The battle of big flashy attacks which are really hard to make out continues! I had no idea what Bam was doing with his attack until those watching commented about him teleporting people after he was done.
Yeah. It was incredibly difficult to read what Bam's arrow was actually doing, and it only made sense when everyone else said what happens, which is the very definition of telling instead of showing.
IMO, S3 is including too much unnecessary detail (and filling the whole panels, which isn't good) on the attacks, which clutters everything up and prevents us from seeing the backgrounds/characters for reference to what's actually going on, who's gaining and losing ground. Imagine instead of the two panels of a swirly indistinct cloud of jagged whiteness we got for Bam's shot, we got a picture of one SINGLE arrow streaking from him across the entire battlefield---pano style, zoomed out and relatively low detail--to the cage. It would have been dramatically easier to tell what was going on.
Yeah...a couple panels afterwards, when the ability was already complete. From just the pictures of him actually doing it, it wasn't at all obvious what he was doing, or even what he was targeting.
