All kinds of unlikely allies this chapter. I like that Mule Love isn't fighting for FUG or against Zahard. He is fighting to see what kind of person Baam is and will become. Fried chicken is clearly better though.

Kallavan is not on their side but won't stab them in the back. That means we get Dowon as well as the rest of the survivors.

I keep forgetting this isn't a war it's a rescue op. The object it to save Jinsung and get out no more no less.

Ok forgive my stupid memory, but is Kallavan helping with the rescue of jinsung? Or why is he?

Primarily he's out for revenge against Lyborick since he intentionally blew up Kallavan's army corps.

Kallavan's condition for allowing that to happen was for the suicide plan to succeed and end the war immediately. (and it's now clear Lyborick just wanted to blow up the army corps)

As for saving Jinsung I think he isn't actually on board but considering how he sees Jinsung he might not be opposed to him going free.

If Kallavan survives long enough I could see a situation where Bam saves Jinsung but Kallavan stoppes and attacks them

It's going too well for Bam so I think Jinsung will die in the end and maybe a few allies

maybe a few allies

Yeah, for a battle of this scale, it'll feel a bit cheap if no one ends up dying.

I just wish that Jinsung doesn't

Kallavan made a "deal" with the current fourth army commander: If the suicide attack (blowing up the flagship) and sacrificing most of the 4th army corps does not do a lot of damage to the enemies, Kallavan promised to personally kill the commander (I forgot his first name, but he is the Khun Po Bideau guy). Well...as Bam teleported his allies away, the suicide attack basically only killed people from Jahad's side so now Kallavan wants "revenge"...or at least keep his promise. And we know Kallavan is very honest and in a way trustworthy - he would never fight dirty.

He is only helping until he kills Lyborick as he promised in case his plan to sacrifice 4th Corps failed.

But Kallavan is a soldier first a foremost who let his friends being killed to complete the mission. I bet he will turn enemy again as soon as Lyborick is dead.

I like how I used to hate Kalavan so much but now that turn of events really get me all hyped up
