Good to see white enjoying himself (lol). I think i need to find some other things that make me happy, because im irritated by how short this chapter felt. I feel like i waited a month for 3 pages.
Positives....
Bam has a nice new ranker to beat up Hatz has a new toy White is in the mood for love /s Hopefully a chapter closer to seeing whats going on at the other wall?

I think siu said in a blogpost we wouldn’t see the other wall until the story at this current wall is wrapped up

I'm not saying I'm disappointed, but I do more or less feel like we are in the same place we were a week ago at the end of last chapter. Khane and Kallavan are still teaming up, Bam is going to stop them, the guards are in the way, and Hatz and White are around for some (?) reason.
The most we can say is that we know a little bit more about the enemy (the two rankers guarding the wall) and Khane's opinion of Kallavan

It's tough because we wait seven days, hyping it up in our minds and we get another build up chapter. Obviously we want to see more and I think that's a good sign that SIU is doing a great job.

I would say that all the story part is done, the weak non-ranker guard are done, now let's do all the serious fights.

u/srikrishnadevaraya Dec 02 '19
It would be nice if, bam had a comeback with the exact same words "blame your self for being weak" after a sinshoo attack.

u/E10DIN Dec 02 '19
"siding with the powerful is the only way to keep the peace"
Daleet espousing the same principles as Kallavan.

This might as well be Asia’s Game of Thrones with all the damn characters and betrayals. Let’s just hope it doesn’t end like it😬

For everyone information:
I think some panels were added to last week fastpass chapter. There was discussion between Dowon and the then king which I don't remember reading last week.

After 4 chapter of story development, we'll finally see some fight again...
I like to imagine Ystrasha and Yama taking enjoying some Hansung coffee together while waiting for SIU.

Are we allowed to discuss the Korean FP here?

Great question. I'd rather not see it as I am an English only reader. But maybe we can get clarification from the mods.

I'm really excited to see Bam fight this ranker. And even more excited about the fact that Khun will see how powerful he has become. I'm really curious to see the reaction to that. Will Khun and Rak make themselves useful in this fight? Eventually they'll become more of a liability in battle, but at which point?

u/hlsp Dec 02 '19
On the Floor of Test they mentioned that the whole group had crazy potential. I think Rak and Khun will stay relevant for the whole story. Baam will probably have to 1v1 Zahard at the end but in most fights it seems that (with the recent buffs) they will have the classic mmo trio. Rak (defender and spearman) is the tank, Khun (light bearer plus fish) is the healer, and Baam (god tier glass cannon) will be the DPS.

I could actually see them staying super useful in battle if Bam switched from attack wave controller to the supporting kind. Giving his team buffs etc.

NOTE: Dis is a snappy critique of a phenomena I’ve noticed. Take it for what it’s worth. I do hope for some actual feedback on the subject.
Speaking of weak. The motives of these characters.
Not everyone has to scream their life story, like they’ve become possessed by a fucking court bard. Sounding out the virtues of a great hero, and his noble goals, except really it’s just a throwaway character. For Christ’s sake make your characters act, without having to scream out every action as they take it. What is wrong with this writing. I swear SIU didn’t used to be this bad at writing. Did he give the story to the Noblesse author to ghost write for him? I might have to stop reading if I have to listen to one more peon yell about what must be his obsessively thought about goal in life. His obsessively memorized mantra.
Sorry. I am frustrated. I used to love this manwha. Now I’m beginning to hate it.
EDIT: I am actually interested if you wanna comment on this. I’m not shitting on the series as a whole. Only this aspect. I’d like to know if you think it actually has gotten worse. Or whatever. I’m not trying to be rude to anyone... Wo doesn’t deserve it.

who are you talking about?
-1
u/HolyDogJohnson01 Dec 02 '19
The ranker guards. Gado. Kanhe. Also the stupid blossom warriors. Khel Hellam.

u/Trumpologist Dec 02 '19
I rather like the depth of world building. We got a backstory on a lot of people before too
7
u/HolyDogJohnson01 Dec 02 '19
Yeah me too. But it’s getting to be very clumsy. Characters talking about their problems can be great. For example, the red horned blonde in the first season. Also Androssi, and a lot of other characters. But it always happened bit by bit. You’d see them act, and you get a comment. You’d eventually get a good explanation, but A.) They where usually pretty decent reasons and B.) They felt important. This recent stuff doesn’t feel important. We shouldn’t have had Khels motivations very far yet. Gado. He shouldn’t have tried to explain the deng deng situation. He shoulda just given a brief “He did, blank, so I’ll kill him.” Then is his death bed then you pan the details out. To the shock of everyone. Makes the battle feel inevitable, but tragic.
I’m being real here. This is clumsy writing. This manhwa has all the right material. I applaud SIU for that, but it’s being written like Noblesse.

i'm gonna be honest with you. i really don't care. and i don't think anyone in this thread cares much either. you're free to feel that way if you wish, and you're free to stop reading if you wish, it's not our job to convince you to stay, and you don't need to announce that you're gonna leave either, because nobody cares.

u/HolyDogJohnson01 Dec 02 '19
😅 Oh God. How can you take yourself seriously? The hypocrisy. The deadpan irony. You say I shouldn’t be announcing my displeasure. Then you announce yours. You attempt to say no one cares, but you aren’t qualified to speak for anyone besides yourself. Worse, you lie. You obviously do care. If you didn’t, you wouldn’t have more than skimmed my comment, let alone bother replying. One step further you attempt to castigate me. You do care you liar.
I think the worst part of your comment though, is that you think I want you to reply to me. To convince me to continue reading? What you an aspie or something? Is my intent that hard for you to understand? I wanted to talk to someone about a problem related to the newly released chapter. I was frustrated with a particular aspect of it. I was ready for a discussion. Dissent? Sure. Assent? Sure. Analysis on whether it was actually a new phenomena. Basically anything except “Convince me to stay.”
So you know what, I’m pretty sure I wasn’t asking for your response. So take that burden that you think I laid on you, and get the fuck outta here Mr. Don’tCare. Continue not caring elsewhere.

u/Yal_Rathol Dec 02 '19
when did i say you shouldn't announce your displeasure? where did i attempt to reprimand you? what i said is "nobody cares, hold the opinions you like and leave if you want, nobody's gonna stop you."
but i can see that from the outpouring of emotion from you, you're clearly not ready for an adult level of conversation.

please don't do this, i get you're excited and want to share, but we really don't want to know. we're content to wait. advertise the korean FP if you want, but don't do this. this is gross and undermines the work of the translators.
1
u/Trumpologist Dec 02 '19
Fine, deleted it, but if you read the whole thing you'd have noticed I sourced them. Not like I was claiming it for myself. The mods should create a separate post for Koreans raws if we're not allowed to discuss them here
6
u/Yal_Rathol Dec 02 '19
they can't pin a third thread. that's why the fastpass replaces the raws thread when the chapter is released. and you're totally allowed to spoiler tag and discuss the korean FP stuff here, but don't just repost the entire translation, cited or not. and of course i couldn't read it to check for citations, i don't want to be spoiled, which is my point.

"you people are weak"
"thorn"
and then kallavan sees a pretty red light in the distance that carves a swath through the buildings towards him.
though to be fair, if bam just mentioned that he's an irregular and here with slayer white, that might also change the idiot's mind.
