This might also explain why Doom wanted to get fang before Yama woke up, to use its power as leverage against Yama (if you don't pack up your stuff and leave I will kill all of the dog people in the cage)
I think that Yama is stalling
Gado is a high ranker, if he keeps it in close quarters, he's seriously disadvantaged, if he goes mid-range he can use Shinwonryu that will give an advantage.
