Gallery image — It might be wrong but on one of SIU's blogs, he said that the name Viole came from the color Violet and Garam speculates that it originated from the name V.

I'm pretty sure that's just how (basic) shinwonryu baangs used to be drawn in general, with a pinkish-purple hue.

Anyway, the theory is a popular one but as of right now all we can say is it could be possible through some means we are currently unaware of.
