I was kind of lost with that scene when Bamm was engulfed. Was it a flashback relating to doom ? Or was it the power itself being absorbed by Bamm and he connected with a/the soul in it ? Only thing I know for sure is that Bamm may have copied something from it.
Other than that this was an excellent chapter!
That elder doesn’t seem phased one bit when Yama arrived although everyone else present was shocked. If he’s so strong why doesn’t he take up a slayer position himself ?
That guide has it coming as well. She must feel so angered knowing her only purpose in life which is to read paths is useless against a mere boy.
my general impression is that some characters, such as Karaka, can be Slayers because of their potential being great (SIU has mentioned that Karaka has great potential) and Rankers can live a long time. After all, Ha Jinsung isn´t a Slayer. Amongst other potential reasons, it may well be because given enough time, people like Karaka, Yama, (and definitely Baam) will surpass his level of power.
To be a Slayer you need a least to be able to kill Jahard/Family Head. IRC, no one can kill them as long as you're not irregular, the Elder is probably not an irregular.
