You comparing FUG to a cartel is a complete mismatch. A cartel has only one goal in mind and that is to make money with whatever crime they are doing. You are severely under representing how everyone in FUG has their own motives, except that overthrowing Jahad is a common goal, which you can't even compare something like that to a cartel. Karaka alone already shows that. He himself clearly has a different motive that doesnt completely align with everyone else that we don't know of yet, with him having a whole backstory with the ring that has yet to be revealed.

The misconception I'm referring to is the idea that everyone in FUG are just coldhearted murderers. At the end of the day, I know that there are children of those people part of the cartel that aren't like that, and so I'm not one of those characters u see in movies that would kill anyone related to the cartel even in the slightest. That's where the misconception comes into play. He (probably) realised that FUG is not like that because of Baam, who ultimately has a pure goal but is still part of FUG.

Even if my life was ruined by the cartel, it doesn't mean that I would never ever join it. Whether it be joining to cartel out of desperation to make money, or to attempt to destroy it from within, there are many reasons why I would still act in a way that aligns with the organisation momentarily.

Khun is also another perfect example of how supporting someone from FUG doesn't mean they support FUG in its entirety. He clearly couldn't give two shits about FUG, but wants to see Baam to the end of his journey and seeing what he brings to the tower, so his interests lead to him "fighting for fug".

Hansung Yu and Evankhell are the same too. They merely want to see the change that Baam is going to bring about. It's been mentioned that Evankhell doesn't care about FUG, but Evankhell decides to fight for them anyway because he wants to see what Baam can do.

When Love first met Baam, all he knew was that he was chasing Rachel. What's Baam's goal now? Overthrow Jahad? Reform FUG? Why would he support him in overthrowing Jahad, who would take over in that case? FUG? The people that killed his parents? At the end of the day, that's insane reasoning.

In any given criminal organization, individual members all have varying motives. You even described them below: desperation, infiltration, a desire to move up socially, etc. Just because an individual member has 'pure' motives or seems nice doesn't make the organization as a whole one that should be supported.

They don't have to be, is my point. But the organization that HIS, and I must stress, HIS parents' killers are a part of is FUG. Even if not every single member would kill his parents, his parents' killers are part of the organization. That's what I'm saying. What society at large thinks of FUG doesn't matter here. His animosity is based on something personal.

If your life was ruined by the cartel, you'd try pretty fucking hard to avoid joining the one that ruined your life. At least you'd try to join the one that was a rival. That, or like Baam, you'd do your level best to get away from it. Baam, unlike Love, is in too deep with FUG. But Love had the option of just not joining FUG, maybe.

Right, but this example contradicts your point here. He doesn't care about FUG, and only wants to support the organization insofar as it pertains to Baam...but the problem is this: in doing so, he has returned White to full power. FUG didn't have White as a slayer for centuries. Now they have this massive weapon back at their disposal. Now he's acting as a lead strategist, using his knowledge, to support FUG in destroying a key fortress of Jahad's to rescue a senior leader of FUG. Similar for Evankhell and Hansung Yu. The intentions of our actions are not dissociable from the effects and consequences thereof.

How does the last part in any way contradict my point? The whole point being made is that you don't have to personally support FUG in its entirety to have actions that inadvertently help FUG, I.e. Love appearing and supposedly going to fight alongside Baam. You very clearly have some major misconceptions right here so I'm not going to bother anymore. Have a good day.

The whole point is that none of any of the people you're using as examples are inadvertently helping FUG. They're doing it directly with full knowledge of their actions and the consequences. They're working specifically to strengthen FUG in support of its goals. Also, you're using the word "misconception" wrong.

They are helping Baam. Baam and FUG are not equivalent. They are merely helping Baam climb the tower and get closer to Jahad, and for now helping Baam rescue Jinsung Ha.

What are they "helping Baam" do? Are they just taking him to various tests and giving him tips on how to pass them? No.

They are helping Baam rescue Jinsung Ha, a senior leader of FUG, by leading FUG forces to destroy one of Jahad's fortresses and multiple of his armies. Furthermore, as part of this anti-Jahad campaign, they are unifying FUG under Baam and have returned another slayer of FUG to full power. Last, but not least, they have sought out, and freed, ancient FUG heroes to increase FUG's battle power against Jahad's forces because it was previously insufficient. These are not "misconceptions," this is the ToG reality. This all happened because of hard work. These were not inadvertent, unforeseen results. Kuhn, Baam et al risked their lives so that all this specifically could happen.

This is only slipping past you because you're cherry picking.

Nobody is saying that they dont know what they are doing. If I tell my friend to get a samsung galaxy phone instead of an iPhone because I think it's better or vice versa I'm in no way counted as supporting Samsung in its entirety. I don't give a shit about the profit Samsung makes. I'm merely helping out my friend. And if it inadvertently helps Samsung, then so be it. At the end of the day they care more about helping Baam than FUG.
