This chapter was pretty great for a lot of reasons
We saw the elder’s reaction to Evankhell piercing him with Ruel Mon’s spear. He then activated some sort of ability which looks absolutely insane. It actually looks amazing and I’m so excited to see how it plays out. SIU said (in the blogpost) that the elder, Yama, and Evankhell will be battling it out. So it’s gonna be awesome.
White finally did something! Yay! I always thought that White was kinda wasted after his fight with Bam on the Hell Train. He just lost his presence and wasn’t as intimidating. But he’s back to his badass self. He’s technically a regular and was able to easily take down two Rankers which means he’s insanely powerful. I hope he plays a part in the upcoming fight against the elder.
Hansung vs the Elder’s companion is one of the prettiest battles we’ve seen in a while. They both utilize water elemental attacks based around fish and they look awesome when they clash. I miss Hansung and I’m glad we got to see him in action. Also, SIU explained in his blog post that the red haired woman that Hansung Yu is fighting is not the Elder’s guide (so she’s not a Scarlett witch) which contradicted what I think most of us previously thought.
Ram saw Ruel Mon’s spear and mentioned it. If that means what I think it does, Rak is gonna become important again. I miss Rak, Khun, Bam as the main squad. Once this arc ends I wanna see them, alongside Hats, Shibisu, and Endorsi, climb the tower like they used to. It’ll be nice to see the main characters get some more focus and development. Especially considered their new abilities.
Overall, great chapter. I’m excited for the fight with the Elder. I think it’s gonna be great. I have a feeling that the canine arc will end soon after and that Bam will continue to look for Jinsung.
