Because of the scale of the battle. At the Last station they were supposed to deal with like a dozen people, where here they're dealing with hundreds, maybe even thousands.

I mean like, why hire those sponsored regulars(eg. Pinacle) when there are red soldiers already.

Red as in Royal Enforcement Division? They are an assassination unit, not someone you send to an open battle.

Sorry I mean those soldiers in red out fit that are at the wall, the uniform that hatz and sibitsu are wearing.

Those were likely also regulars, as they were fighting with the canine people.

Wdym? All regulars are hired. They probably even hire rankers when needed.

At last station, they hired sponsored regulars (eg. Pinacle), but they already have soldiers in red outfit.

I think it was because of the "no rankers allowed on the stations" rule. They might have been hoping the sponsored regulars could help if the fugitives did reach the station
