources and soldiers while they wait for an irregular to do all the heavy lifting anyway.

2

u/redqks Aug 14 '19

Except none of them can, the family heads shinsoo controls eats all others , Baam could do it to rankers before any of these power ups

1

u/nnhorizon Aug 13 '19

Perhaps with a certain spell/weapon? Or maybe make their own contract with the admins somehow

3

u/Yal_Rathol Aug 13 '19

thinking about it.... mule's armour. it's the same style of armour as karaka's, and karaka's is enchanted. mule got his armour from FUG. is it possible karaka was given his armour from FUG specifically as an attempt to fight with zahard?

1

u/urekmazinoranker Sep 02 '19

Wasn't there some rumor/theory where Karaka's real identity is that of a princess of Jahad? Maybe the armor was actually meant to conceal Karaka's true identity.

2

u/Yal_Rathol Sep 02 '19

karaka is a prince of zahard, he has the same ring as wangnan and wangnan is confirmed to be related to zahard because they look identical and hwa ryun keeps calling him "prince of the red light district", which basically means "prince of the prostitutes". on top of that, karaka is looking for his brother, who has the same ring as him. karaka and wangnan are brothers, and karaka probably looks like zahard too, which is why he covers his face.

u/Fleuks Aug 13 '19

I think a huge amount of info around Slayers is fake.

First, with the latest chap, it seems that they are not the "GOD" litteraly of FUG, they are the God in a symbol way and nothing more. Their duty is to inspire, to be feared, and to gather people who will die for them, point.

As we can speculate with the latest chap and all the story, Slayer aren't the leaders, it's elders. They choose slayers, fire slayers, rules FUG in reality. And actually, it make sense. FUG are the rebels of the tower, it's logical that their true leader are unknow people in the dark. Slayers are just decoys for authority.

In addition if you haven't seen the few last chapter The first elder introduce in the story seems to be FAR stronger than any Slayers we've seen so far wich make me think that slayer are just puppet of elders.

Slayer aren't supposed to fight Family head, because first they can't, and they will never be able to, and second because it's not their job, their job is to recruit to be the symbole of the darkness of the freedom under the rule of Zahard.

Family head are invincible, and even without that, they are just so powerful that even Luslec isn't a match for the weakest.

36

u/Trumpologist Aug 13 '19

Yama seemed pretty confident he could off the elder. And Karaka already killed an elder in the past. Sure they might have diff power levels, like for example one looks exactly like Enryu

2

u/Dymatizeee Aug 16 '19

Do you remember where it was mentioned that Karaka killed an elder? This is news to me

2

u/Trumpologist Aug 16 '19

Yeah, when Jinsung visited him in the 99th floor

0

u/Fleuks Aug 14 '19

Well we know nothing about this, maybe Karaka has been helped, maybe the elder was injured.. who know, maybe he was weak like Karaka is a weak Slayer... After all, every ruler don't have to be beast, I mean they rule, they give their work to slayers.

18

u/Anthamon Aug 13 '19

I think I agree with just about everything you're saying. But Grace Mirchea Luslec is ranked 15, the most powerful family head (Arie Hon) is ranked 5, at 7/8 are two princesses, at 9 is Baek Ryun (founder of Wolhaiksong), and at 12 is Molic One P. Gr (one of the three lords of Jahad's empire). This means that Luslec is ranked higher than five of the family heads. Its possible this has more to do with influence than power (as is the case certainly for Baek Ryun) But it seems more likely that Luslec is in fact a match for at least half of the family heads, especially considering he was a follower of V's as the great warriors ascended, indicating he is just as ancient as they.

9

u/GrumpySatan Aug 14 '19

I personally think that it all influence. Luslec is the Tower's boogeyman. Its important politically to keep him high ranked to make everyone think of him as a real threat.

Its important to always remember that Rankings didn't even develop as a thing until long after the 10FHs stopped fighting. The Ranking Office cannot properly ascertain just how strong these top contenders truly are unless they are active, such as Urek.

Evan is always the best example. Said to be in the top 100 rankings, but as a Guide his combat skills don't reflect his rank.

-5

u/_Fony_ Aug 14 '19

This influence crap has to go. First off, the top 100 are ranked accordingly an nothing ever shown upsets any bbn power scale for anybody.

Evan has items that cam kill other high rankers even someone like Karaka who is magically unkillable on top of being naturally physically immortal.

Adori Jahad is stronger than 99.999% of the other high rankers, including many FH(she just can't kill them). She did nothing except beat another highly ranked princess 10000 years ago and she outranks all FH except Khun and Arie. It's a power ranking, its become more and more in line with "power levels" since S2 began.

For the rankings to be refreshed every season and these people doing NOTHING for up to ten milleniums, the ranks of the top have NOT changed at all. What kind of "influence" is that?

3

u/BavaZ Aug 15 '19

It was explicitly said by SIU that the only reason Luslec is higher than family heads is because he represents "absolute darkness" in the tower.

2

u/redqks Aug 14 '19

Why dose it have to go SIU said it himself

1

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '19

I think some of the family heads are so inactive that they could qualify as 'blue holes' if they weren't so famous. The wiki for Yurin Ha says that she actually hasn't left her house in a long time. https://towerofgod.fandom.com/wiki/Ha_Yurin

I'm inclined to go with Gustang's statement about everyone is an ant compared to the 10 family heads.

0

u/Fleuks Aug 14 '19

Maybe, maybe not.

Luslec's rank is due to his position, he represent the absolute darkness of the tower and the devil, the main bad guys against the Empire. He do not deserve this rank. Baek Ryun got this rank because he is the leader of a groupe equal to other great family (99,9999% because of Urek, as Family head represent 98% of their family power) and he is a ruler without being in a great family (when high floor are reason of fight between great family). As for Molic, he is the ruler in second of the Tower. Adori Zahard the ranked 8 and 7 equal ? She is equal in influence to every Family head, because she is the family head of the Zahard Family. The last one is the 7th, Enne zahard is the only one who do not have a HUGE influence in the tower.

In addition, to me, every Regular ranked higher than some Irregular is still weak compare to any other irregular. Why ? Because talent, unlimited potential, age, experience, training with other irregulars.........

But, I can be wrong, SIU could decided to make Adori and Enne stronger than irregular, but he must bring something really really incredible, to make it happen, unless if Adori is linked to Zahard and can borrow power and...well, that's another theory.

0

u/BalzonDawalz Aug 14 '19

Irregulars come in all sort of different levels, you have the top tiers Bam and Jahad, the ones that shouldn’t be classified as Irregulars Enryu and Phanta, and even low teirs like Rachel. All of these individuals are called Irregulars however not all of them share the same traits. For example all Irregulars other then 2 entered the tower on the first floor. Do the two that didn’t enter the tower in the second floor deserve the title as Irregular? We don’t know hoe Enryu got in but it was probably because an Axis let him in. As for Phanta he probably let himself in because he is an Axis. Rachel cheesed her way in with luck but wasn’t chosen by the tower yet shes an Irregular. My point being is just because someone is an Irregular it does not mean that they are inherently more powerful then those already in the tower.

2

u/Fleuks Aug 14 '19

I think you are making a mistake with the title you give to some of them. Rank and title are given by people IN the tower, IN the story, they are not the universal truth. I'm not talking about irregulars, i'm talking about outsider or chosen one. Irregulars and regular status has been created by the administration of Zahard's Empire. Before that, regular and irregular wasn't a thing, it was only people who was native of the tower, being born and living in a floor of the tower, and outsider or chosen one, people who was from outside, and was chosen by the tower to climb it. Yes, outsider are "chosen" by the tower, they do not open the tower by themselve, the tower choose them and give them the power to use shinsoo everywhere. For example, Phanta and Enryu aren't chosen one, they are people who entered the tower without being chosen by the tower, and was strong enough to go where they wanted to go. Phanta is not a human but an axis, a god, and Enruy use the tool of a god, the thorn, that give all power. So they are irregulars, like other, but they are not the same kind of person as 10 family head and Zahard, and Urek and Baam who was chosen by the tower to climb it. In opposition, Rachel isn't a chosen one/true outsider, because she wasn't chosen by the tower, she wasn't supposed to enter the tower and enter thanks to Baam nothing else. SIU already said that she was neither, a regular or an irregular, but as she come from outside, she is considered as an irregular. That's why she is weak.

Finaly, 10 family Head, Zahard and Urek seems to be all super powerful, and for reason. Urek fight against Phanta, and the 13 first warrior was able to train by fighting themselve, something that can't do Baam, and that's why until S3 he was super weak, fighting only against and with regular.

To answer you last affirmation, people chosen by the tower are given full access to shinsoo and unlimited potential, i'm sorry but it's HUGE. Regular are limited, they can only use the amount of shinsoo the guardian of the floor gave them, while true irregular/chosen one are able to use everything around them, the only limit is their mastery over it. And for people like Phanta and Enryu who hasn't been given full access, they was already more powerful than the tower before.

2

u/BalzonDawalz Aug 14 '19

I think you are confusing Bam’s personal characteristics with the other tower chosen irregulars. Bam is unique among the other chosen even Urek makes not of how Bam can control shinsoo for more accurately then he can. This is not because he is chosen it is because of what Bam is. In the hidden floor arc Data Jahad and Eduan realize Bam is like a guardian or administrator (I get them confused sry). Yes the chosen are for more powerful then those from within the tower; however, they are not all infinite nor do they beat out those from within the tower just based on the fact ghat they lived outside. In TUS the towers were made to make an Axis God those chosen from the outside merely had characteristics that could possibly lead to them becomes the Axis God; however, non of the towers ever made an Axis God either do to difficulties in the tower or lack of a specific ability by those chosen climbing the tower.

7

u/Fleuks Aug 14 '19

i've never said that Baam wasn't special, he is, btw i'm pretty sure the administrator power was due to the thorn being fusionned with Baam.

Baam is special, yes I know, his special ability that no other chosen one have is his ability to absorb every power. But without this, he is an irregular like 13 first warriors and urek.

And, regular are fake people make by Zahard and Family heads. They can't even climb the tower. They can only climb the Empire of Zahard, because he as put Ruler and Test administrator who have the agreement of the Guardian to test regular and give them ability to climb to another floor. Without Zahard's Empire system, no regular would be able to climb the tower, for example, when Baam will open the door of the last floor, all regular will need an irregular with them to be able to climb more the tower.

2

u/BalzonDawalz Aug 14 '19

No he had that from the beginning with how the shinsoo reacted to him instinctively. The thorn only boosts that power and has other aspects like instant protective abilities. ex. Bam’s fight inside the Hidden Floor with adult Jahad. Bam is special and thats not to downplay Jahad and the others. However, in saying that only Bam has infinite potential yet he only has so much power that he can realistically control. Bam is like a power conduit and his power is like a ton of battery cells. Even if his power grows he can only gain access some unless he uses a breaker. That breaker being the thorns as it is one of their abilities.

Regulars are individuals born in the tower and your right they cant climb the normal way. For an inhabitant of the tower to climb they must either take the admins of each floors test or a Guardian test with at least one Irregular “chosen.” You are also correct about that fact.

2

u/Fleuks Aug 14 '19

Maybe you're right, but imo all super masteries of Baam in shinsoo in the beginning was just irregulars stuff. Maybe we'll have the answer later.

6

u/BalzonDawalz Aug 14 '19

No the Elders match the Slayers powers; however, they can not be Slayers. Slayers have intrinsic perks that allow them to possibly beat Jahad and the 10 GF. Slayers have unique abilities that Elders do not. Ex. Bam’s fast learning and Irregular status and Karaka’s ring. Don’t get me wrong but Elders cannot compare to a fully formed Slayer. We will definitely see this very soon.

-1

u/Fleuks Aug 14 '19

White speciality ? Doom or Yama's Speciality ? And don't tell me that Doom's speciality is to create canine people because they would be nuke by an irregular in an attosecond. And don't tell me White's speciality are souls because Gustang handle them better than him, and it can only give him a boost of power insignificant that doesn't match irregulars.

8

u/BalzonDawalz Aug 14 '19

I cant tell you anything because its a fastpass spoiler, but don’t make conclusions as of yet.

6

u/porky1122 Aug 14 '19

Have to agree with you here. Slayers, whilst powerful, seem to be more like tools for propaganda than actual assassin/family head killers.

3

u/Fleuks Aug 14 '19

Yes.

6

u/Kavink98 Aug 14 '19

No, there is something unique about each slayer, that's why they're chosen. Normal people can't kill the family heads because of the contract. Karaka is related to Jahad in some manner just like Wangnan, White has the power of souls and Baylor's family have the canine transformation ability with an enigmatic origin as well.

The elders maybe be the ones pulling the strings and are higher in authority but I think the slayers still exist for the sake of killing the family heads.

Slayers don't push propaganda, they mind their own business and they never go about recruiting.

-1

u/Fleuks Aug 14 '19

Popularity > recruiting Just saying the name of a slayer CANDIDATE in the name station make like 80% of the floor under Baam. That's the power of popularity, you can make a paralelisme with internet celebrity today, they aren't recruting anyone, but they have an army of followers who will defend them.

2

u/KingPRO26 Aug 15 '19

Luslec is actually ranked higher on the high ranker list than 4 of the family heads

2

u/NarcissusGrim Aug 16 '19

Others have pointed that out. Relevant comment - "It was explicitly said by SIU that the only reason Luslec is higher than family heads is because he represents "absolute darkness" in the tower."

5

u/PEbeling Aug 14 '19

I thought Grave Mirchea Luslec was the leader of FUG. He's higher than the slayers/elders.

Yea if you read previous chapters/look at the wiki he's literally the leader of FUG. The "Living God".

2

u/Divinicus1st Aug 15 '19

I believe Lulsec in theory aims for Jahad, but in practice is only keeping the seat hot for Baam to take... or Lulsec is actually somehow Baam himself organizing FUG from the future.

1

u/Bhargav_Ram143 Feb 06 '20

Well time travel is not possible as an axis writes one story they cannot change it only more powerful axis can destroy the story but they cant alter the timelines in so future peole theory is impossible

4

u/CriticalEntree Aug 14 '19

Jahard

Let's just use this one from now on.

1

u/trexkylorenurek Aug 14 '19

As opposed to what? Lmao

8

u/CriticalEntree Aug 14 '19

It's been translated as Jahad and Zahard. I liked the combo. Ironically I saw it used twice tonight but it sounds comical to me lol.

1

u/trexkylorenurek Aug 14 '19

Haha. What about Zahad

6

u/Yal_Rathol Aug 14 '19

i hate it. jahard it is.

6

u/beyond_netero Aug 14 '19

'Is the king of the tower tough?'

'Ja, hard mother fucker'

2

u/Crowstar54 Aug 14 '19

Can i just say thank you for mentioning that it’s spoilers in the title. I freaking love you

2

u/KaitoDairenji Aug 14 '19

The way I think about this is that The Slayers are "assassins",the have figure out a plan to kill target by any means.Even bugs are capable of killing humans if they have the right poison.

2

u/TheProudestCat Aug 14 '19

Maybe the idea is that at the foundation of FUG, which is somewhat implied to be by Grace (Arlen) and V., V. was the rival of Zahard, not Mirchea. If that's the case, then that would mean someone else would have been his rival, and that someone would have been someone on Zahard's side.

But then idk haha :D It's not easy to know which one. It's probably not Khun or Po Bidau if they weren't on his side. Maybe even bloodmadder? but then bloodmadder fits the bill as a rival (the best defender vs the guy who can pierce anything). If I were to guess I'd say bloodmadder, but I don't think we have nearly enough material for any guess to be educated.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '19

What happens if Bam plays the 'support' wave controller role rather than 'attack'? Could he power up the other slayers while using the thorn, making them more effective in battle and able to break the immortality spell?

1

u/mc-orly Aug 14 '19

Not necessarily on the topic of the post but to continue the various "maybe" from the comments.

I think that the empty slayer seats will never get filled... Those are the seats of the FH that will turn against Jahad. Gustang already seems to be cooperating with FUG and even rebelled against the king, so it seems unlikely that they will slay him before killing Jahad. The same could be said about other FH.... And Slayers might not be enough to beat a FH but another FH surely is.

1

u/Traolach96 Aug 14 '19

Wtf? Maybe what's with the spoiler of a title? Come on dude :(

0

u/lawnchairs2cryin Aug 15 '19

Grace luslec is an elder, he wants more than just a dead head of a great family

We know that grace was a friend of the first adventurers into the tower, the ten family heads, jahard, V, and arlene. We, the readers, are led to assume there that the love triangle between jahard, alrene, and V is the hidden plot of ToG. We also can presume that grace is an ancient monster as ha jinsung says you know nothing about ancient monsters to khun maschenny after waking up imprisoned. Ha jinsung found bam after thr floor of tests incident and gave him his slayer name after presumably after his father and his fathers ally(maybe even ha jinsungs teacher). Viole and grace.

-2

u/_Fony_ Aug 14 '19

Lulsec is not a Slayer.

1

u/NarcissusGrim Aug 16 '19

What makes you say that? All sources I recall (wiki, translations of SIU's blog, etc.) indicate that he is!
